Very nice Jim 👌 👍🏻 well done
Good afternoon to my favorite Dirt Bag Couple. I love the survival knife. I am a jack of all trades, so I love knowing as much about as much as I can.
Thanks for supporting local producers
KNIFE ARTST EXTRAORDINAIRE!!! COME LOOKING GOOD❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
So many changes! We sawed off some 2x4s. You guys are hard workers ... and great at click-bait video titles! More power to you, makin' it happen in the AZ desert.
I have to say his knife work is stunning
May GOD ALMIGHTY wrap you up in His healing arms; and bring you to a quick recovery.
WOW Jim that's amazing, you actually cut down the timber scaffolding and transformed the dome. I can wait to see what exciting stuff is yet to come. Oh yes it rained again I wonder how much rain fell into that tube. Changing the name of your YT Channel now that was clever move. That is about the most exciting thing you have done here in about two years.
Those are Really Beautiful Knives !
Excellent Craftsmanship !
Yes lol! She keeps repairing the cob. But I know there are so many emergencies that keep coming up off grid. So you'll get it done sometime. Once you get it done and if you paint it white it will cool it down another 20 degrees. I always paint my trailers white even if they are white because the factory paint is somehow opaque alittle or thin or something and it shines through it and heats the underneath and I put my hand on my white trailers and they were hot! Til I painted them again. Also shade shade shade. Unbelievable difference.❤ I luv the house you made!
Those knives are beautiful
Wishing you Jim the best of luck on your surgery and a speedy recovery.Cutting down the boards actually made a great difference on the dome, looking awesome!
You should be putting something over the cob so Jess doesn’t have to keep repeating every time it rains your not getting any younger and it’s not going to be easy for her to repair when y’all get older but it’s your business I been watching for years and it’s hard to keep watching her busting her ars just to have to do it again
They are working on sealing the cob from the top down. It is only 2.5 of them doing this. They know what they are doing as far as the cob goes. It is going to take them time to white wash as I call it the whole house. as well as all the other things they need to take care of. In the long run having to re apply a little cob here and there is easier than trying to rush the job and have something go wrong.
Look at the crown of the dome and you will see they have started top down with the permanent covering
Been at the same level for years
@@catswambo9706...I don't believe the Two Of Them have been at the same level for Years.... *They've been Life-ing!* I believe we, as viewers (you know, the ones watching and Not participating in the Hard Work), should be as Patient as they Are. Just the Two Of Them with Occasional help😏. In due season...it is Finished. Awesome❤️💜❤️
I was thinking the ancestors put stucco on their homes for a reason. Maybe look up the old formula for stucco.
Good morning or good afternoon you guys hope you guys have a great day keep up the good work we love you guys keep up the good work
I really enjoyed your music choice around the 14 minute mark. House is looking great!
16:06 It looks great, kind of like the lower half of a Dutch windmill... very pleasing to the eye... well done...

Jim: As a retired electrician, I'm not so sure your electrical wiring inside the dome would ever pass any kind of electrical inspection from a "safety" aspect. Even if no inspections are required in your area, the NEC (National Electrical Code) requires romex to be "supported" (fastened to the structure via staples or other approved fasteners) every 4.5 feet. Your romex cables inside the dome simply hang like extension cords. At outlet boxes, the NEC specifies the cable be supported a specific distance from the outlet boxes. Also, a "minimum" length of cable/conductor must be available at each outet box penetration (I believe it is six inches). There are limits to the number of conductors that are allowed in each different type/size outlet box as well. You would do well to get some "expert" advise from someone in your area that is familiar with romex wiring in earthbag dome type structures in your area. The "uncovered" and "un-attached" (exposed) romex cable in your dome is un-safe since it is so vulnerable to damage, being exposed as it is, since damage to the cable "sheath" almost always exposes the conductors.
If you "insist" on leaving your wiring installed in a "non-legal" (non-code conforming) condition and you should be so unfortunate as to have a electrical incident that results in injury or damage, I would expect any insurance company to deny coverage due to that non-code compliance. That is "normally" how this works.
Prayers for recovery!
the dome looks so nice, soon it will be all done
Wishing you great fast healing! You're both doing an amazing job. 💚💚
The dome looks really nice without the bits on it, things are definitely progressing wish Jim good health and success with his surgery, thanks for the video.
