He even broke my finger during a dodgeball game in 76.. I was in a cast for 2 months at age 11....what a rifle for an arm he had. Great Athlete. Made us NDG guys very proud.
When I was in 9th grade, my dad told me that when he was a kid, the reason why there weren't very many black people playing hockey was because they couldn't afford the equipment. Also, I know 2 black people who watch hockey. And I've been to 2 Bruins games and a Devils game, and there were next to no black people at the Bruins games. But at the Devils game, at least 1/3 of the crowd was black.
Well no... but you're fooling yourself if you think they won't sell themselves for some extra cash. Over the course of a life, the money doesn't go as far as you think. That's why they're trying to put the Avery rule in place to help manage money earned during hockey to fund life after the game.
Peter Bak I understand what you're saying but some players (including Max) make more in one season than your average worker makes in a lifetime. Selling yourself to a McDonald's ad when you clearly wouldn't eat that garbage on a weekly basis is just wrong. Especially a company like McDick's which preys on ads geared to make young people think it's a great place to eat... because even pro hockey players endorse it. Max Pacioretty made $4,000,000 in 2014, he doesn't need extra cash anymore. If he feels he does he can find a thousand good causes to support, but he chose dirty McDick's.
