I am a big fan of bluey and with season 3 airing in Australia, I thought I would do a breakdown of every episode with a small review, some spoilers, and any bluey theories that might pop up. Bluey season 1 and 2 hit disney plus two months after airing in Australia so hopefully, all of season 3 will be out for everyone soon!

I love your Chanel so much
i wonder @Aussie Girl Margie. i wonder
Love you Margie
I love your channel and I love bluey and the episode cubby
I subscribed to your channel.
Let’s be honest rusty whole life makes him the perfect cricket player and the perfect person in life
yeah I think you got a point but okay but atleast we have a player that loves playing a actual *aussie sport game* in this show.
I love how Rusty showed so much concern for McKenzie in Space and also learned how to play with Indy as well as “early baby”. He also takes time to understand jack in army
@@fae206 rusty has some good knowledge with his friends and mates that he cared for that’s what a true friends are but atleast that young lad had some good heart.
I love how this episode is a prequal AND a sequel to Army at the same time, showing what happened before and after that episode and all. It develops a character that I think really needed it and is so wholesome and impactful. What more could you want out of a Bluey episode?
What I liked a lot was that the teenagers didnt scold Rusty for being that scared kid. They didnt make comments to his brother about "why do you wanna let this wimp bat? He'll just chicken out anyways!"
They really seem to be good people, just having fun.
Mia and Captain being there show that well, even before we hear any speak, since they're Bluey and Mackenzie's buddies, and one of the other kids might have been Rusty's buddy at school.
T's true!
"Giving it a go" is very much an Aussie and Kiwi value. But they'd be banter for wimping out.
And cricket is full of sledging. And the Aussie's are arguably the best at that too.
I also wanted to point out that Rusty's training not only helped him to be good at cricket but also to pass the ball to Dusty at the perfect angle speed and force for her to catch it and not get hurt
Out of all the rusty could’ve been passionate about I think cricket was the perfect one. The Australian kelpie is probably the most famous Australian dog breed, especially with the movie Reddog. Cricket is also a very Australian sport. I think at this episode it shows a lot of the values that Australians have. Especially with rusty being willing to lose to a sister, since Australians are known going to be very easy-going.
In America I would say that Australian Sheppards are the most well known Aussie breed
@@NoahStew Lol - the funny thing is they aren't Australian at all - they are from California. It would be a very rare exotic breed in Australia. It's jsut one of those weird names that mentions a place but doesn't reflect the reality. 🐶
I love how in th Calypso episode the first time we meet Rusty, Indy asks him to watch her baby while she works and he immediately says yes and starts showing Polly how to build a house and giving her piggyback rides lol. It's definitely foreshadowing his relationship with his little sister and oh it's so sweet.
And then later he and Indy play "early baby" after a mild incident and she teaches him how to handle a premature baby. It's adorable and inspiring ❤
There was a Very Tiny And Subtle detail that I saw in The Episode, during the chase scene of Rusty’s mum chasing them, Rusty’s brother hops the big fence, Rusty Hops the front yard fence and Dusty Runs through the open gate. I Dunno Why But It Makes Me Smile Seeing How Great Minds Think Alike (not to mention a great demonstration of the age difference between the siblings)
rusty's determination to keep training even after failing gave me motivation! one of my favorite episodes. :))
Love Rusty. Every episode he is in just makes me like him more and more.
I just got the chance to catch the premiere as I left work and you did a fantastic job on this video. I was really deep in thought on this episode so it was so cool to hear you say a lot of stuff I had on mind haha, can’t wait to see more rusty content soon from you buddy :)
The Dad's switching to serious game mode is more about them showing Rusty respect, more and more over the episode.
Rusty has always been my favorite and this is probably on my list of my top favorite bluey episodes. You did a great job as usual covering the episode, can't wait to see what is to come!
as someone who started being an athlete a very young age, it was really nice to see that getting represented. to see the frustration of practice and the fun that it comes along with. it makes me love rusty even more!
Rusty's no squib, he doesn't need those guys to take it easy on him!
I do feel like you missed something important about the dads, though: The first few times they bowl to Rusty, they ask him, "is this okay?" and it isn't until he makes it clear that he's more than capable of playing at their level that they take the gloves off and really get after it. That's not mean-spirited, that's just playing the game the way they're supposed to play it.
Yeah, it gets like that when we played it too. If it was one of the men doing the bowling, they would either do it gently for the little kids, a bit harder for the more confident/adults who aren't that great but still can handle it and as hard and fast as possible for adults who were good with it/the really confident older kids.
An Arc in Black Butler involved winning a school cricket tournament. The spectators and the opposing team started chanting, "It's not Cricket!" when the MC used a technique that aimed at the player's face, forcing them to block it with the bat and get the ball caught when it bounced off. Then the opposing captain shut them all up.
