Perfect balance for qualifying maybe, but in the race he lacked pace and he finished half a minute behind Alonso despite having started on pole and being the entire first stint ahead of him.
NtsParadize I know that, but he didn't finish half a minute behind just because he carried less fuel, it was because he lacked pace. His balance was more oversteery than Alonso's and that's not what you want in a track like Silverstone.
@Ntsparadize, not only that, but Kimi was actually going to get pole until he slid wide at the final corner. Otherwise Hamilton wouldn't have even been P1!
Harry Jean Charles perfect lap?!?! NO! He had some oversteer in some moments but lap isnt perfect, still enough to get pole, but alonso and kimi were by far better in the race pace
what he doesn‘t mention - before he went out to set this lap, he had blocked Fernando Alonso such that he could not complete a lap any more. What happened five weeks later in Hungary was a payback action. In the end, Kimi Raikkönen won the title.
