in this timeline vegeta was never revived and goku apparently took out buu, it may had been implied this was 2 to 4 years in the future so that ssj3 wth a 2 to 4 year training
I feel like Beerus is the most difficult character to rank on this list because the writers can't seem to make up their minds about how strong Beerus, is and how they keep Beerus as the goalpost. So, I agree with him being anywhere from 3rd to 1st on this list.
It would be kinda stupid if Broly, Cell Max, and Gohan had all definitely surpassed Beerus but the only exposition we got is Goku saying “damn, Broly might be stronger Beerus,” which was played as a joke anyway with Beerus sneezing after it was said. I think it’s safe to say Beerus is the strongest until it’s outright stated that he has been surpassed, which should be a big deal since it’s been built up so much.
@@sigiliguswow the cope with that comment is crazy. You do realize that sneezing in Japanese culture means someone is talking about you? It wasn’t played as a joke. The real stupid part is how on earth didn’t Goku surpass beerus when his super saiayn god form in battle of gods was considered a rival to beerus. This would have been excused if they explained in the show that beerus trained and got stronger.
@@A107-v9e First of all he brings up a valid point secondly why would you expect him to know that??? He isn't "coping". Also you say all that last 50% of the comment as if it's his fault
Turles actually has underrated scaling. He notes great ape gohan at 100k and was about to one shot him. That means post fruit he should be low millions and tens of millions in his great ape form
There somebody go... far exceeding reason. Nothing about Turles suggests his power is in the millions. Its the whole point as to why he needed the fruit from the Tree of Might. He can have 45 to 50,000 and a technique that pushes his power to 110K to 150K. He ran from Goku using Kioken so we know his power is low.
@@jirensentry7609nothing indicates that his technique powered him up significantly. His blast looked pretty casual. Plus even if he's only 100k in base then he still needs a fruit to be in the millions... Goku's PL was noted as rising to a high level. That just means Goku is somewhere above turles but never specified. Nothing is contradicted.
As you pointed out, the fact that Goku tells Janemba "only Majin Buu has pushed me this far in battle before" after movie 11 (in which he and Pikkon go to hell to stop Broly from tweaking) directly implies Super Janemba>>>Broly Awesome vid! ❤
Thank you! I’m really glad you enjoyed the video, and yes that’s exactly what I was thinking, so I agree with you! However some fans will point out that Koyama the author doesn’t necessarily think all the movies are linked to each other.
@@moodzi1322 not in the manga. Goku asked to whis if there was someone stronger than him and vegeta in the granola arc and he said no (vegeta only had ssjbe at that time).
That’s nothing tho. Ssjbe vegeta got his asshole ripped apart by jiren and toppo…. Then gets the same done to him by broly except in base ssjb. Then broly was beating 2 super saiyan blues at the same time. Vegeta is not touching beerus, but jiren could. He was stated to be stronger than god of destruction. Meaning there are fighters stronger than beerus himself. And broly is not that far off. even beerus was surprised at goku turning ultra instinct. If goku could master ui, he would beat beerus. Because whis is ultra instinct himself. And goku is like whis, and angel. So goku would beat beerus. Goku also knows Hakai like beerus. Goku is a genius, he knows how strong beerus is and said broly is maybe stronger than he is
A thing to note with Broly. He never actually destroyed south galaxy. King Kai sensed it was being attacked and sense it could be destroyed over time. The dub got the scene wrong since the movie is set in south galaxy.
The "south galaxy" is a quadrant of the universe with many galaxies. In Twitter Koyama said he intended the galaxy shown in the opening to be one of the myriad of galaxies in the southern quadrant.

I always just kind of assumed that in cooler's revenge, Goku had already unlocked super saiyan but hadn't mastered it yet. This explains why maybe he didn't access it again until pushed against a wall, especially if you consider he probably did not have all of that training on yardrat.
It seems like since Cooler's Revenge (alongside Dead Zone because of the Garlic Jr. filler arc) is in the Daizenshuu 7 timeline, I guess it's one of the few movies that could fit into the timeline if you say that Goku never need Instant Transmission (or it would've taken too long to initiate like when it came to saving Gohan) and that he was saving SSJ for last but got stomped before he could use it but found the will.
@@pide5960 Goku’s trip to Yardrat happened after the Frieza Saga but after he lands on Earth after Trunks kill Frieza. This is before the 3 year timeskip training for the androids. Goku found one of the Ginyu’s ship that planned to go there. In the DBS manga we find out there were other “Ginyus” there but Goku took care of it. (I assume they mean others in a faction belonging to the Ginyu Force we never heard of as opposed to other random members of the actual group that were never mentioned.)
