- How to remove an oven door on a BEKO Oven and removing the oven door glass. BEKO oven door removal. A complete step by step guide on how to remove a BEKO ODF 22300 X Oven Door. I also take you through the steps involved to remove the glass in the oven door, so you can clean in between the glass.
This is complete tutorial from start to finish to enable you to remove the oven door (maybe for cleaning purposes or similar). This is specific to the ODF 22300 X Oven, but it will also apply to other ovens in the BEKO range.

You make it so much easier than the book
Thanks. The book is not very clear!
Omg youre a life saver! All those months of struggling to clean my oven cos of that poxy door always in the way, very nearly went out just to buy a new oven with a side opening door!
It does help access no end with the door off! Thanks for leaving a comment! 👍🏼
Thank you . A very clear statement. "make sure the shiny side faces the oven" Far easier to understand than the Beko manual.... "make sure that the printed side of the panel faces the inner"
Thanks, glad you found my instructions clear! 😀
Dats y i prefer youtube over manuals
Thank you so much for the clear video and instructions. I have never done this type of thing before, tried it and it has worked perfectly and saved us loads of money. Thanks again.
Perfect! Pleased I could help out! 👍🏼
Life saver. Managed to replace my door today. Thank you for this video 😊
Great to hear it helped you out!
I've not got the exact same oven, but these hinges were exactly the same. I had a feeling it was something to do with those latches but couldn't work it and didn't want to break anything. Thank you so much! Top simple instructions 👌🏻
Pleased to hear it helped you out! 👍🏼
Dang! I can finally clean in between the two glass plates! And get the nooks and crannies behind the door hinge! I've had my Beko for 5 years now and I never worked out how to do this on my own 😅
Thank you so much for sharing! ❤
No problem whatsoever! It's always nice cleaning all the nooks and crannies so it looks brand new again!
I don't know how to thank you, I'm so grateful for sharing this. Wish I could subscribe more than once. Thanks bro ❤️
Thank you! Im glad it helped you out. There is a "thanks" button which is like a virtual tip jar! But the comment and sub is very much appreciated! 👍🏼
Thank you. I read the User Manual and still didn't know how to do it. 5 minutes of watching your instructions and I have finally managed it. THANKS!!!
Great stuff! Pleased to read that! 👍🏼
I cleaned glass and replaced oven door saved me a lot of money thanks to this video
That's great to hear! Pleased it helped out!
Thank you for your straight forward and clear video, my oven stupidly doesn't have the clip at the top so you can't remove the sheet of glass. Your close up shots of the clips at the side were so helpful, the manual had one picture for the removal of the door and it was a vague drawing - thanks for taking the time to make this! :^)
No problem. Its quite a simple job but not at all clear from first glance....which is why I made the video. Glad it helped you out.
Mine has the clip section secured with screws. I just unscrewed the two screws and then it was exactly as shown in the video.
It seems they made some slightly different ones. Glad the video helped though!
I'm just about to change my BEKO oven element. This has helped loads. Removing the oven door. I looked long and hard and failed to see the push lever, my brain thinking to look for a screw or something. Cheers. You have saved me a pound or two. Wish me luck as I'm a cross-thread Freddy.
Good luck Freddy!! 😂
Half Tidy that Boyo, you just saved me a weeks Pension.
😂 Pleased to hear it!! 👍🏼
Just replaced my broken oven door, could not have done it without this tutorial. Many thanks!
Glad it helped you out! 👍🏼 Thanks for leaving a comment.
Nice work.
Helped heaps on my oven clean.
Short, clear and concise.
I owe you a beer!!!
Glad it helped you out! 👍🏼 I'll take you up on that beer one day! 😀
Many thanks for that. Had already worked out how to do it, just needed to double-check shiny side or matt side of the glass facing inwards. Excellent tutorial. Far superior to the users manual.
Thanks for leaving a comment! Appreciate your kind words, and glad it helped you out. 👍🏼
Whilst it didn't help me with my oven, exceptional well presented, explained and filmed.
Thank you!! 👍🏼
Tnx a lot, you just saved my Sunday morning:). I took apart the glass door, but had some trouble reassembling it. With your video I replaced the glass correctly and saved myself a lot of frustration:)👍
Glad the video helped you out! 👍🏼
What a fantastic bit of information. Cleaning the oven just became a doddle, cheers.
