If anyone wants a written explanation of the process, I've typed it out: Most COST Efficient Method of Lvling Equipment: - Go to Ch.1: Primus Island - Normal Mode. - Choose the "Where the Dead Sleep: Final" battle (Hope's fight, aka Hope Dojo) - Auto-Play (grind) this fight to get 2* Weapons/Armor (any party can do this easily). - Go to enhance weapons/armor when you have a decent supply of 2*/3* items. - Choose a 2* item, and fuse either other 2* items, or 2*/3* orbs into it. Max it to Lvl 5 (avoid limit breaking and save 3* items). - Repeat this process until you have a decent amount of Lvl 5, 2* items (avoid process on 3* items, end result not worth cost). - Choose 4*/5* item to enhance, and use these Lvl 5, 2* items OR Lvl 1, 3* items as the materials. - END RESULT: Higher Item XP (550 XP per Lvl 5, 2* item OR 600 XP per Lvl 1, 3* item) for lower gold cost (Cost increases every 5 Lvls). While you do get higher amounts of XP from Lvl 10, 3* items/4* items/5* items, using them as materials is not efficient due to high cost of lvling, and the passive abilities. XP COMPARISON: - 10 x Lvl 1, 2* items = 1000 XP - 10 x 2* orbs = 1500 XP - 10 x 3* orbs = 3000 XP - 10 x 4* orbs = 5000 XP - 10 x Lvl 5, 2* items = 5500 XP - 10 x Lvl 1, 3* items = 6000 XP - 10 x Lvl 1, 4* items = 12000 XP - 10 x Lvl 10, 3* items = 19500 XP - 10 x Lvl 15, 4* items = 48000 XP
Not sure if you've overlooked it but on 6:28 you will actually need 15 2* gear to max out a 2* gear. You have selected a 1xLv3 and 3xLv1 that's why you've max it out with 14 2* weapon.
ALSO, if you have 2*(2 star weapons), you can use 2*(2 star Orbs) to level them up to a 2* Level 5 weapon for the same amount of Gil instead of constantly farming weapon and combining 10 2* weapons and then another 5 to make a 2* level 5 weapon. 2 different methods but 1 is a lot more time efficient
for addition, use that red gems to get 2 star weapons to level 5 instead of using equipment as materials. they cost the same 250 for 10 but gems give 150 exp. so yeah it need 10 red gems to get 2 star equipments to levl 5

This is really not worth the time so this is better: - use moogle keys to open the golden cactuar mission - use a gil book ((you get 2 for free each week so just buy 6 more for 600 gems (you get 600 gems for free by logging in 2 days) as youre getting 8 moogle keys a week)) this way you can make more than 1 million gil / week and basically farm 30 mins a day only also use your sp for (currently) orb spring pt 2 - gain 10 level of any character combined and refresh sp - repeat you can mlb (max limit break) a weapon without having to heavy grind - if you like to grind for it after you maxed out all characters feel free to run your hope mission and use 2 stars directly as youre getting ALOT more exp....gil is not a big thing with golden cactuar
Yeah you get a lot more xp, but end up spending a lot of time getting all of those weapons to lvl 5 and spend 3500 gold in the process. So technically for 5,500 xp you spend 10,500 gold. Still more efficient than using those rubies though, I will give you that.

Selling the 3 stars equipment is the way to get gill ,

emmettazhar you have to limit break your weapons by fusing the same weapons together. For a full weapon you need 4 of them fused.