I absolutely love this episode, from the bottom of my heart I loved seeing Jack being happy in the car with just Rusty and everyone
I just love how rusty loves playing cricket but as a middle child? that’s a whole different story and tbh I thought he was just the older brother of dusty but nvm atleast we get a character that is a middle child.
Edit: thanks for the video 😀
I should invite rusty to my school when i play cricket in pe.
I’ve never quite understood Cricket as a sport. But seeing Rusty and his evolution with the sport really does show you that it’s more than hitting a ball with a flat bat. It’s a journey… Rusty’s new hobby that we discovered is really cool and seeing his family is the icing on the cake and learning more about Rusty’s dad is the cherry on top! Maybe I could watch some livestreams on the sport and just imagine Rusty’s in it lol. I also loved the dad’s reactions when Dusty caught the ball and Bluey is smiling! This story reminds me a lot of some other stories about perseverance like in Veggitales sumó of the Opera, the silent film Going Up and Zootopia with Judy’s dream to become a cop through trials and tribulations. And we get to see more of Jack which is my second favorite character!
Whoever got Anthony Field (The Blue Wiggle) to voice Rusty's Dad in Bluey deserves a raise.
This episode is my favorite so it's obviously a 5 out of 5 long dogs. Rusty's evolution was transmitted so clearly and I loved that. I don't know what else to say, but this is the best episode of bluey so far.
I love that his passion becomes his job and he goes to play for Australia
I went to a therapist one time and she told me from what she read in a book that it doesn't matter what grades or scores you get in life it's how being flexible to any situation is what determines your success in life. And this situation with Rusty is definitely an example of that you have to adapt to any new situation and make necessary changes to get what you want.
This is what the episode "Cricket" is all about: perseverance and never giving up especially when you are passionate about something. Rusty did actually remind me of Rainbow Dash who is also very cool and brave but has also gone through all the pain and struggles to become a wonderbolt like Rusty did when he aspires to be a great cricket player!
And the dad’s all knew Rusty went out on his own terms: deliberately hitting Dusty the catch she wanted.
I like to think Rusty and Jack still talk to each other despite his newfound sports fame
As a yank, I thankfully didn't have any trouble w/ any of the cricket stuff. They honestly made it pretty easy to understand for the episode. But seriously, it was an awesome episode. Made me tear up the first 3 times I watched it. Again, what an amazing show.
thanks for explaining cricket,I don't know anything about it,so it's always good to learn new things
As an adult myself, sometimes it hurts loosing to a child 🥲 makes me feel so old and weak, but gotta remember always, they're just kids having fun, I'm there to have fun too, not always about winning, always playing fair and with lots of fun...still hurts but yeah you get over it
Love your Chanel so much I have folllowed you with al your lives❤❤❤On both this Chanel and the other one (forgot it’s name lol) but seariously I just wanna take some time to apriciate how much time and effert you put into the videos like finding all these Seacrest messages in the episodes❤❤”thank you”❤❤And for everyone else if your struggling there is a quote I’ve always believed in “you can’t have happiness without sadness”❤❤❤
Yah. This was fun to watch and the ending was very much a feel good ending.
I think bandit was just trying to give rusty a good game seeing as the kind of swing rusty gave had an air of seriousness to it showing us that even though rusty wasnt focusing on winning he was focusing on not losing in front of his sister but when he hits her a catch we see that he also wanted to be a good brother to his lttle sister which far out weighted him not wanting to lose and wanting her to love the game as much as he does.
Hello once again Margie. I agree with your rating at 5 long dogs because that is my rating as well. I really loved the episode because I got to see Rusty’s little sister, older brother, and the face reveal of his dad. I also noticed the Rusty plush in the background with the cricket bat which is cool in my opinion and the purple long dog on the white mug. Rusty is my all time favorite character in the series and I am looking forward to watching more of your Rusty videos in next few days. Catch you later.
i love your videos margie, and i love bluey, your explanations make me love it even more!
This is now one of my favorite episodes 😍 rusty journey with cricket was amazing presented, that end is just 👄 chef kiss
Rusty's probably my fav character in Bluey.
Aussie Girl Margie have you though about comparing Bandit and Rusty also as the middle child in a family?
I am a baseball ⚾️ fan always have been. My Dad and watch every season. I love 💕 this episode so much for all the reasons that you pointed out. I have started learning cricket 🏏. It different, but I love the comradery. I love Rusty, and this show. I give this episode 8 long dogs!! Thanks so much Margie!!😃
I hope we get to see more of Rusty and his family because oh my God this episode made me adore Rusty and his family 😭
I love Rusty! I can’t wait to watch this episode when it’s out in the Uk!!