@@ChaosGodEnerjak that just confused me all the more. Goku went to yardrat immediatly after namek exploded and came back a year later, more or less. After meeting trunks, the 3 year tine skip begins. I thought cooler came after trunks killed cold and frieza and before the androids arrived. Am I wrong?
remember, when Goku stated that Broly could be stronger than Beerus he was unaware that Beerus lied about using his full power against God Goku. Goku in fact has never fought a full power Beerus or Hakaishin form Beerus (if he has one). Cooler and Janemba are such cool villains, I just wish Toriyama brings them back instead making new one. I dont even mind if they were from different universes as long as one of them became canon.
Beerus lying doesn’t make sense. This is a show written by an author. Beerus lying is the author lying to you. Had he lied to you, he would have said so. What actually happened is the authors didn’t know where the series was going and didn’t plan ahead. Which caused many inconsistencies. Among those, is where beerus scaled. I’m not disagreeing that beerus is stronger, I’m just saying he didn’t lie. It was a plot hole.
@@moodzi1322 either you must have poor memory you or you watched a different version. After his battle ended with God Goku he said no one has made him use 100% of his power but after he and Whis left and on their way Whis literally called out Beerus for lying to Goku about using 100%. I don't know which version either manga/anime he said he used 70% (if that's the correct translation).
@@dweemiesdarkmountcalls out a person for having poor memory while he doesn’t even have good memory. The UA-camr clearly stated that he’s factoring in movie Beerus which was stated to have used 70% of his power. Toriyama stated that if Goku was a 6 then Beerus is a 7. Your argument is ridiculous and nonsensical.
i'm admittedly a broly fanboy and even i don't think broly is stronger than beerus, especially since broly's creator apparently has a bias against beerus
My theory is Beerus gets more powerful over time as he said in the Granolah arc his power grows by constantly thinking about destruction that’s why he’s a moving goal post
Beerus is stronger than Goku in Toriyama's original outline. Toriyama did not expect 131 episodes and all this crap when he only made Battle of Gods to make up for DB Evolution. So, Beerus atays ahead of Goku like Toriyama originally intended. Toriyana probably doesnt care about the bajillion transfornations Super added
I'd agree that movie Beerus is probably anywhere from 3rd to 1st but the Beerus we've been following from the anime and manga is scaled much higher because Akira probably didn't know how far the story would grow after BoG since it's still implied Goku and Vegeta still aren't close to Beerus.
Z Broly does technically have an infinite power level, he just needs to push out some of that energy so he doesn't overflow which how he lost is from Goku combining all of the energy he gained from his allies and making him explode from the energy, its more prominent in the original Japanese audio but in guessing you already knew this lol
interesting to think about broly being such a skilled fighter when the closest thing he's done to training in his whole life of having his power suppressed is destroy south galaxy unopposed, makes me wonder what he could be like with some proper training and experience, being a saiyan and all
He generates an infinite amount of energy, this is not the same as an infinite power level. An infinite power level would mean that that punch would goku would be so genuinely ineffective that it likely would’ve hurt goku’s hand, lol. I feel like you don’t know what a power level is
which is such a cool way to end such a powerful character in such a hopeless situation, too bad its not explained very well, especially in the dub, the dub is fantastic but it caused a lot of misconception about the movie at the same time broly knowing goku's saiyan name was because vegeta out right called him that earlier in the movie right in front of him, which doesn't happen in the dub
This is pretty interesting, I can appreciate the effort you put into researching this topic. I’m also completely in agreement that Janemba tops all DBZ movie villains.
meta cooler is underrated if he wasn’t stupid enough to take goku and vegeta to where his core is he’s basically unstoppable for a decent amount of the villains (they could blow up the planet but 1000 meta coolers all being higher than ssj level aren’t letting that happen)
He beat goku and vegeta easily. All he had to do was just kill them, but nope he decided to absorb their power And like you said. Did it right by his weak point
Don't call Super's Broly a villain he was only doing what Frieza and his father told him to do! During the fight, Goku even says something related to Goku believing Super's Broly is a good guy and that he doesn't have to do what Frieza and his father tell him to do. At the end of the movie, we see that Super's Broly is actually a very sweet and kind saiyan along with when he was talking to Cheeli on Frieza's ship.
Excellent video! Couple of things I had to ask though; -It’s implied in Movie 10 that this is an Adult Gohan who hadn’t stopped training, since the manga chapter revealing that hadn’t dropped yet, and he’s drawn like, very vaguely more muscular. It’s a small thing, but it might’ve put Broly 10 higher on your list. -would it be possible that Metal Cooler would be higher as well? Goku and Meta Cooler are able to battle inside Instant Transmission, meaning they have similarly irrelevant speed to Janemba/Gogeta, no? It’s not a strength feat but the speed and regen hacks ought to put him a spot or two higher. -at first I was a bit surprised at Cell Max being lower than S. Broly, but I think it’s hard to really say heads or tails in either direction. Both Beast Gohan and Gogeta are a bit hard to properly quantify since they do insane shit and haven’t shown up again yet. I think either one being the top contender is easily viable, especially since it’s theoretically possible that Broly could’ve just kept climbing past even Gogeta if he took too long to win. That’s all I had in mind. Thanks for the video; interesting stuff and well-researched!
