By my knowledge, China so far has no diverted any water from yarlungzangbo, salween river and Mekong river. Neither has China any plan to do so. The water for the north and south diversion is all from Yangtze river. China has built power plants on Mekong river, yarlungzangb river and tributaries of salween river. But the existing international laws don't deprive China of such rights.

If these projects make India suffer (surely it will), They should learn from that too. Their dam building has horribly affected the agriculture and life of Western part of Bangladesh. Just because Bangladesh is weak compared to India, they justify their aggression. So Chinese projects will definately hit hard India and it will ne justified accordingly
Deny China the heights advantage as missiles fired from the Himalayas are strategic compared to ground launch and the whole of China is within range from the Heights. Chinas might take Taiwan and the heights together simultaneously as evident in the heavy troop buildup at the border otherwise coalition forces will pound China from the Heights. Like the Golan heights are strategic for Israel’s defense so is the Himalayas for Chinas defense.

Chinese dams tends to burst prematurely thanks to tofu dreg construction by chinese firms. So the dam will do more harm to chinese than to us. All India need some tanking facility which India is doing. Plus land slides, quakes are common occurrences in those region so good luck to dams. Expert question feasibility of the dam project. Let them build the dam to eventually crumble bringing amusement to us.
