  • Join me on an incredible journey as I bring the past to life with Project Vistegutten! In this video, I showcase the fascinating process of creating a 3D-printed skull from a medical CT scan, reconstructing the face of a Stone Age boy who lived in Norway 8,300 years ago.
Using DNA analysis and modern forensic techniques, scientists have pieced together the story of the Vistegutten - the boy from Viste - who died at only 14 years old. Although the cause of his early death remains unknown, it appears he was healthy. This ‘lonely boy’ with a deformed skull was found in a cave, and through our efforts, we can now visualize his appearance.
In this project, I contributed by:
Converting CT Scans to 3D Prints
    Optimizing models for 3D Printing
Consulting with the talented sculptor and forensic artist Oscar D. Nilsson
This project highlights the power of technology in uncovering historical mysteries and emphasizes the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration. Watch the video to see the detailed process and the final result!