You know people don't get it but cooler is like the predator he has an honor a hunt like feel also he is a capable fighter in hand to hand and a beast in combat
Hey, I am the one who originally uploaded that Lord Slug image that’s seen in your video. Awesome to see some stuff I uploaded so long ago on a random UA-cam video!
The biggest problem with using the South Galaxy feat with Broli is that it isn't all that impressive in the *context* of the series. Think about it this way: Broli having that power makes him monstrous in the movie. But he also was contending with, basically, Pre-Cell Games versions of these characters. Gohan and Goku aren't even Full Power Super Saiyan yet, so it puts him *even lower* on the totem pole of power if Goku is able to defeat him with the combined, exhausted, ki of 4 other people. Regardless of whether this seems rushed, it *is* what happened. So destroying a galaxy, apparently, isn't all that impressive once you get to those higher levels of power.
No Broly handles them pretty easily and doesn't even get scratched once... everything else is just the classic dragon ball inconsistent yet consistently bad writing Characters are as strong as writers feel with no actualy reasoning or base for it... Broly being the strongest saiyan is about the only thing that makes sense... he wasn't very well done in the Z movies but super did some justice even to his story
Well this dude does get quite a bit wrong about the DB movie's. 1. You can't fallow them in order of release date, as they actually do all happen in the same timeline. 2.the characters don't match their main timeline counterparts, as they are way more powerful. Number two is backed up by the fact super perfect cell could only destroy a solar system, while Broly (which is the correct way to spell his name.) Is a galaxy plus being. Which by the way is actually more powerful than the main Dragon Ball timeline characters. As the past four movies and the dragon ball super manga and anime contradict the original time skip.
Garlic jrs “heavenly realm” statement applies to the lookout as that’s where Garlic jr was and is known as heavenly/heaven in the earlier arcs of DB when it was first introduced. He never says he’s going to suck up heaven itself. In fact, he only says he’s going to suck up Gohan, Piccolo and Krillin. So the Daizenshuu, while right 99% of the time either plucked that out of their a$$ or they meant the lookout. The Daizenshuu has also gotten things wrong before. Not to mention a post Namek Gohan could resist the dead zone who was weaker than a fresh Piccolo when not enraged who, the last time he fought was weaker than third form Freeza. There’s no way Garlic jr at his strongest was stronger than a hypothetical Oozaru, post fruit Turles. Also, the Cooler power level from V-jump is for a game, not the movie. Thirdly, Bojack can’t fit into the main timeline. Trunks went back to his time the very next day and stated it took 3 years to charge the Time Machine. Hence why he came back when he did during the android arc 3 years after killing Freeza. Baby Trunks was still a baby and Gohan was clearly still the same age he defeated Cell at. For this to have taken place it would have had to have happened the SAME DAY Cell was killed as Trunks had already cut his hair the next day. Seeing as everyone went their separate ways after Korin and the world itself was still getting over Cell it’s all but impossible. Also, M10 Gohan was stated to have kept training after Cell. So he’s much stronger than canon. Additionally, the check in station to hell is not an infinite distance in any anime based version of DB. Goku fell asleep on snake way which is connected to the check in station by a short distance and ended up in hell within seconds due to falling off. I really hope this narrative stops getting pushed. Also, every ogre would also have irrelevant speed as they freely travel between hell and the check in station. Lastly, and I don’t know how this rumour got started (I do actually) but Piccolo never compares the Gammas to SSJB. It’s Gohan and Piccolo haters that invented this narrative by saying “oh it was the last time he saw them” or “Toriyama started the movie before finishing the Moro arc so he meant when he last saw them.” There’s 2 glaring problems with that. 1. The last time he saw Goku he was in UI fighting Moro!!! And Vegeta was using spirit fission while being in SSJBE. Neither were in blue the last time Piccolo saw them fight unless they were warming up or running out of ki. Again, that’s some made up narrative to try and downplay Gohan and Piccolo because they don’t want it to be true. 2. Toriyamas comment about Piccolo being able to rival Goku and Vegeta again came AFTER the Moro arc had finished and the Granolah arc was midway. It was June 2022 and that was when chapter 86 came out. Gas was already going berserk, Goku was using his pseudo Susanoo and Vegeta had unlocked and already fought with UE. So both reasons to downplay are utterly debunked.
foreal ranking beerus any lower than 1 is a disrepect to him. the dude legit fought multiple gods of destructrion at the same time in a barely complete ui form
In the movie it was stated 70% He outright says it. In the anime he was most likely bluffing when he said another number. Beerus is a moving goal post as he gets stronger over time. If beerus said 70% at lets say episode 1 of super, then by the time it was episode 50 that percentage for that EXACT FIGHT would drop as his power rose higher. Think cheats/hacks for scaling.
