Great to see the admiration between these two.
Excellent !
Those are some hard benches at the Cat, but worth the pain. Oh to be back there.
This was shot from my favorite spot, the bar stools closest to the band next to the piano. Unfortunately the last few times (post Covid) that I was there they had removed those bar stools.
@@JamesSterling There were a couple of stools with somewhat padded seats when I was there in Dec. 2022. I am bringing a cushion next time.
@@billbush1270 Good idea. By the way, I was back at The Cat in January and the bar stools at the end of the bar were back.
@@JamesSterling they didn't want to upset the famous and influential James Sterling.
@@stewartfenton7660 Hah! I only wish I had that much influence.
THANKS James. Marla, Shotgun and the whole New Orleans scene hold up wonderfully when a Yankee, classically trained 'Pro' shows up. Some kinda music from both women as well as the band .. hard to tell who was having more fun. Another one of those 'moments'
Pro, indeed! Barbara plays trumpet in our good friend Conrad Cayman's band, The Big Butter Jazz Band (as well as several others) out in Los Angeles. It was great having her sit in.
Great texture/feel in Precious Lord.
Sounds great!
The lady sitting in really gets it!
The lady is Barbara Laronga who was visiting from California where she plays regularly with various bands.
Ah John smiling as usual