Thanks for your vid 😇💟💟💟 Love and bless you guys. Wow good work guys 👍😁.
Love it keep it up as always 💘
Best wishes and GOD BLESS 🙏🙏🙏
Looking good glad this weather is cooling down lot easier to get work done.
Great job both of you, i love watching your videos and progress. Good luck for your surgery i hope it goes well and you have a speedy recovery X
On the build above the cellar, you could use similar boards for stairs around the outside as well as stairs to a loft inside.
The ones on the outside could go to a deck for watching the sunset!!!
hope you will be fine, and it ALL works out OK thank you stay safe
Prayers for a speedy recovery from your surgery Jim.
Best of luck with your surgery.
Those two inside boards might have been good for a display shelf, maybe cut them about 12" and screw a horizontal board across
Hey Jim and Jess and the Dogs, a great video my friends. Knife making is an interesting thing to do. We used to use car springs to make knives when I was young. There was an endless supply and they are already pretty flat so less pounding. I think removing the 2x4's dressed up the outside of the structure. I think when Jess is finished with the white coat it will stand out in the desert of Southern Arizona.
Never was the 1st to watch a video on UA-cam! Love the channel guys.
Hello i like the dome look
I live in kingman Arizona for a couple years now retired in the Philippines like your videos
New subscriber
Loved seeing the quality of the knives.
Hope youve done good on that surgery. Ok…. Im convinced its a tadpolectomy, jim. I do like the dome better now and it looks like much has gotten done on the inner walls. Just love you two….
❤TY for the VIDEO 😊 PEACE
Wishing Jim a speedy recovery 😊
Hang in there good luck hey u got this
Dome is looking good, hope that you can start the upper part of the root cellar dome soon.
Best wishes on the upcoming surgery take it easy and follow the doc's instructions. Jess may you be blessed with safety, strenth, energy and good health as you take care of everything while Jim's down and recovering. Blessing on you both❣️🥰
It looks more finished!
The owl box really does look like it’s part of the dome. Good job on that Jess. Hope Crew is doing better with the laser treatment. Good luck on your surgery, Jim. Wishing you a quick recovery. Your dome is looking terrific.
Get well soon.
Thanks for sharing 👍😀
5:55 watching this made me want to start a community skills building club:
Find peoples’ passion and do mini traveling workshops around the SEAZ counties! I’m in Pima near benson if anyone wants to join! That would be fun. I’ll start with mosaic crochet if anyone wants to learn 😜
I remember the build! We were there with you along the way! I probably would have left a foot... same vibes.... but yes wow!! Laying "Newpipes" as they say.... smiling!! Healing.. Jess Knows: Arnica and oils are your friends in a couple weeks, heal fast!
WOW on the knife guy's work! Fabulous )
Good morning from Singapore. Love your channel
Thanks so much!
Good luck and good health. Just found your channel again as I liked to watch your green dream show have been missing you both
We're glad you found us again.😁
Good luck Jim I hope everything goes well!❤😊
Enjoying your new channel
Thank you!!
The dome is looking fantastic! Some part of me would put plant hangers on the board ends and hang solar lanterns on them but I can’t wait to see what you guys do!
I believe they cobbed over the other board ends they cut off, so it seems more seamless.
Nice to hear Jess more, I challenge jess to do a whole show with just her talking.
If you've seen our gravity fed irrigation video, she does most of the talking in that one.😁
guys you should definitely try chaga with crew, it has changed my dogs life
Love the video. I suggest lowering the music down so we can hear the conversation better. Awesome knives.
Jim, wishing you luck and speedy recovery. Kipping you all in my prayers
It would be nice if they would spend as much time as they have spent on the owl house; on their actual home. At this rate it will be ten years before the first dome is completed in and out.
nice work 👍
Jim did you try cold laser first? Knife is a winner for first one. And Jess well she's a winner too. Dome is looking good, prayers for a speedy recovery.
The dome reminds me of a cute handmade ceramic pot!
Blessings for your surgery, Jim.
Everything’s looking great!! So proud of you two! 💚 👏👏
Don't forget to put up the vacant sign by the owl box.
All the best for your surgery Jim. Love the owl box Jess. Take care.😊
