You usually get graded on the strength of your argument, your ideas, your structure, etc. Fluff doesn't mask a lack of those things if they're missing. Most of the time I took off few or no points for the length: the issue was the lack of the things I mentioned above. If an essay did a good job but was short, I didn't really care. But length minimums are usuallycreated to give an idea of how much you need to write to assignment thoroughly and effectively.

I'm speaking from experience because I used to follow ALL of these TikTok Essay "Tips" but it was all useless, my teacher shortened the elongated phrase to a single word :) Be wise y'all.
