Cave Critters, Throwback, Relaxing Game Dev by Team Students - Futuregames 20-22

  • Hey everyone!
    I’m excited to share a project close to my heart - Cave Critters! This 2D game, developed with my old schoolmates during our game design education at Futuregames (2020-2022), has the potential to become a relaxing mobile game.
    Creating Cave Critters was a journey filled with challenges and triumphs. We faced significant communication issues between programmers and designers, and some team members were sometimes less engaged, even ghosting. Balancing full-time work, studies, and parenthood, I encountered many hurdles, especially as deadlines loomed.
    Despite these obstacles, some team members truly shone, giving their all to the project. Without the right assets in the Unity store, I took it upon myself to purchase all the main assets, add-ons, and plugins. The clever 2D assets you see in the game were all handpicked to create a level design with embedded collisions.