You put so much effort into them. I appreciate that. Hope you get to 100k subs
Thank you so much 😀
I have lived in the U.S. all my life, right in the middle, and have often heard -- and occasionally used -- the phrase "That's not cricket!'; even though most of the people saying it have only the vaguest of ideas about the game. It is understood that means something is not right, or fair, or proper, regardless of the idea that cricket is a gentlemen's game. Honestly, I have seen games on TV and as part of the plot in shows that were pretty intense and the players were not very gentlemanly at all (regardless of their social status). 😉
I was gunna say Dragon was my favorite episode, but this one (pun intended) really knocked it out of the park! I'm putting this one on my top list of Bluey episodes!
cricket is one of my faves, it makes me cry everytime
My favorite episode this far!
I’m all for strategy to win games but I think it should still mainly be fun and should always be fair. Competition is great but it’s important to remember *it’s just a game.* Sometimes you’ll lose, sometimes you’ll win. At the end of the day it’s just a game and if you had fun that’s what matters :)
To pout it into context - the level Rusty is shown to reach at the end is the absolute elite level - 1 in 100000 who play the game reach the level he's shown to reach. He has turned a game into a career.
@@alphaomega7191 Good point. I always forget sports can be a career 😅 I don’t usually see or hear much about professional sports tbh. I’m used to occasionally playing sports for fun and on a much smaller scale
@@No__direction__ Oh yeah me too. Rusty is essentially shown to be a child prodigy but also that he needs to work at it to truly reach where he needs to be. The fact that he also still understands the joy of it when he hits the catch to Dusty is great. I think people dont really understand how important Digger and his mates are in that too - they dont take it easy on him when he wants to play with them but they are also shown to be truly happy when he eventually rises to the occasion - when Rusty hits her the catch he doesn't make it simple she has to move and do what he showed her to do to actually successfully catch it. In a way this episode is like a more complex extension of Bike where it showed that letting people learn from their mistakes and grow and persevere is important. If you get a chance watch it again and assume Bandit is in the crowd at the end and all his narration is him telling people about what Rusty was like as a boy before he became a famous successful Cricketer and everything falls into place.
I LOVED this episode
Hi margie. I'm a bib fan of ur vids
I'll say this, there's a reason that Rusty was originally the main character of the show.
I hope we get to see more of rusty and his brother and sister
An easter egg you missed is the hot watertank in the scene Rusty is practising his hitting accuracy which is a throwback to the great Don Bradman as a kid famously using a cricket stump to repeatedly hit a golfball up against his hot watertank to increase his accuracy.
i loved this episode so much it's my favorite out of all three seasons of Bluey and i will go as far to say better than camping or sleepytime which are ones that get high praise the only negative i have is with bandit and the dad's mostly bandit when you listed back to obstacle course that was the was the first time bandit rubbed me the wrong way the other two being mini bluey when he outright showed he favors bingo over Bluey and fairytale when he was just a nasty brother to stripe
A Bondi Lifeguard once borrowed a cricket bet from some beachgoers to defend himself from a man who had a knife.
Rusty Week's gonna be fire🔥
Unrelated but your hair looks extra pretty in this video!
Ur hair is amazing❤
Hi
Played Rugby, tiny bit of boxing and years of American football but hard ball cricket scared the hell out of me mostly as my eyesight was just not good enough to pick the ball up properly. Could catch and throw it nicely though, would have wished for bigger hands though.
Where did you get the snickers plushie?! We have been looking for one!
"What does he know of cricket, he who only cricket knows" CLR James
Hi, I am from North Carolina and well In North Carolina Bluey only has three seasons’s and in the third season we only have 39 to 38 Bluey episodes so everything in Australia is really new to me. I wanted to go there so if you can tell me how it feels then that would be great.😅
G' day Cheeky Dogs I love ♥ rusty and Jack's friend ship keep up the good videos
Yes, older video, I know but i think Bluey Heeler herself mentioned something about wanting to play this Tiggy game instead of Cricket.
I looked up Tiggy which in america is called tag, but there has to be more to tiggy than tagging, right?
I didn't read it so much as the Dads where being Prideful and didn't want to be beaten by a child, more like they where playing to the skill of each child
Is there going to be more Bluey episodes in the USA?
Do u know when these episodes will come out to Disney
Thanks the nordpn link 😎
This episode, is Supergod Tier.
Is Disney going to release season 3c?