Cheers, glad it helped!
Yeay All done with a welsh accent too. Shiney new looking clean oven now. Thanks. Very very clear.
Glad you liked it, the accent too! 👍🏼👍🏼
Just replaced my element on my cooker. Thank you for your tutorial. : )
No problem! Glad it helped you out! 👍🏼
Thanks, easy to follow guide. I now have a working cooker again
Brilliant! Glad it helped you out.
Thank you so much! I have been looking for months and it was right infront of me the whole time! Great video
Glad it helped you out!! 👍🏼
Just cleaned my oven and taking the door off helped so much, thank you!
No problem. Thanks for leaving a comment!
Thanks for these very clear instructions, the diagram in the Beko manual is totally useless. Now, I just need to know how to replace the hinges!
No problem, hope it helped! 👍🏼
excellent video that explains things in detail
Thanks very much! Hope it helped you out!
It was so helpful...thank you so much!
No problem, glad it helped you out! 👍🏼
Thankyou took me ages !h ain’t slotted bottom glass in correctly great Video
Thank you! Hope it was a great help!
Thank you a lot for all these precious explanations 💞
No problem! Hope it helped!
very helpful Charlie. I viewed your 'heating element' video which is what directed me here. Otherwise, I would have just left the doors on and likely damaged them, dropped the unit sweated profusely and filled the swear jar! Thanks.
Glad I saved you some eye on the swear jar!! 😂👍🏼
Cheers for that, replaced bottom oven door swing type. Had take top oven grill drop down type out could only get to the tabs by removing inside glass too. Had do get to bracket for bottom over. What performance.
Sounds like a bit of a palava! Hope the video helped! 👍🏼
Thank you so much for the tutorial. I am not handy at all .. I still need ur help how to put the glass inside the oven … that plastic cover doesn’t make the sound click to secure the glass 😢
Ur video it’s extremely helpful, thank you so much 🙏🙏🙏
The glass should slot in to the clips at the bottom and then sit pretty flat. The plastic clip may need a bit more pushing to make the click...or may need lining up properly.
Thank you so much u did it easy and clean. Good job.
Cheers! I don't know how many times i have had to do that since!
Cheers helped me put a new glass screen in oven
That's great to hear! Glad it helped!
Brilliant, thank you you do make it really easy-I will let you know how I get on🙂
Follow the video and you should be OK. 👍🏼
Great vid thanks accidentally pulled my oven door clean off and was in a panic!!! 😂
Wow, that was good going! 😂 Hope you managed to get it back on.
Thanks for this. Moved into a new place and the oven hinges looked nothing like other videos i've seen. Your's looked identical and the process was too. Oven make and model = Lamona LAM3212
Brilliant! Glad it helped! I think there are a few makes that use the same parts.
Thank you. This and element replacement were very handy.
Cheers, glad they were useful! 👍🏼
Bekoncooker model numberBCDG504W .I got glass panels out, cleaned it ,on lower oven door as I put brown strip back on top the small screw fell down the small chanell that runs down both sides, I triwd to get it out but can't ,I then tried to get the narrow channel off but by mistake I unscrewed the door lock catch it also has fallen down into the same space so now the door won't stay shut so I can't use the oven part at all I'm a damsel in distress please can you help
@@susanboothroyd3069 I'm not sure I'm going to be able to help with that! You'll need to retrieve the parts and do the reverse of everything you've done so far! Sorry!
Very helpful. Thankyou for your time.
No problem! 👍🏼
Perfect! Thanks. Jim
Thanks for leaving a comment! 👍🏼
So helpful! Thank you!
Glad it helped you out! 👍🏼
This is great, I have a door that doesn't quite close properly. Is it possible to adjust the hinges or do they need replacing? Do you have a video of how to adjust hinges please? Many thanks
I don't think they adjust in any way. Maybe they need tightening or replacing?
This is so helpful and a game changer for cleaning the door but I don’t suppose you have any further magic tricks as when I slid the door off the hinges, one of them sprung back up along with the clip and is now stuck 😅
Thanks very much! You may be able lever that back with a screwdriver maybe.
Thanks l have a clean shiny oven, couldn't remember how to put glass on ,easy wheyou know how.
