He looks so tired he probably can't even show the shock and enthusiasm I bet he went thru sleepless prior nights while maybe still rocking the same shirt on before the big delivery day .. lol
I go to DMC Midwest a few times throughout the summer. I’ve upgraded VIN 2188 quite a bit over the last year. They do good work and I only live about two hours away so I drive up there.
My car was only 15 cars later than his, so on the assembly line at the same time. I also live in SoCal so I’ll meet him soon. Mine is a re-VIN’d 15xxx. My engine is 7834, which is 63 engines earlier than his, and I’m 15 cars later. Of course, they bought the engines in batches and paid no attention to installing them in any kind of order. And yeah, the gas thing often stops. Lots of owners report that.
Sweet DeLorean... I would just lower the suspension to match the "Original" idea John had... Damn restrictions were lame Also, did anyone else notice how it hasn't been registered since October 2015??? That's when Doc and Marty went to into the future
Sigh, much like the American middle class, middle range DeLoreans are eroding. Long gone are the days of reasonable, fixer upper Ds. They're either total shitbox basket cases or immaculate museum quality gems. My dad had a chance to buy one about 20 years ago for $19,000. It was out of our price range then, but totally affordable for us now. Who new that a decade later, that would be considered a steal.
So in most videos of DeLoreans I can hear some weird sound, kind of a whine when you turn them on, like at 12:37 or 17:21. Mine doesn't do it. Is it a flaw or does it have a purpose ?
@@RommelAndaya Thanks! Probably means it's been disconnected in mine somehow. I can't say I'm complaining, cause I'm not putting my seat belt on to reverse out of the garage. ;)
@@DeLoreanDestiny I live in Mass so it stuck out like a sore thumb to me. The Shea's who own a screen used one live up the street from my parents so I know they are rare around here.
thanks for sharing. Very close to my VIN 10227
Congrats from VIN # 15877. I had this same moment last month and have been living the dream ever since.
Love it, live the dream! Bets wishes from snowy Germany
Oh I was looking at this very car! God I wish I was able to afford one
Two years today, I arrived! Living the dream!
One year today, I arrived! Living the dream!
Prices are soaring. That is one hell of a gorgeous example. I will never own one, but I can admire from afar.
never say never as long as you're still breathing ..

oh wow....WOW that frame is IMMACULATE I have never seen one this nice from DMCH
DMC no matter how good it looks, its engine is as reliable as a snitch working for the mob.
Rommel! This is awesome! -Erkki
Awesome man!! Cool car bro,..!

Congrats, man! You’re going to have a blast with your car! Btw, the frame looks practically brand new! Nice find! Cheers from 5144 in San Diego!
I agree with 5144. Nice looking car! 4930 in FL. And I was extremely nervous when first driving mine. You'll get used to it.
Nice clean under carriage. All around nice DMC.
Very nicely refurbished 👍
Great catch i ♥️ it!
After 40 years not many BMWs are in this kind of shape
Looked almost new underneath. Lucky man.
Beautiful! 😳👍🏻
Three years ago today, I was delivered! Still Living the Dream!
And *driving* it!
Just seeing this now. Awesome!
Hope you enjoyed it!
Congrats!
Upgrading the suspension is a must definitely do some light motor work And exhaust give it a little pep
It makes a difference!

744 is serviced by DMC Milton, FL. 🤣
I like the interior smell on mine. Out of all the cars I own.
what does it smell like?
@@codyfreitas8353 Like a new leather coat.
Its actually really fascinating because I've never sat in one and always wondered how they smelled.
Love the earlier "no lines" hood style. Less is more!

Yea, this year, I was looking at non-working, fixer-uppers going for $20k. By the end of the year, rate for the same car is now $30-35k.

It's the seat belt warning buzzer. It's normal. I think there might be a wire that you can disconnect to turn it off.

Is that a Massachusetts inspection sticker in the windshield?
Yep
2015 too!

How much did you pay for the DeLorean?
The engine of dmc -12 doesn’t sound right
that engine would be straight out, first thing i would do.
and what engine would you do?
@@DeLoreanDestiny I didn't really think about it. Maybe an SR20DET? Nothing crazy just something to get the car moving.
@@7xXSE7ENXx7 I hear ya! I'd probably do a 2JZ turbo!
What was the price range of yours
At the time this was a mid-upper $40K range
It doesn't go up to 88 mph?
@Steven It's got to be 88 mph to time travel.
@Steven No hate whatsoever. Love the car.
_"Live the dream."_
Or nightmare however some view the Delorean.
how bout converting it to electric
No thanks. Faster engine, yes!
