When she could not cook anymore I had to take up that mantle I even went to prayer meeting to ask for them to pray for my cooking to be at least edible. but the way you make these recipes easy my family is enjoying food again.

I had somewhat of a similar situation but it was my Mom that did all the cooking in the house. However when she passed away. I had to cook for myself. Went on UA-cam for some cooking ideas and I keep getting better and better. Thanks AB and most of ALL. Thanks to the Almighty.
I'm a seasoned cook, 72 year's old and I have to say your way of explaining things are simple enough even the beginner can follow. Ty so much for your channel.
You can also put crust in the bottom of pan first (remember to grease bottom before adding dough) put pan in oven until slightly golden brown than add pie mixture and cover with add'l. pie topping, bake now you have a chicken pot pie with top and bottom crust. Note: do not let bottom pie crust fully brown. This recipe is exactly how I make my pies except I cook my chicken, make a batch of pie crust (freeze some) that way it's always ready to go. Left over turkey is good too.
Made this for my boyfriend and his mom and I SWEAR his mom called me and asked me to make some for Christmas 😭 his family now calls it my famous pot pie but I always let them know I got help from AB🙌🏼

I just found you tonight! I make my pot pies just like yours but I make a bottom crust, bake bottom crust , cool it completely and fill. No issues at all. When my crusts are brown, it’s done as it’s fully cooked before you cover it with dough. It is SO easy and delicious! 🥧🥧🥧🥧
I added no salt chicken stock, crème of mushroom soup. I also substituted celery for a small can of cream of celery soup! WOW! This is sooooo delicious!🥰 Chef is DA BOMB!!!

Whenever I want a pot pie, I go to the freezer isle and grab Banquet...never enough, but tasty. I’m glad I saw this recipe. I didn’t use the cream and I used plant based butter. I made this dish on January 2, 2020, and I couldn’t find the Pillsbury Pie Crusts anywhere. I bought the Jiffy boxed pie crust mix instead. What a surprise! Everything came out great! No more Banquet Pot Pies for me!

I’m making this right now but I made my own pie crust and I’m using seafood because I don’t eat meat..broccoli instead of green peas and no bouillon cube but I had some seafood stock...oh my goodness thank you for the recipe I tasted the filling and almost passed out it’s soo good! This looks fantastic! Can't wait to try it out. I'm going to add some poultry seasoning (couple teaspoons), pepper, & use phyllo instead of a top pie crust. I love how puffy phyllo gets on top of meat pies! For phyllo, you use melted butter to brown it, & it's done on each sheet of phyllo you use. Pie crust, I'm with you on the egg to brown it, for sure.

Even though this video is 2 years old I came straight here for the recipe. The only thing I did different is I added a lil cream of chicken soup & instead of pie crust I used crescent rolls for the top. Turned out 🔥

I made this last night and tried to make it by memory. The ingredients were all out of order and all over the place. But it was still AWESOME! Chef AB is the truth! I brought one dish of two to work and folks went nuts! Creole Kick ain’t no joke either. I layered it (kick) with the garlic butter (one) seasoning after each ingredient. 🔥🔥 Egg wash was wonderful. AB, what’s popping my Mane? I made this pot pie today! And it was the 💣!!! I like a crust in the bottom of my pie too so I used a deep dish pie crust and a half sheet of puff pastry crust to cover it. I have made this recipe 3 times. The first time I used the rotisserie chicken from the store because during quarantine 2020 that was the only meat in the store. It was SO good and easy! Then I made it from leftover turkey. Keep your turkey pan drippings and use that for the broth. Or boil the turkey carcous after you take the meat off. This is my favorite! I have also made it with chicken that I had to cook. It comes out bomb as well just takes much longer. His recipes are legit!

I tried this for dinner tonight. I ended up following the recipe closely and I did need another cup of broth like yours did. Only change was I used fresh baby carrots instead of frozen. This tastes really good!

AB…step by step (with you playing on my phone 😁) added celery to the onion & butter mix, I used bone broth I made from a rotisserie chicken…skin, bones and drippings, my veggies were roasted potatoes, onions & carrots and I used puff pastry on top. It made 6 individual pot pies…4 of which were enough for 2 meals. I gave 5 of them away, 4 to my neighbors and 1 to my mom. The ❤️ of the recipe is yours and everyone that ate it said it was “the best I’ve ever had”. I know for sure it’s the best chicken pot pie I’ve ever had 😊😁🥰 THANK YOU AB!!!

