Also, with the court change tspikes only poisoning instead of badly poisoning, the guts and toxic boost mons will live on more turns than when they hold toxic orb

Been loving the vids lately haydunn keep it up! Really love the beginning intro where you explain your strategy for the battle, really helps better go with the battle and understanding your thought process and such throughout the battle. Even though you do a great job explaoning it as the battle happens, idk i still love the beginning intros lmao. Keep up the great work haydunn, love to see it as always!

Toxic boost Zangoose is one of my favorite pokemon of all time. I use one in my battle tree team on my Ultra Moon and it's so fun.

I was going to say that a ghost type could live a facade from Zangoose, but then I realized that they are already dead
I actually use cinderace with pyro ball, high jump kick, acrobatics and u-turn, and so far, it has been great
clever strategy. Must have been stoked when it worked.
That court change looked really cool too. Sweet move I didn't even know existed.
Wonder if something like sticky web + defiant would prove useful or not.
Having +2 attack on switch in sounds pretty decent, though the speed decrease is a bit of a pain.

Awesome battle! Just curious why you go for Silk Scarf on Pokemon like Ambipom or Dust Buster over a life orb? Seems like the recoil is negligible on such squishy boys
I’m guessing the fact that the toxic spikes that he needs for this strat end up giving Ambipom too short of a lifespan if it runs LifeOrb. Especially if it’s a toxic poison, you’ll only get like 4 turns out of it even if it isn’t hit once by the opponent
In my head, all those type-boosting items like Magnet and Sharp Beak only increase the power by 10%, but it's been 20% since Gen 4. Funny the stuff that passes you by.

I guess use either toxic debris or toxic spikes, and court change to sweep with a poisoned/toxic gliscor

You could also use this strat to run Poison Heal Gliscor (if it's available in SV or SS at this point)
Gliscor is a flying type so it doesn’t get to touch the toxic spikes
@@Haydunn Ah, my bad... It'd be busted if it could, though. Not even with Roost, gravity or smack down? I feel like it'd have to touch them if it could use roost (or gets hit by gravity or smack down)

Is this team rentable?
This is overcomplicated and inconsistent, a much easier and more consistent strategy with less counterplay would be to skill swap synchronize onto the opponent and then use will o wisp on them with your guts mon. Make sure to pack knock off on the synchronize mon in case of ability shield.

I did this in gen 6/ gen 7 days with skill swap - give opponent magic bounce, use toxic spikes to put them on my side, then sweep with either zangoose (toxic boost), breloom (poison heal), or mightyena (quick feet). The other team members were a flying-type (xatu - skill swap), someone with levitate (weezing - toxic spikes), and a steel-type (mawile - Mega) so there was never a downside to having the spikes on my side. It was so fun.

Can You Bounce Hazards Back and Forth If 2 Pokemon Both have Magic Bounce?
@@Mr.Brothybear I believe it only bounces once. A magic bounce pokemon cannot bounce back an effect that has already been bounced once. So, it can't bounce away its own move.
I thought that Haydunn stole my idea because I had come up with this about mid-late gen 7 (absolutely improved in gen 8 with Cinderace), but I see that my original idea is but an imitation after all. Good on you for coming up with the wild idea though. It has always been one of my most fun and wild concepts of any of my teams
@@cjer6040 Thank you! But I'm sure I was not the first to think of it either. Maybe _that_ specific team composition, utilizing the full potential of putting toxic spikes on one's own side of the field. ORAS was my time btw. I made something like 20+ competitive full teams of 6 in that game, most teams capitalizing on some crazy strategy. I dabbled a bit in USUM, but nowhere near the amount of time I spent on ORAS.
