    Hi. I just tried out your recipes for traditional Haitian bread and it came out fantastic!!! The only thing I did different was instead of egg wash I used almond milk wash to put on dough right before baking. I also used vegan butter spread instead of real butter. Btw; in Jamaica we eat avocado with our bulla cake or as you call bon bon sirop. The avocado with a baked product we both have in common. One love sister.

    Today I made this recipe for the first time. My dough was very wet so I did have to add more flour. I also used a little flour to roll out the dough after letting it proof - very sticky.
    I used half the dough to make smaller roles & one large roll, like what's shown. The other half I put into a standard bread loaf pan. I covered them & let them sit another half hour before baking. Instead of egg wash I used olive oil. The rolls baked for 25 minutes & the loaf baked 30 minutes.
    Despite the problems I encountered & the few changes I made, everything came out great, delicious! I will definitely make this again & again & again. Thanks.

    What is the best brand of flour to use for this? And is it the same brand you use for your cake video?

    • @sabrinaclarkkent8660
      @sabrinaclarkkent8660 5 років тому

      Lovekirana unbleached all purpose flour works for just about every baking recipe. If u can splurge go for the organic kind.
      Once u get into baking more and do it often it will be worth it to buy different kinds of flours but for now stick with all purpose

    You should have just melted the butter instead of doing all that with hands. Thanks for the recipe. I Enjoy watching you cook.

      Melted butter gives the crumb a different texture. This is basically a hard dough bread, which is why the butter is mixed w/ the flour.
