Really appreciate this long-term review, I really do feel that CW is the sweet spot for premium watches but at an level thats attainable. From what I understand, the larger luxury manufacturers still have better finishing, but not by much. I have been trying to decide between an Oris Aquis and the Aquitaine and practicality wise, CW really knocks it out of the park
I own the C65 super compressor and two Aquis - blue and green. CW quality is amazing. The case, dial, indices, and braclet on mine are top notch. Saw the Acutaine in person at Wind Up. Not my style but very impressive finishing. I LOVE my Aquis - modern, unique, robust, and the sunburst dials are magic. If you want more understated watch go Aqutaine, if you want something that pops go Aquis. Good luck and get what makes YOU happy.
"...the hour hand looks like it could leap right off the dial and cut you with scalpel like precision." Mate this is UA-cam and you're out here dropping poetry.
I use CW as a great benchmark for bracelet quality and pricing. They have continued to evolve the bracelet and now they have quick release, half-links, screw end-links and the micro adjust. For me, if you're going to buy a watch, on a bracelet, that costs $1,100 or more it has to have these features. Glad you like the C60 after a year, Sam.
Hey Conrad, I promise next time I speak to Mike at CW I will let him know he is missing out on an important demographic... Merman and Ghost Pirates protecting Davy Jones's locker 😂
@@CasualWatchReviews 332.35m The deepest dive The world's deepest dive on open circuit scuba stands at 332.35m (1,090ft). It was undertaken by Ahmed Gabr in Dahab in the Red Sea on 18/19 September 2014 after nearly a decade of preparation. The descent took only 15 minutes while the ascent lasted 13 hours 35 minutes.Dec 2, 2021
@@CasualWatchReviews I am sorry I lied about my diving abilities. I am satisfied with the 600m water resistance and I will consider purchasing the watch.
I have the same watch in my collection. For some reason I have been wearing this watch much longer that the other more expensive watches that I have. Thank you for the review.
It's a beautiful watch! I've had my Bronze C60 Trident Ombre for about three years and I love it! It's the MK II with the cathedral hands. The dial is stunning and it's had enough time to develop a nice natural patina.
Preaching to the converted here Sam! I have the mk2.5 version of this, which in all honesty I prefer, the handset in particular, the guilloche dial too, but completely agree with all of your positives...
"600m water resistance, more than you'll ever need." This is true for me. If I'm ever 600m underwater I've made some bad people very, very angry 😆 Great review.
Love & hate story with mine, one of the best looking watch I experienced under 2k, no QC flaws, stunning for the specs, real strap monster. However, had an issue with the crown only 2 months after the purchase, but got it back in a month with the impeccable customer service. Sold it after almost a year with a small loss. I miss it sometimes.
This is classic CW - but I’m glad that moving forward all their watches will have a date at 6 (unless they are no-date of course). What do you think of the change? I also much prefer the new logo that will always be at 12 and not, GASP, the 9 o’clock. CW quality is insane and they put out so many great watches both “classic” and more modern style (my usual preference). They have something for most everyone.
Great looking watch! I find myself wearing the watches that have better time keeping more than those that don’t 😆! Wearing my 39mm Explorer…………+2 seconds/day.
Very enjoyable review. I do appreciate that you took your time to really get to know the watch. I have this exact model and it has fast become my favorite, go-to watch. My only quibble is that it's running about 7 seconds fast per day. As you say, it's livable and it's within tolerances, but I'd like it if I could get it a little tighter. I asked Mike France when I met him at Wind Up a couple of months ago if it would violate the warranty if I had a local watchmaker adjust it. He said it wouldn't (providing the watchmaker doesn't damage the movement, of course) and suggested I could also send it back to CW. Anyway, I'd love to know how accurate you were able to get the movement. I have a Hamilton with an ETA 2824-2 that gains around 2 seconds per day an I'd love to get that close with this movement, if it can be done. Thanks.
Hey Rhett, thanks for watching! I got mine to about 5 seconds. But I’m just a hobbies and only timed it once. I think you could get better taking your time doing it!
Thanks Sam. It is a marvelous timepiece. I'm not a diver person but do have a Casio Duro aka Marlin that's my "good" beater. Granted, apples and oranges (or better pineapple and sweet potato) but it raises the question if this CW is 20x better than the Duro. And what better than a Marlin on a diver.
Yes its totally personal preference I agree, as you know I have owned the duro and the CW at the same time. There is a big delta in terms of case machining, quality and the overall feel of the CW. I passed on the Duro to a colleague and kept the CW. For me, its the story of the brand and the effort that has clearly gone into every watch I have reviewed. But your right, the Duro will last you for a long time and looks a lot more expensive than its actual price.
@@CasualWatchReviews Yes, it is a beauty, and if I were dailying it then the quality pays off, esp. with the loyalty perks. My point was whether it's 20x, not, say 5-10x better. But as the saying goes, you want best value in wrist watches? Buy a Casio F91😉
Hey Gary, if I'm wearing my watch on a NATO I always use these 'fat' spring bars, they are a lot more secure www.crownandbuckle.com/fat-spring-bars-20mm.html

Great review Sam. Long term reviews are, in my opinion anyway, always reflect the true feelings for a watch, both good and bad. I have four CW's and can only see more being added. Their recent tie in deal with Everton Football Club might slow that progression a little though.
US Excise Duty and DHL fee will be about $85. CW need to get the price of this built into the watch at point of sale. They've been promising this for 2 years or more and if the US is growing as they say it should help them a lot as the additional fees and having to faff with DHL are surprises US customers don't need.
@@CasualWatchReviews The threshold for fees is $800. With the recent price increases and especially on a bracelet most CWs are going to be above that limit. Any COSC or titanium CW is going to be over the limit (let alone the C60 Concept...)
@@CasualWatchReviews weird I got hit with a $100 or so fee when I bought a Sealander gmt which was $930 or so last year. I’m in the 🇺🇸 I think once the price exceeds $800 or so you get hit.

So CW, had their chance, and blew it,, !! Great video btw,, 👍
John, Why didn’t you simply email them a second time? And what’s a “long time” to await a reply? I’ve typically gotten replies from Christopher Ward within 2 days. I suppose, though, if a Seamaster is a “second choice,” you didn’t do too badly. :)
This is 100% false. I have never received a free watch from them. I know many UA-camrs who review them and none have received one for free. And they are big channels.
There must be 400-500 different watch brands out there, many of them make watches with rotating bezels. Where do you get your information from that indicates that Rolex is number 1 for bezel action?? I will bet my bank accounts that whoever you got that from has not tried every current bezel action in the business. Yet another tiresome, sycophantic Rolex trope. Next you will be saying that 904l steel is special and exclusive to that brand too? Nope, pipe steel and I know of at least one other watch brand that uses it (Ball) for a fraction of the price. The more You Tube channels like yours spit out these fallacies the more gullible consumers will carry on believing in the ENC image that company tries to exude. Brainwashing I think they call it. 🤔
Hey Louis, thanks for watching. Just to clarify here… I think Rolex is the best bezel action that I have seen. I’m basing it on my opinion, like all of these reviews. Check out any interview I have done with him on the channels, he regularly says this. I have handled hundreds of watches with bezels on them. As with everything in these reviews its my opinion based on experience. Not a scientific analysis of the mechanics of every watch bezel out there.
