It must be extremely disappointing when you have devoted all your life playing this sport 24/7 and then there comes a Japanese kid who is three times younger than you out of nowhere and shuts your dreams and beats you pretty hard...
And then after 3 years, u don't feel disappointed anymore but rather honored to have played with a kid that beat two Grand Slam Champions and a World No1.
it was tolerable back then. Now whenever I watch Harimoto I have to mute that shit. His screamy shouting now got 6 times louder and twice as long, cant stand that shit
@@kayapolori8779 Especially not, because sportspersons consider skill and ability as top markers, not age. Age is certainly responsible for enhancing those skills but if an opponent has a higher skill then the person won't keep the thoughts focussed on age so much.
I have lost to an 11 year old that I trained myself. I'm no player but I'm a good casual player. I'm actually proud of it coz I think I'm better trainer than I'm a teacher.
You can lose to kids and you can lose to women (if you are a man). This is table tennis, it humbles you, but you love it so much that you keep playing it.
@@petarmiladinovic2814 it's also annoying to me. I hate watching his matches because of it. I can only watch them on mute if I do and that's only when he plays someone else that I want to see play.
Get wrecked! By a toddler! Also everytime Jens does a forehand loop off the table in motion he looks like he’s trying to surprise someone for their birthday.
Funny how the old guy with longer legs and more reach misses so many points by bad positioning and great placement of Harimoto yet he never managed to use Harimotos size to his advantage. Not a single time.
Please don't make a big issue of the age in this sport. This is not clean and jerk weight lifting or Body building where age plays a big part. This is essentially a skills sport with some stress on fitness. Harimoto was good enough to beat that guy on that day, end of the story.
I saw the match live in Örebro. It was strange seeing a child winning over an experienced player. You could tell that Jens thought it was humiliating and I think he was feeling the pressure of a "should win match".
Anyone know why Lundqvist was awarded the 10-10 point in the second game? Looks like out from Lundqvist to me but the umpire points to Harimoto and awards Lundqvist the point. At 2.55.
Edge ball after bouncing off the net, hidden by Harimoto's body. Umpires usually point the finger at the table in those cases and so do the players in case the umpires fail to spot it. It's international TT sign language. 😁
I don't know man. I found it cute. This normal choing was very different from the screaming that he does now a days. What happened in this match was really cute and delightful to hear. But now he just screams like a dying animal. If he just fixes that, in no time the whole world will start supporting him because skill wise, he is one of the most talented people on Earth. Just has a little bit attitude problem.
Yeah, it's probably hard to accept even if you are a casual player. So for a professional player to lose versus an 11 year old must be really tough. Like, REALLY tough.
Oh-Mon-Dieu. Ce gosse n’a vraiment pas eu d’éducation. Même à 11 ans il criait déjà comme un idiot. Heureusement que ça voix mignonne atténuait un peu mais ça reste ridicule quand même. 🤬🤯🤦🏻♂️
Funny, a Chinese woman declared to me once that Japanese are not Japanese, but Chinese. That's as rediculous as a black afro American not born in Africa calling himself/herself African American.

Harimoto before the game:"I am gonna end this man's whole career"

He pretty much did. Jens has never returned to the scene after this match.

Fantastic until he was the better One, thats Gentlemen Sports Fairplay Rules.
How do you sleep every night knowing there are so many people much younger than you whom you cannot compete against?
Especially if you are a professional player.

Harimoto was already doing these quick off the bounce style hits before the plastic ball "changed the game" according to EmRatThich
This was played with the plastic ball?
@@DarknessMatters no but he was already doing that
It changed the game for penholders. Not really for traditional shakehand grip players
You are absolutely right, Tony
yeah not the best idea to listen to some nobody small-time "coach".
Jens Lundqvist kept going to the reverse pendulum serve but wasn't quite effective with it in this game. Harimoto is nothing but aggressive, luv it.