@PheonixBlaze01 70% was said in the movie and in the anime hr lied to goku when he said that to dissapate a blast he powered up to 100% which whis calles him out on on the way back to his planet to what he laughed at
@@rolodwayne5841 Except the video make made it clear that he was scaling MOVIE Beerus, who scales differently (the Super movies in general aren't a one to one continuity with the anime or manga anyway, hence why Goku didn't use Kioken against Broly). Beerus lying was strictly an anime only thing, and it was in reference to him telling Goku that he was using 100% of his power in their fight. The 70% line in the movie, however, came from Whis, who obviously had no reason to lie about Beerus' strength while talking TO Beerus himself in private. I.e. Movie Beerus wasn't as strong as the inconsistent moving goal post version of himself in the anime and *especially* the manga.
A really nice video, with very accurate and easy to understand scaling. Only thing is that Janemba's and Goku's speed isn't irrelevant, just infinite. They traveled an infinite distance in a finite amount of time (infinite speed), and not in zero time (immeasurable speed) or in negative time (irrelevant speed, or arriving before you left).
I actually think Bojack is slept on by a lot of people, not sure if he should be higher but he does deserve a fair bit of respect. He did try wipe out entire galaxies until the Kai's sealed him away. He KO's Super Sayain Trunks with one hit that generates that much power Vegeta can feel it. He then takes Vegeta out of SS form in seconds and wipes him out as well chills whilst Trunks is full on pelting him with blasts. I wouldn't say he relies on his gang as much as he finds it entertaining to have company sort of like Thanos in the MCU. It takes Gohan reaching that much power he cuts two warriors in half with a simple punch and a kick to beat him. Really enjoyed the video
Thanks man, that’s a really good comment. While I agree he deserves more respect but I doubt he’d be much higher on the list. If we want to be really nice to him we can place him above movie 8 broly. But not movie 10 broly.
Ssj2 gohan stomp him so hard he couldnt do anything. While ssj2 gohan had a lot of problems with broly, he was that strong that he tried to get him caught on lava. To actually win him he needed goten and some little power of goku. I know ssj2 teen gohan is stronger than ssj2 adult gohan but one fight was a literal stomp and the other gohan wasnt even near to kill broly with his own power. And talking about first broly well, he fought against 4 super sayans and piccolo at the same time and they get washed they didnt do any damage to broly until the last goku punch. So i dont think he is even stronger than broly at his first appearance.
Meta Cooler should be in the top 5 if we consider the army. The only reason he lost it's because he brought them where his core was. Imagine an army of 100+ super sayan level self regenerating machines vs most of the other villains. They would stand no chance.
Meta Coolers Hax alone put him near the top, if not the top 5. He can literally tank moves from everyone and come back from anything, and can't be killed in the same way he was "destroyed".
The spirit bomb is a slightly inconsistent unit of measurement for feats, seeing as it's like a Punisher drive in terms of effect. The more evil you have in your soul, the more Damage the **INITIAL* hit of the Spirit Bomb would do. However the **SECONDARY* explosion is just a ki Explosion thats possibly enhanced by the evil you got beaten for before. So in conclusion, Yeah the spirit bomb is weird lol.
@@jameskelso2435 they don’t even know if it’s possible in the first place. Their judging that too early. So for now Beerus is the strongest until the creator himself confirms it, not the fans.
Yeah I gotta agree I think DBS Broly is the current peak as far as movie villains. Only reason he lost that fight is, to quote ghost Nappa, "His Rage Broke" and he kinda snapped out of that state of mind where he needed to destroy everything and everyone in sight. I mean he started attacking Whis who was just standing on the side lines watching. But at the end you see the fear and confusion in his eyes like he didn't fully understand what was happening.
@@georgethomas4567 But he still would have lost. Gogeta didn't get hit a single time after turning SSB and he lapped the rage out of Broly because he was so powerfull that even in rage, Broly was simply scared of how much more powerful Gogeta was. Broly was scared because he knew that even at his peak, Gogeta was about to kill him. So yeah Gogeta easily destroys Broly any day of the weak. SSJ2 probably would have been enough for Broly, Gogeta definitely didn't have to go SSG or SSB, he just wanted to end the fight because Broly kept evolving.