I know this show has got me playing 12 different instruments… I wanna learn how to play Cricket now
"And when they're not around, he played by himself"💀
Fine I’ll rewatch this episode for the 10th time
I don't really know if somebody have already told it. I think that Trixie and Rusty's dad are brother and sis. Bcs he is really look like the guy Trixie was standing with in the toy store. I think that he is actually a dad. I hope you'll do the update on family tree bcs now we know much more information)
RUSTY
9:50 hey missed the best bit when Rusty was clearly walking back from being out at Boxing Day test at the ‘G, most likely during Ashes going by the crowd. No doubt after getting a century at least
The ground is definitely The Gabba in Brisbane.
It's the Gabba and Adult Rusty is walking on - most likely if you listen to Bandit's narration it's him at the first test of the Summer regaling people with the tale of how Rusty smacked him around the ground while he was still a pup. I suspect it's his Test debut.
Boo who cares about the Gabba 😛 or the WACA or the MCG, doesn’t matter, where you are… 😛
@@TheMelbournelad In this case it does a bit because it then makes Bandit's narration make a lot more sense. If it's Bandit in the stands at the Gabba commenting about knowing Rusty as a pup then it all falls into place.
Why was Diggers hat brim like rolled in on the sides ? I don't get that
I think it's referencing the look of the classic "Diggers" Slouch Hat which you'll often see pinned up on one side with a Military badge..
Lets be honest rusty whole life makes him the perfect cricket player and the perfect person in life
Idea for theory: In a future season, due to having a dad in the military, and lots of screentime currently, Rusty may move away in one of the seasons for a very emotional episode.
2:40, I don't know the game cricket so it's ok if I don't know the phrase
Rusty sounds a lot like Chase from Paw Patrol. Do you think they are voiced by the same voice actor
this has nothing to do with rusty, but the bluey yt channel uploaded a 3b trailer for Disney plus! once I saw the vid i thought of you and decided to comment this.
I am curious what foreign conflict Rusty’s dad is deployed to. Like are they fighting cats in some far off land?
hi
To be true its a pretty cool show i love it i live in Australia i been watching bluey 2 years my fav episode has to be rug island but dusty would be dangerous for her she could get hit by the ball tiny lost the last time i have to say its a better to know a little more so thx love it i am 10 years old most people say that sonic is stupid i don,t get it its fine so i changed to be watching bluey
Have you guys seen the long dog in the coffee cup behind her?
AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH BLUEY JULY 12 SEASON 3 PART TWO DISNEY+ UPDATE FRICKIN FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When Rusty hits the ball to Dusty and she catches it, the adults know he's given her a sitter on purpose. They know they didn't get him out. He's given them his wicket for their dignity. He could bat all day, and now they know it.
Three words: Captain and Mia
Can you do a topic on Paw Patrol next? Do a topic of Chase and Skye are they in love?
God, I hope we see an AFL episode. 💪🙏
So is cricket just like baseball or softball?
Their similarities are that you use a bat, hit a ball and score runs, but that's basically where the similarities end. There are still all sorts of differences in the rules, and instead of bases, you run between wickets.
No
Rusty also ran six on Snickers arm.
Maybe more.
Is it just me or did they reuse the toddler MacKenzie design model for dusty because they both have a folded ear
I think Rusty could also become a very good golfer.
I wish there could be a anzac memorial episode cause it’s really important to us as aussie that our brave diggers gave their lives in the service of our country but I know it’s a kids TV show but some of the season had some of aussie celebration but it’s really important to us to commemorate our brave diggers I don’t want this to get political or anything I just wish there could be a memorial episode to commemorate them.
Edit: it would be cute to have bluey and bingo and other girls wearing the poppy on them and see them playing around 😀
Maybe an episode where Mort comes to visit, meets Rusty and they discuss the army since Mort is a veteran and Rusty's dad is currently serving. And like you said, it could be around ANZAC Day so it would have a little more significance. They wouldn't get into anything scary or sad, but Mort might have a story about a soldier he helped or who helped him out of a tough spot and he is like "I'm sure your dad is just as brave as that soldier, sport".
@@tranatkikomi6873 yeah might be like that but I really hope there will be an episode about Anzac Day.
Edit: Anzac Day is around on April 25th every year we commemorate them and remember them just to let u know. :)
It's not impossible, though it's aimed at older kids the show Hey Arnold had an episode about honouring veterans. Would have to be worked for the target audience, but I believe Ludo would be up to it.
it's just not cricket gromit
It’s about the cheese Gromit. The cheese
There’s a UA-camr that says Australians aren’t real and I was like girl they are real and bluey
The best kid show ever she made fun of it to my thought that wasn’t nice but her opinion but I love your channel and I love Bluey to
I’m like rusty I want to I want to make their first terribly horror game Bluey like how Rusty wanted to watch the score of the head 50-50 right receipts go to like hit those numbers that you said I’m like rusty I wanna do something
