As someone who does that kind of 'content' sort of? I kind of have to say, overtime, from starting, I've realised more and more people 'expose' people for 0 reason. I saw someone exposing their friend for saying a 'slur' on discord. I think with time people are trying to chase views more and more and forgetting that sometimes its topics that aren't important/valid to bring to light. I'm glad you spoke about this though, good video cheetah.

@@sospiky None of this is true. I've always said my dislike for toxic traits that do follow my community (such as doxxing) and will always do my best to do so. I will admit in the past ive been more involved with random dramas, but with time i've progressively learned not to so, and avoid it.

personally, I resonate a lot with what he says. It's easy to criticize, especially for engagement, but in terms of net impact to the world and actually being respected/not creating a toxic community, it's of little worth. Encouraging civil discussion and unveiling the full story and allowing the audience to make the judgement call is what is actually productive, rather than creating an emotionally charged and heavily biased video that disparages someone.
Also, who is *one* guy to decide that someone is a "genuinely bad person," especially when there's missing pieces of evidence or reasonable doubt, like we saw with dream's grooming allegations for example. Of course this isn't the same point Cheetah brings up, but it does loosely relate and is another reason to be against that sort of content.

Excessive amounts of this type of content is bad, but there are benefits to watching one from time to time, such as learning from other peoples mistakes. The line should be how much time you spent on it. Like short form content, it's not bad because it gives you dopamine, it's bad because it drains too much of your time.(and ruins your attention span etc)
They all go like: “today I’m going to talk negatively about something really quite minor for vast sums of money who swallow up lies like they do with my opinions I feel are superior to the rest of you”

Basically u gotta know from their content wether what theyre saying is view-bait or they actually have a point and 2nd of all wether the topics theyre discussing are of any value/matter at all/are worth discussing or not.
I feel like a channel that has made a call-out video and a channel that makes call-out videos are very different. If most of someone's videos are this sort of thing, it's honestly best to ignore them since they always have something to gain from adding fuel to the fire. They get more views, so this means that they do less research and tend to have much more exaggerated opinions. This only leads to more hate and ends up making the situation worse or turning something that wasn't anything from the start into something.
But someone who tends to make content that isn't focused on calling people out and hasn't grown their brand around it is much more trustworthy. They are more likely to put effort into doing the research because they actually care about the original situation. Not only do they not have anything to gain from it, but they may even have something to lose since it's different from what they normally make and doesn't have a community cultivated around drama that is much more likely to accept when they get something wrong.