@@EskChan19 If he kept evolving he didn't peak. But I understand what you mean. Broly was struggling to keep up with Gogeta. But with enough time Broly might have been strong enough to beat him or at least hold out until the fusion ended. Because remember it's explained that the stronger they are while fused the less time they remained fused. It's happened in both Super with Vegeto, and GT with SS4 Gogeta. But with them knowing that going into fusing Gogeta probably knew it as well. So he starts the fight base form, sizing Broly up before going SS and SSB to finish the fight. But if Broly had gained enough power to keep up he might have outlast the fusion. It's just really fun to think that Broly in just his base form was able to keep up and even straight up body both Goku and Vegeta in SSG. Then when he turned SS it took them fusing to even stand a chance. And just think as of Super Hero. Broly is training with Goku, Vegeta and Whis to learn to harness and control that rage like Kale. If Broly can do that well.. that's it.. He's the strongest. I think at that point he could probably body Beerus if he didn't use Haaki. But in terms of Broly and Cell Max. Broly 100% would win that fight. I mean an exhausted Orange Piccolo was able to hold him off for a decent amount of time. And my guess is that Orange Piccolo is somewhere around SSB maybe SSB evolved. But Broly straight up embarrassed both Goku and Vegeta in Blue when he went SS. So if he and Cell Max ever threw hands. My money is on Broly. Hopefully Broly becomes a main stay character moving forward. Just imagine him with just SS2? Straight broken.
Whis stopped him with a finger lol. People who think anyone other than the other angels and gods of destruction are as powerful as Beerus and Whis are having a laugh.
Considering Piccolo scaled up to holding off Cell for a bit, I believe that Lord slug could theoretically scale close to actual super Saiyan levels, maybe close to 3rd to unpowered 4th form Freiza. He is technically a being of the same caliber as what Piccolo and Kami fuse to be, because that's what they were before he split to take the position as guardian of earth.
I think you’re missing something about Gohan in Second Coming, during his fight with SSJ Broly he states or at the very least implies that he had been training during the 7-year time skip. So he should be drastically stronger than not only the Gohan we see fight Dabura, but the Gohan we see dominate Cell. And dude still couldn’t put much of a dent in Broly. Also, Family Kamehameha inherently granted Gohan and Goten power boosts because their ki became more in sync. It’s stated that by combining their powers, multiple fighters can become stronger than the sum of their parts… essentially Fusion but to a lesser extent. It’s also why Goku got such a huge power boost against Broly in movie 8. This is why Goku kept yelling at his sons to literally work together, because Broly would win otherwise. We can’t forget that Goku was also providing encouragement to Gohan and Goten, and we know courage is one of the several components that make up ki energy. I believe that’s more than enough of a justification for how they were able to overcome someone who, in one of his weakest forms, could shatter 1/4th of the universe. So I would still argue Broly should be higher on this list, because it’s only when the characters featured in the first two movies acquire insane buffs when Broly starts losing the upper hand.
@@peanutmurgler the statement you’re referring to is just mentions that Gohan has “powered up” since his last encounter with Broli. This could mean his acquisition of Super Saiyan 2, it could mean him just being stronger than he was in M8 rather than the Cell Games where he was stronger than Goku. It isn’t solidifying evidence of him actually training in the seven year gap, and since it directly follows the plot point of him neglecting his training it’d make no sense for him to mean that.
All the movies being a different universe makes the hard to scale to canon and also is been stated that movie characters are stronger than there canon counterparts, But Goku doesn’t seem 3 million in base against slug
True but we have to take into account the narrative intention behind these movies. Characters are scaled based on what was happening in the main time line. The author koyama had to take into account the events of the main time line and draft villains that scale similarly to what was going on. Ofcourse that doesn’t mean that the movie characters are equal, but they are similar in their characteristics.
Great video but I believe that gogetas Star dust breaker actually erases evil, which is why broly was unaffected. But if this isn't the case, then dbs broly survives hakai post granolah arc and that is just insane.

@@bitviper3430yeah the power growth was insane, once he surpassed Sjj, Gogeta didn't simply go Sjj2 or 3. Man skipped them and went straight for Blue, which what make this scary, while the fight was a stomped for Gogeta after going Blu, it wasn't like simple One hit KO like you would expect or humiliating fight like Gohan vs Cell where power of sjj2 made 50x multipler into a 100x, that allowed him to bully and have the power to eradicate cell in seconds Broly took multiple attacks and multitude of ki bombing by Blu Gogeta with the intent to kill, before he was put down.
Nah he reached his limit. You can see him trying to power up but he still gets clobbered by Blue Gogeta. They seemed pretty even at first, but with every hit Brolly looked more and more tired, to the point at which he was barely standing when Gogeta was charging his Kamehameha to finish him off. He has a ceiling, he isn't just going to get infinitely stronger. Hack, he would have lost to Goku, but Frieza killed his father and made him go Legendary. Again, he has limits.
