  • Join me on a journey through time as we explore the fascinating project of 3D printing the skull of the Bäckaskog woman, a 9000-year-old skeleton discovered in Scania, Sweden. Known as “Fiskaren från Barum,” this ancient woman was found in 1939, buried in a sitting, crouching position with intriguing artifacts by her side.
In this video, I share the 3D-printed model of the converted Medical CT scan data into an STL file and the 3D-printed skull. From meticulous resizing and refining to careful calibration and post-processing, witness how modern technology brings ancient history to life.
    Project Details:
Client: Oscar Nilsson, Archeologist and Artist
Task: Convert Medical CT scan data to STL and 3D print the skull
Tools Used: 3DSlicer, Meshmixer, ZBrush, 3D Printer Slicer.
