Been following Thomas' work for years now. He's my favorite internet nerd. And great episode Jay!! The quality of the show is too good. You'll get to get to 10k in no time. Can't wait to comment ''You all follow Jay's work when he's UA-cam famous. But I was his 300th-something subscriber."
From a creator's perspective this has been probably the most valuable podcast episode I've watched/listened ever. I really love what you're doing here, Jay!
It's so super cool to hear Thomas' evolution as a creator. It definitely always pays to think a little bigger and also take a step back at times. I admire Thomas' mindset and work ethic a lot. Fantastic interview!
first time i saw you on my youtube home page and you were at 35k followers. a month or so later, now at 41.4k!!! congrats bro your videos are super informative for creators like myself trying to grow
Love your new channel. The guests have concrete advice on how to grow a channel. Even better, they talk about building community. Thank you! I had to sub after watching this. Actually, at the ½ way point.
These interviews are great. Thank you. I am really benefitting. I appreciate you. 👍 This is such a great view of Tom's personality. It makes me want to go and buy his paid Notion templates.
Amazing chat Jay! One of the points you touched regarding discoverability, I think UA-cam is really valuable for that. Saw this popped up on my home feed and wouldn't have found it otherwise. Got me to browse through your back catalogues and will definitely be listening to many of those, so many creators that I personally admired whom you've talked with. Also look up Colin&Samir or Diary Of CEO, I think they did a great job doing hour long podcast in video format. And definitely keep this up! Great production and so much value to unpack.
Another amazing episode, great work again! I am in a quandary as I listen to your podcasts before bed, but now I have the video option I keep switching back and forth from pod to vod 😆.
Thomas mentions that all the successful UA-cam podcasts that came to mind for him are guest based and use that dynamic to grow. I also think of the lesser used strategy of solo presenter deep dives into personal development topics. I think of Andrew Huberman. There seem to be far fewer huge podcasts that go this direction, but I think it’s a very engaging format (assuming I enjoy the presenter and the topic). These guys will use strong titles + video chapters to make the videos more engaging.
I found this an incredibly interesting episode. Your guest was so engaging and I learnt.... tons. I'm now off to recommend this to my own community. Thank you.
truly love the videos my man! thank you for all the free knowledge!!! However i am not a fan of the blurry transition thing you got going on when you move to your "commercial break." Its not a deal breaker by any means but it does mess with my eyes every time and im like whats goin on lol either way i will continue to watch and keep up the awesome work 👍
this was amazing - listened to the whole thing and really enjoyed on the point of podcast discovery jay, i have a startup trying to solve this - we raised 330k from angels, and we have an entirely different approach than any other podcasting app, primarily because, well...we say screw you to the rss feed and built it from the ground up have seen some really awesome growth, would love to grab 15min with you and get your thoughts on the idea as a creator...if it works, i genuinely think it will solve the audio discovery issue and be what youtube is for video, but for audio
Hi Jay. I love Tom Frank. Today I was scrolling in your channel checking the people who you had interviewed. And omg, I almost missed Tom! From my point of view he is not standing out in your thumb. Could you try to change it? I know it is an older video but this deserves more views and hopefully that can change with a better thumb. Suggestion, just cut him from this interview, he will standout as we know him because that is how we usually see him!
Great show! Thanks for sharing! You got a new subscriber! 😊Would love to get your suggestions on how to find an editor to outsource editing for my YT videos? Will appreciate your help!
As inspiring as your content is, I'm sorry I'm dropping out kind of (pausing for now) I've been planning to shoot a video all day and ended up spending the last 4 hours watching your interviews.

Sooooo many gems in this conversation. Thank you!
Imagine thinking that there's "just one guy" that runs the youtube algorithm..

Love to hear you got the episode recommended and gave it a watch! Glad you enjoyed if, Reynard!
An overexposed thumbnail is crazy. Seems that it’s reflected in the views. It makes Thomas looks like a random Joe.
Your video was recommended and i just LOVED it 💜
1h is so short, because everything was so interesting !
Keep going and thank you for your work 🙏
LOVE to hear this feedback!
If Jay Clouse is involved, it’s going to be five things:
1. Practical.
2. Interesting
3. Deep
4. Real
5. Worth every second of your time.
Thank you!! That’s very kind of you!
Another amazing episode, great work again! I am in a quandary as I listen to your podcasts before bed, but now I have the video option I keep switching back and forth from pod to vod 😆.

We had him in audio! creativeelements.fm/tim-urban
Great show! Thanks for sharing! You got a new subscriber! 😊Would love to get your suggestions on how to find an editor to outsource editing for my YT videos? Will appreciate your help!
17:14 I wonder if Thomas is using one of the many AI tools that do exactly this now, and more.

What's the intro music, does anybody know that by any chance? 🤔
Wow, an hour is so short💀
Time flies when you’re having fun!
how is not named creator science yet ?
Rebranding a podcast is a lot more challenging, since I can’t go back and edit the audio really. No plans to rebrand the show at this time!