I made this list based on in-universe feats and statements, not the official/pamphlet power levels, or the guidebooks. The latter of which are very inconsistent. Some characters power gradually changes throughout the movies they're in: Turles, Lord Slug, Broly, etc. This isn't just a "one size fits all" list, so to speak. Meaning some characters will be on the list more than once. I'm not adding any other form of Hatchiyack on this list (Super, Giant) due to not seeing the OVA's. It also seems as if the Raging Blast remake is now what everyone goes by when referring to Hatchiyack. Each character is being taken from the movie/special they posed a threat in (with the exception being Garlic Jr. because he gets an anime entry as well). this is the best scalers. i agree with u from the movie release, Broly is the strongest character now by Toriyama. Toriyama used to be beerus as benchmark but now is Broly
- Broly DBS is not villain. - Broly movie was 2 sagas earlier than Super Hero. It's like comparing saiyan saga characters to Buu saga characters. - This video was made by 50 IQ person. 36:06 Where you heard Gamma is Goku Blue level? It's stated Gammas are Goku and Vegeta level but there is nothing about Blue. If you ever watched Dragon Ball then you must know selfdestruct attacks are always strongest. Super Broly was scaled to Jiren, who was the mortal who surpassed God of destruction. Goku needed MUI to match/best Full power Jiren in the TOP. Funny enough, DBH Jiren was suprised by Gogeta’s strength and asked why Goku and Vegeta didn’t use Fusion dance in TOP. As they want to prove their individual strength.
Great video, the only thing I would change is putting Beerus at number 1. This is purely due to the fact that, while Broly is rampaging and Golu and Vegeta needed to fuse to beat him, Beerus was basically napping on a pool lounger getting a tan, if he was concerned about Broly's power as a threat to him, he would have gotten involved.

I always just kind of assumed that in cooler's revenge, Goku had already unlocked super saiyan but hadn't mastered it yet. This explains why maybe he didn't access it again until pushed against a wall, especially if you consider he probably did not have all of that training on yardrat.
I assumed the same thing. But mainly because I was a firm believer that some dragon ball movies occurred during the main time line.
So the movie excludes goku's trip to yardrat? I thought it happened in the 3 year time skip???
@@pide5960 Goku’s trip to Yardrat happened after the Frieza Saga but after he lands on Earth after Trunks kill Frieza. This is before the 3 year timeskip training for the androids. remember, when Goku stated that Broly could be stronger than Beerus he was unaware that Beerus lied about using his full power against God Goku. Goku in fact has never fought a full power Beerus or Hakaishin form Beerus (if he has one).
Cooler and Janemba are such cool villains, I just wish Toriyama brings them back instead making new one. I dont even mind if they were from different universes as long as one of them became canon.

Well his power is maximum, therefore nothing can be above it.

He generates an infinite amount of energy, this is not the same as an infinite power level. An infinite power level would mean that that punch would goku would be so genuinely ineffective that it likely would’ve hurt goku’s hand, lol. I feel like you don’t know what a power level is
which is such a cool way to end such a powerful character in such a hopeless situation, too bad its not explained very well, especially in the dub, the dub is fantastic but it caused a lot of misconception about the movie at the same time
broly knowing goku's saiyan name was because vegeta out right called him that earlier in the movie right in front of him, which doesn't happen in the dub
Only things I learned from this video is the existence of the guidebook and that it is absolutely untrustworthy.
This is pretty interesting, I can appreciate the effort you put into researching this topic.
I’m also completely in agreement that Janemba tops all DBZ movie villains.
I love the implication from Frieza that the reason why his new form is Gold seems to be on purpose, meaning he can change the colors of his forms.
meta cooler is underrated if he wasn’t stupid enough to take goku and vegeta to where his core is he’s basically unstoppable for a decent amount of the villains (they could blow up the planet but 1000 meta coolers all being higher than ssj level aren’t letting that happen)
He beat goku and vegeta easily. All he had to do was just kill them, but nope he decided to absorb their power
And like you said.
Excellent video! Couple of things I had to ask though;
-It’s implied in Movie 10 that this is an Adult Gohan who hadn’t stopped training, since the manga chapter revealing that hadn’t dropped yet, and he’s drawn like, very vaguely more muscular.
Beast Gohan apparently won against post Granolah arc MUI Goku. So he is definitely above anyone besides Beerus in here.

Jenemba has one of the best design
The movies are in their own timeline, where Cell would presumably also be way more powerful.
@@PartofHistory214or just bad writing
No Broly handles them pretty easily and doesn't even get scratched once... everything else is just the classic dragon ball inconsistent yet consistently bad writing
Characters are as strong as writers feel with no actualy reasoning or base for it...
What's the need of writing Broly with an 'i'?
Why not write Goku as "Gokū" or Bulma as "Buruma"?
Didnt Whis call out Beerus by saying he lied about how much power he actually used; implying Beerus didnt even use 1% of his power?
foreal ranking beerus any lower than 1 is a disrepect to him. the dude legit fought multiple gods of destructrion at the same time in a barely complete ui form
@PheonixBlaze01 70% was said in the movie and in the anime hr lied to goku when he said that to dissapate a blast he powered up to 100% which whis calles him out on on the way back to his planet to what he laughed at
@@Erzo2509 Yep.
Didn't realize how much I was waiting for someone to over analyze my childhood television 😂

He lost cause gogeta owns him
@@Deathmare235 Oh fully agree. But if Broly didn't get the rage slapped out of him he would have continued fighting.

