    Can we start applying to the PR before the 2 years end?
    And
    I was on a 400 visa forv6 months then applies for 482. I was wondering if the 6months with the same emoyer also coy t on the2 years with the same emoyer?
    If it makes sense

      Hi Sandra, thanks for contacting us! Please note, legislation is still yet to be updated in regards to these changes so nothing is confirmed as of yet. Also, we are only expecting the reduction to 2 years to be implemented at the start of 2024.
      With that being said, from what we know:
      1) You will need to have worked for 2 years prior to applying for PR.
      2) The time period on the 400 visa does not count towards the 2 years.

    Hi very helpful information... what happens if the person has already been in the company for 2 years but only one of those 2 years has been under the sponsor? Does the person have to complete the two years under the sponsor's 482 visa, or can they count the time before the sponsorship began ?

    • @techvisa_
      @techvisa_  Рік тому

      Hi Harrisson, thanks for getting in touch! You can only count the time while you were working for the sponsor that will nominate you for Permanent Residency. So it will need to be two years working for the same sponsor while holding a 482.

    Can the labour agreement stream lead to TRT stream when I apply for PR? Thanks!

  • @iskanderhaddad8812
    @iskanderhaddad8812 Рік тому +2

    Thank you for the video really informative. TSS short term is 2 years and we need 2 years of experience with employer to apply for PR. Would that mean we need to renew TSS once again? Or apply exactly when it’s finished? I am quite confused. Also, if all TSS can apply for PR why we still have short term 2 years and medium term 4 years? They should all be the same now. Thank you in advance for answering

    • @techvisa_
      @techvisa_  Рік тому +1

      Hi Iskander, you will need to renew your 482 visa for an additional year to get you over that 2 year mark. Once you have done so you will be able to apply for PR through the TRT stream. Please note, these changes will only come into affect from 1 January 2023. Please stay tuned and we will update you closer to the time with any additional details.

    If I am relocating to Australia with 482 medium term granted say Jan2024 and start working Feb2024, I should be able to submit PR application Feb2026 right?
    And I am able to apply citizenship if PR granted for 1yr+, and staying Aus 4yrs+ is it correct?
    For example I start working Feb2024, submit PR application Feb2026, PR grant Dec2026, I can only submit citizenship application Feb2028 or after right?
