Tested this car today, it's comfort like a Toyota, soft steeling, soft suspension, plus soft sofa (buy sofa give you free car), relax sitting inside the driver seat. The reason driving in Singapore people need a comfort car is because Singapore roads come with ruts, bumps, patches and imperfections everywhere. Some drawbacks including a little unnecessary suspension swing during lane changing, but its normal for a Crossover/SUV and such a comfort car. And a small left foot space is a minus also.
can someone please elaborate the risk if battery fails.. will it be drivable if battery fails? if not that is i think a huge Anxiety related with this car. will appreciate if someone explain about this..thanks
Really interested in this car. Unfortunately Tan Chong Motors doesn't do this justice. A Serena owner had his battery fail on him and it took them a month to replace it. Seriously, agent needs to step up their game.

I have this one bugging question about 1-pedal drive thing; how do we execute an emergency break? Ok, I am sure the "intelligent mobility" drive system will cater for emergency braking when it is about to hit something. What about non-life threatening situation like in a traffic junction with the following condition (1) the traffic light has just switched to Amber, (2) you have 50% chance of braking in time (based on your past experience with brake-pedal cars), (3) there is this threatening Traffic camera in this junction and your normal judgement is I prefer not to beat the traffic light. Does Nissan's intelligent mobility system caters to traffic light situation and assist with emergency brake when you lift you foot off?
Waiting eagerly for this one to be launch in my country as well. It was supposed to launch next year, but because of the pandemic shit, it will probably not happen.
I tried Serena e-power and the engineer sound is unbearable, when you say this e-power is quiet?! Did i test drove a fake e-power?! Oh, i guess you just ‘forgot’ to mention you were driving EV mode, isn’t it?
Hey R.L, I tried both the Serena e-Power (we did a video review) and the Kicks e-Power, and the engine sound for the Serena e-Power grated on me as well. However, there's something about the way Nissan built the Kicks that muted the petrol engine in the Kicks a lot more than the Serena, you should really test drive the Kicks yourself. - Jon
Quite an interesting vehicle.. but given the recent climate, more people have been using BlueSG cars. Would be nice if you all can do a "review" of the BlueSG car. :)
@@Dr3aMz1982 You have a point! We also have to factor in the price point of the Kona and Kicks and the bigger displacement (higher tax) for the Kona Hybrid. Different cars to suit different segment needs, I guess. - Jon
Yup. But the Toyota hybrids aren’t too far off either if the engine fails. The EV mileage is only about 1-3km. But if the battery fails, the car can still run via the engine which is a plus point. The Kicks is just like an EV vehicle with the charging station onboard.
@@NTLovesMusic I tottaly agree with Nikos , also toyota hybrids are using CVT which are noisy and awful and there are too slow in the road. Also EV is only at low speeds with your foot very gentle in the gas...
Agree with you Idris...a nice quiet n easy to drive. Love the 1 pedal drive. Test drove 1 week ago

My dad bought it, and I drove it - it really is quite a good drive! The charging is quite quiet, compared to the Prius that my dad used to drive.

Yes, I just bought it yesterday. The delivery will be in Feb , 2021.
Wonderful! Enjoyed every single second of it, keep it up! :)

Nice intro idrisss! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I’m surprised that this review says it’s quiet. I thought the petrol engine is noisy 😅
How is the handling? It looks smart and the tech is nice but does the soft suspension lead to a lot of body roll?
Downside is that it doesn't support Android car play. The map will not show.

The regular brake pedal works as well while regenerative braking is active.
- Jon
@@sgcarmartreviews Oh, so Nissan's e-Power does have the regular brake pedal. Thanks Jon!

The car has normal brakes you just dont use them regularly
Can you tell me Wich one is better, nissan e power engine vs toyota hybrid engine? Thanks
*_I love One Pedal Technology used in the e-Power version!_*
i wonder if the 1 pedal drive is a good thing.. does it show the car behind you that you are slowing now?
Yes the brake lights will light up when you take your foot off the pedal.
what if the car in front does an emergency brake?! How fast would the Kicks respond to that when you release your foot off the accelerator?
Almost instant stop, well you can still step on the brake if is emergency
Just watch the vid that he crashed at parking lot

why would anyone buy the kicks e-power and not a Hybrid from Toyota or Honda? there's no fuel consumption benefit.
Torque is one big difference between electric driven cars and hybrids. This car has 260Nm - 100Nm more than the Vezel Hybrid or C-HR Hybrid.
