Great flying as always sir,you are the man, this heli does look bad ass,I’m going to have to get one now, just got the GOOSKY s2 to go along with my s1,the s2 is a solid heli build quality is amazing, thank you for everything you do for this hobby sir,and have a great day
Thank you! I greatly appreciate it. I’m happy to make these videos and promote and share the hobby. It is definitely my passion! The S2 is a fantastic Heli. Really the best micro on the market. You will love the Tron Orion if you get one.
Thumbs-up! I want one, but have decided to pass for now. I'm just now weaned off gyro for my S1 S2 and RS Venom (Roto flight/Nexus is doing AWESOME on the RS4 BTW). I did my first inverted on the S1 yesterday! All this to say...the Gemini as a 4th bird to my fleet, just too risky when I compare it to the crash cost and maintenance of the Nimbus 550 V2. You stack up the parts of Tron vs XL power side by side and it's a non-contest who comes out the more reasonable risk to the newb fliers wallet. I still aim to get a Gemini (it looks so damn good if nothing else)....but only after I have spent considerable more time in the air with the Nimbus and Venom. Jeff, I believe our paths on Avionics have diverged, I'm still a fan of this channel and thank you for all the confidence you've given me. I think your sub count has nearly doubled since I found you 6 months ago! It's so rare to encounter heli-fliers at any of my local clubs and I'm the only non-spektrum/I-Kon of any of them. I took the path of pain I guess lol. Please do give a Nexus build one of these days! I believe you will hate the early moments like everyone else...but the absolute intricate fine tuning and consistency is just fantastic!
Thank you! I appreciate it. I completely get the cost difference on the to the Nimbus is definitely cheaper to fix in a crash. Personally speaking, I don’t go after crash when I look at a model I go after flight performance. Because there is a bunch of different models on the market that are super cheap to fix and a crash, but in my opinion, don’t fly the best compared to others that could be more money to fix in a crash. For example, SAB, they are hands-down the most expensive compared to everybody else but in my opinion, they are the best flying machine with Tron right behind them. XL flies really really good! But like the larger goose guy RS7 for example maintenance after a crash or fixing it can be a pain. There’s a lot more steps to do. I’m curious, how the new XL 550 flies! I greatly appreciate all the support! You have been here a good while. I am currently working on the Nexus FBL with the M4. It’s been a LONGGGGGG learning curve but I’m excited to try and finally fly it. I did get a chance to fly one and they do fly very well!
Jeff nice sounding and flying helicopter 🚁. The video with the capacitor emergency back up power was great information. I hope 🤞🏻 it’s ok to mention that I did not get the new iXSR 6 channel transmitter, the DX-5 rugged is great for the price and does all I need but navigation 🧭 through the menu is a pain, but what my rc game needed was to upgrade my 4 1/2 year old Mavic Mini drone, 2s power is not enough for windy mountainous canyons, so I’ve already unboxed the Mavic 3 Pro fly more combo with the extra wide angle lens, epic cameras and 4s power with the possibility of fpv goggles. 👍🏻
Thank you! The capacitor video is great for anyone who flies helicopters and Mikado. That is a great insurance policy! I have a DX5 regular for my boats, really thought about getting a IXSR but in all honesty, I don’t really see the point on surface vehicles. I get for some of the more complex things having all that program ability is nice. But it’s not like a helicopter or airplane, where all of your set up is done in the transmitter. Or I should say the complexity of set up. The new Mavic 3 looks awesome! Enjoy it!
in watching most all your vids..during spoolup..ive never seen ur tail so much as budge let alone swing..or kick out any...do you have it setup in your banks..where you start off in rate mode..and then when you grab idle 2 and 3...it automatically goes into head hold? ..most the time when im spooling up in head hold...unless i make it a point to look down on the blades and make sure ther centerd ..or at the 3° i set them at to help counteract..the tail will slide one way or the other a little bit ..and i have to make a slight rudder adjustment to settle it down in one spot..
I don’t ever use rate mode. All my models are set up all and heading hold exactly the same. Tail kick out is normally from either fast food or a slippery surface like concrete for example. If your tail is set up with about 4° of positive rudder it will help tremendously with the torque upon school up. It also depends on the governor you are using! Hobby wing came out with an update, not too long ago to help eliminate that little kick on spool up.
Thank you! I greatly appreciate that. There is no secret, just a lot of practice either in simulator or real flying. Everyone progresses at a different rate, some much faster than others.
@@westhobbiesrc8051 Thanks can you recommend a realistic simulator? Which do you use ? and how long do you spend on the simulator. ? Sorry for all the questions. Happy flying.
@@fox5136 AccuRC 2 on Steam is pretty widely accepted as most realistic. RealFlight is just a horizon hobby digital catalog. Bleh. I also like Next and there is a demo for Heli-X which is also a high contender. Next has better models and features IMO than AccuRC, tbh honestly I cant tell which of them has the most 'realistic' physics. They are all considerably easier to fly than the real thing. Or at least I dont notice crashing left and right.
Hello! I started the set up and got most of the way through it, but just a lot of little steps and got aggravated. So I put it aside for now until I can learn more before making a video on it. But I will get back to it very soon!
Excellent video and flying as per usual mate. Have you flown the new Balde Fusion 700 yet? Ive just finished the build and maiden on mine and she's a real sweet heli.
It sits lol I never rebuilt after the crash. I’ve got all the parts, but after finding out OXY is no longer going to be around I have not wanted to fly/crash it because I can’t fix it.
Hey guys, i want to get a middle class heli and i originaly wanted to get the balde Fusion 360 but i recently heard some really bad things absolut the servos. Has anybody experience with this heli or else wich one would you recommend?
Thanks for the info. The way I fly, I should get 140 flights before mine wear out! 😂
You’re welcome! I hope they last you that long! If your just sport flying you won’t even notice when they wear.
That is one bad ass M7 bro, it does seem a lot more locked in from this angle. Thank JW for sharing🤪
M7 is under way! I hope it flys this good! lol
Thanks for all the great vids!
Thank you for watching!
Beautiful heli!! 👍🏻

Time and practice, that and simulator if you don't want to deal with repairing crashes to start

Do u need to re set level on the ikon after a crash and repair.