Well...my subs..my celery is bad so used celery salt, no eggs cause it cost too much, so I will be using butter for the crust, using pastry puffs with top and bottom crust, and the filling is soooo Delish! I was looking for a chicken noodle soup by AB, but couldn’t find one. I made this yesterday and was so surprised at how easy this is to make. I saw another tutorial that was very intimidating; the broth alone took several hours to make. This was straight to the point, easy to follow and the results are fabulous! I had enough filling for 2 9” pies. Thanks AB. All of your recipes that I’ve tried have turned out great (on my first try)!
Oh man... We just had this for the third time and I had to return to thank you. It's so good and yes, easy. We did the egg wash on the crust originally and loved it, but tried the butter and favor that. But both ways are great! Thank you much for sharing this recipe!

IF u want a bottom crust - pierce, crust & bake that a little B4 adding your filling (maybe 10 mins @300-325).
I use a combo of butter and EVOO.

I used whipping cream too. Instead of bouillon cubes I used better than bouillon in my mixture

I'm going to add some poultry seasoning (couple teaspoons), pepper, & use phyllo instead of a top pie crust. I love how puffy phyllo gets on top of meat pies!
For phyllo, you use melted butter to brown it, & it's done on each sheet of phyllo you use.
Pie crust, I'm with you on the egg to brown it, for sure.

Even though this video is 2 years old I came straight here for the recipe. The only thing I did different is I added a lil cream of chicken soup & instead of pie crust I used crescent rolls for the top. Turned out 🔥

I made this last night and tried to make it by memory. The ingredients were all out of order and all over the place. But it was still AWESOME! Chef AB is the truth! I brought one dish of two to work and folks went nuts! Creole Kick ain’t no joke either. I layered it (kick) with the garlic butter (one) seasoning after each ingredient. 🔥🔥 Egg wash was wonderful. Thank you, Chef AB for taking the mystery out of cooking.

AB, what’s popping my Mane? I made this pot pie today! And it was the 💣!!! I like a crust in the bottom of my pie too so I used a deep dish pie crust and a half sheet of puff pastry crust to cover it. I didn’t have any garlic powder so I roasted a head of garlic and used it in my filling! Thank you for making my kitchen one of excellence! I appreciate you my Mane!! ✌🏾 👊🏾! “I’m out!”

I have made this recipe 3 times. The first time I used the rotisserie chicken from the store because during quarantine 2020 that was the only meat in the store. It was SO good and easy!
Then I made it from leftover turkey. Keep your turkey pan drippings and use that for the broth. Or boil the turkey carcous after you take the meat off. This is my favorite!
I have also made it with chicken that I had to cook. It comes out bomb as well just takes much longer. His recipes are legit!

My wife was speaking on me making pot pies about a week ago so I made this for my family and i gotta tell you that we loved it. My 5 year old was like Daddy this is busting busting respectfully 😂 Everyone in the house had 2nds. I will like to thank you for this recipe. I put crust on the bottom of mine and made my own chicken broth along with the store bought broth. I think its time to put me uo a BIGG slice for tomorrow because by the time i make it home from work tomorrow all this will be gone

I tried this for dinner tonight. I ended up following the recipe closely and I did need another cup of broth like yours did. Only change was I used fresh baby carrots instead of frozen. This tastes really good!

AB…step by step (with you playing on my phone 😁) added celery to the onion & butter mix, I used bone broth I made from a rotisserie chicken…skin, bones and drippings, my veggies were roasted potatoes, onions & carrots and I used puff pastry on top. It made 6 individual pot pies…4 of which were enough for 2 meals. I gave 5 of them away, 4 to my neighbors and 1 to my mom. The ❤️ of the recipe is yours and everyone that ate it said it was “the best I’ve ever had”. I know for sure it’s the best chicken pot pie I’ve ever had 😊😁🥰 THANK YOU AB!!!

Ok...you gonna make me call you Uncle AB! I am literally making this right now. My rue is more brown. I made rue before and it was alright! Well...my subs..my celery is bad so used celery salt, no eggs cause it cost too much, so I will be using butter for the crust, using pastry puffs with top and bottom crust, and the filling is soooo Delish! I got my chicken in the pressure cooker which is the first time ever using it. I just got it! This us my 2nd attempt to chicken pop pie. The first time I used the can of mushroom and chicken, but I DID NOT like the taste or the pie crust with it! Well...Uncle AB!!! The Bible says Give Honor where Honor is Due! Thank you very much! I was looking for a chicken noodle soup by AB, but couldn’t find one. I made this yesterday and was so surprised at how easy this is to make. I saw another tutorial that was very intimidating; the broth alone took several hours to make. This was straight to the point, easy to follow and the results are fabulous! I had enough filling for 2 9” pies. Thanks AB. All of your recipes that I’ve tried have turned out great (on my first try)!