He’s not missing anything of the such as none of this is true
@@cantstopbrock I’m open to a refutation
@@peanutmurgler the statement you’re referring to is just mentions that Gohan has “powered up” since his last encounter with Broli.
This could mean his acquisition of Super Saiyan 2, it could mean him just being stronger than he was in M8 rather than the Cell Games where he was stronger than Goku. It isn’t solidifying evidence of him actually training in the seven year gap, and since it directly follows the plot point of him neglecting his training it’d make no sense for him to mean that.
@@cantstopbrock I think that’s fair, then I would say at the very least he scales above the Gohan that fought Dabura
I've never watched Hatchiyack but now I know why the monster from the TOP looked so familiar. Didn't realize they took inspiration from this
You mean Aniraza looks similiar to Hatchiyack.
Agree with everything in this video but Beerus is definitely still the strongest
Great video on ranking each of the villains from Dragon Ball
Thank you!
25:15 also vegeta stated that gohan had gotten weaker since his fight against cell. But loosely though since yk, alternate timeline.
7:23 genuinely what is this guy talking about
Glad to see your content getting better and better
All the movies being a different universe makes the hard to scale to canon and also is been stated that movie characters are stronger than there canon counterparts, But Goku doesn’t seem 3 million in base against slug
True but we have to take into account the narrative intention behind these movies. Characters are scaled based on what was happening in the main time line. The author koyama had to take into account the events of the main time line and draft villains that scale similarly to what was going on. Ofcourse that doesn’t mean that the movie characters are equal, but they are similar in their characteristics.
@@moodzi1322for you Goku has more won or lost these count the all fights db dbz dbgt dbs and movies dbz
Absolutely great video from beginning to end. Please continue to do what you do 🙏🏿
Great video but I believe that gogetas Star dust breaker actually erases evil, which is why broly was unaffected. But if this isn't the case, then dbs broly survives hakai post granolah arc and that is just insane.
He still got kinda hurt by it
Yoooooooo the Super Saiyan 3 Gohan theme! What a way to end this banger.
I hope toriyama brings back other movies from z what he did with broly should be the stepping stone imagine a cooler and janemba movie
I don't know about cooler, his comeback would be nice, but way too late. Like what did he do for the past 40 years?
@@Golden_M4no frieza race has never really been explored the movie could explain who and what frieza people are about. Cooler was not a conquerer like frieza and was more mature maybe he's not aware about any of the z fighters and doesn't know king cold is dead
@@jjbjjb273 that's precisely the point. If he doesn't know what happened to his family and doesn't train, he'd be weaker that frieza
@@Golden_M4noWell in the movie I’m pretty sure Cooler knows that Frieza “died” so I’m not sure why he wouldn’t know
THE GOAT IS BACK
Beerus Is a weird one to rank as the writers change him from time to time. They said he was using 70% against god goku but one shotted a evo blue vegeta and is far stronger than ultra ego. In anime continuity he is weaker but in manga he is some unwritten monster theybhavent scaled yet
The point of Beerus is he has no limits, not any foreseeable ones
Whis stated Beerus was lying about that 70% he probably was only going like 5% or even less since he did 1 shot SSBE vegeta
@@jameskelso2435 He most likely can still easily beat ultra ego
I would appreciate numbers! On the ranking. Over than that good video
I think broly is the strongest in that hé would have Just kept Growing out of control until he surpassed everyone if he hadnt been stopped
He 100% would have. That’s why Gogeta went for the kill.
@@bitviper3430yeah the power growth was insane, once he surpassed Sjj, Gogeta didn't simply go Sjj2 or 3.
Man skipped them and went straight for Blue, which what make this scary, while the fight was a stomped for Gogeta after going Blu,
it wasn't like simple One hit KO like you would expect or humiliating fight like Gohan vs Cell where power of sjj2 made 50x multipler into a 100x, that allowed him to bully and have the power to eradicate cell in seconds
Broly took multiple attacks and multitude of ki bombing by Blu Gogeta with the intent to kill, before he was put down.
🤡
But Beerus’s power is far beyond mortals
Nah he reached his limit. You can see him trying to power up but he still gets clobbered by Blue Gogeta. They seemed pretty even at first, but with every hit Brolly looked more and more tired, to the point at which he was barely standing when Gogeta was charging his Kamehameha to finish him off. He has a ceiling, he isn't just going to get infinitely stronger.
Hack, he would have lost to Goku, but Frieza killed his father and made him go Legendary. Again, he has limits.
Amazing list
Glad you enjoyed it
I made this list based on in-universe feats and statements, not the official/pamphlet power levels, or the guidebooks.
For example, Frieza is more powerful in Dragon Ball Super: Broly than he was in Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection 'F', but Frieza was the antagonist in the latter, so that's what we're going with.
Weakest to strongest...
Garlic Jr. (DBZ Movie 1)
Super Garlic Jr. (DBZ Movie 1)
Turles
Dr. Wheelo
Frieza, First Form, after being revived (DBZ Movie 15)
Garlic Jr. (Garlic Jr. Saga)
Turles, after taking a bite of the Fruit of the Gods
Lord Slug
Lord Slug, after wishing for his youth to be restored
Super Garlic Jr. (Garlic Jr. Saga)
Turles, after finishing the Fruit of the Gods
Super Garlic Jr., after the Makyo Star gets closer to Earth (Garlic Jr. Saga)
Cooler, Fourth Form (DBZ Movie 5)
Great Namekian Lord Slug
Broly (DBZ Movie 8)
Cooler, Final Form (DBZ Movie 5)
Meta-Cooler (DBZ Movie 6)
Android 13
Meta-Cooler, power increases after repairs (DBZ Movie 6)
Bio-Broly (DBZ Movie 11)
Super Android 13
Super Saiyan Broly (DBZ Movie 8)
Bojack
Legendary Super Saiyan Broly (DBZ Movie 8)
Super Hera Bojack
Super Saiyan Broly (DBZ Movie 10)
Legendary Super Saiyan Broly, after dispelling energy to regulate his power due to it overflowing/rising (DBZ Movie 8)
Legendary Super Saiyan Broly, Full Power (DBZ Movie 8)
Hatchiyack (Plan to Eradicate the Super Saiyans)
Legendary Super Saiyan Broly (DBZ Movie 10)
Janemba
Super Janemba
Hirudegarn, lower body, upper body, then full body restored
Phantom Majin Hirudegarn
Frieza, First Form, after training for four months (DBZ Movie 15)
Frieza, Fourth Form, formerly his Final Form (DBZ Movie 15)
Beerus (DBZ Movie 14)
Yeah, we know this eventually gets retconned, but this is where he places based on the Battle of Gods movie.
Broly (DBS Movie 1)
Golden Evolution Frieza (DBZ Movie 15)
Wrathful Broly (DBS Movie 1)
Super Saiyan Broly (DBS Movie 1)
Cell Max (DBS Movie 2)
Full Power Super Saiyan Broly (DBS Movie 1)
This is where I stand with my rankings now. These could change down the line.
If anyone has any comments/questions, feel free to reply.
List is great, I would say beerus is the strongest with hindsight, but just based on that movie his placement is right
Agreed. I wasn't factoring in Beerus being the ceiling that Goku and Vegeta aren't supposed to reach.
Can you do a video ranking all the movie heroes from weakest to strongest
I don't remember where but i saw an statement that said that the gohan in broly second coming was an alternative gohan that keeped up with his training during the 7 years.
I think it’s the daizunshuu
Great video!
this is the best scalers. i agree with u from the movie release, Broly is the strongest character now by Toriyama. Toriyama used to be beerus as benchmark but now is Broly
Broly isn’t even stronger than Vegeta let alone Beerus
I honestly wish they made a whole movie for Hatchiyack
The fight with broly took place in the south galaxy
Jenemba and Hirudegarn where my favorite 2 movies along with cooler's return. Deff epic villain movies.
Broly is the dragon ball version of Hulk.
About golden frieza, Goku was using saiyan beyond god which is basically super saiyan god but without the red and slender body
Majin Vegeta selfdestruct did more damage than Goku SSJ3 to Fat Buu. You even know who is Majin Vegeta?
Good job😊
Super Broly was scaled to Jiren, who was the mortal who surpassed God of destruction. Goku needed MUI to match/best Full power Jiren in the TOP. Funny enough, DBH Jiren was suprised by Gogeta’s strength and asked why Goku and Vegeta didn’t use Fusion dance in TOP. As they want to prove their individual strength.
love the format! keep it going
Beerus is still by far the most powerful "villian". He's stronger than current Black Frieza.
Its crazy how cool old movies look the fight scences really went down in quality a shit ton
Best video you did yet bravo 🎉
Great video! Enjoyed all the research and depth you went into
Dope vid!!
Great list dude. Enjoyed the long format too
Man what is that song during the Janemba section , that track is amazing
Fang of critias. It’s a goated yugioh soundtrack
@@moodzi1322 thanks man
Awesome video btw , my friend has been getting me into dragon ball , and your channel seems amazing to get around the series
I wish Goku would bring back the ckassic Dragon fist move. It was epic to see
There’s enough info about like when it was made that in the second broly movie the gohan who fights broly was one that never stopped training.
I love Dragon Ball! Thanks for this awesome video!
I love the tfs reference for some of the villians being unoriginal but how did you not choose the "frieza did it" joke for that.
Don't care about power scales. Janemba was the best movie villain even without having a personality or character development. That was just pure quality animation! And it was in 1996!
Using Kami no Ikari from Yu-Gi-Oh is much appreciated.
Love the yugioh theme used in the video