Great video, thanks very much.
Great Video. How do you reset the hinge . One of them popped up and is vertical. Thanks
You should be able to pull it back down. Watch your fingers....they can be a bit snappy!
Thank you. You’ve been very helpful.
Thank you, pleased to hear it!
Thank you very much!
No problem...hope it helped!
Thanks oven is now cleared after yrs:-)
Pleased to hear it! 👍🏼
Thanks for the great video! Was able to take the door off and clean completely. Only thing is when I went to put the door back on the springs had bounced up, mustn’t of taken it off at the proper angle! Is there anyway to get the springs back down for a complete novice?! 😅
They should push back down, just be careful of your fingers! if not slot them in in the position they are in and then lever them down. 👍🏼
@@charlieshooter thanks so much for the reply! I couldn’t get them down with my hands but slid the door back on and it was strong enough to lever back down phew! Saved 😅 Really thought I’d broken it. Appreciate the reply ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Great video. However, my cooker looks to have a screw at either end of the strip at the top off the door. So how to put the inner glass back?
Can you undo these screws? I would think you can and should then be able to remove it.
Shiny side up! Cheers, I needed to know just that!
No problem! 👍🏼
I have the 22300X oven but this does not have any plastic bracket holding the top of the main oven inner door. The manual shows a plastic "spade" that is pushed in under the glass at the top side, after 5 years I have no idea where this spade is.
Any help would be appreciated
I'm not sure how that would work. Sorry I'm not much help!
Mine's the same. All metal and glass can't seem to be removed at all ☹️
My advice is to remove the door glass when the door is flat and detached, is more secure and you can easily clean the door between as well. Great video though. 👍
That's another way of doing it. Thanks for watching.
Great,thank You very much!
No problem. Hope it helped out. Thanks for watching.
Thank you!
No problem! 👍🏼
Thanks mate, took it off and slid the window out but couldn’t work out what was front or front lol. It said from in writing but then I couldn’t work out if it was the front back or back front lol 😅
Oh dear, what a pickle. The glossy side of the glass (where it is black) faces into the oven. The matt side faces out.
Cheers for the reply, yes I worked it out thanks to your video. Cheers mate, now looking bran new lol, was sick of the house mates cooking and making the whole house smell, now my fingers need to heal after scrubbing the thing 4 times lol
Very clear. Thanks....but does anyone know how to change out the hinges when they are damaged? Every video online shows the hinges are mounted in the door - but these are mounted in the body of the oven. How do you remove and replace the hinge units? I assume you need to unscrew the oven and pull it out about 6" to expose fixing screws??
I really don't know how it's done, sorry, as I've not had to do this job, but I think pulling out the oven a bit and looking for the screws would be a good start.
Great thanks!
No problem!
Thank you, one side of the spring loaded hinge on my oven door has stung back too far. Any help on how to reverse it. I can’t get the door back on 🙄
If it has sprung back in to postion then try and grip it with a pliers or lever it down....or with your hand but put big thick PPE gloves on if you do....you don't want your finger in the way when it springs back again!!
thank you,
No worries!
I have a Beko Double Oven Model ODF 21300. I can remove the glass from the top oven using the implement provided but the bottom oven does not have the black plastic removable strip like you show in the video. It is solid metal all the way round the glass and I have spent a long long time trying to work out how to take the glass out. There are no clips, screws or anything else.
That's strange. Not sure why they're different.
Спасибо, мужик, от домохозяйки! На русском ютубе никто так подробно не описывает весь процесс сборки
Thank you! You're welcome! 👍🏼
It is easy to remove the top oven glass like you have shown us, but it is the bottom swing door we cannot see how to clean the glass on that.
Sounds like that may be a different oven, as this one only has the drop down doors like I've shown.
Svaka ti cast 🙂
Thank you! 👍🏼
Great tutorial 👍👍
Glad it's still helping people out!
Thank you. Really helpful :) x
Thank you for commenting. Glad it helped.
thank you so much!
You're welcome!
Thank you for this!
No problem....hope you didn't have to fix it today of all days!!
Great thanks
No problem, glad you found it useful!
Very helpful
Pleased to hear it! 👍🏼
Amazing thank you
Hope it helped! 👍🏼
Amazing. Thank you
No problem! 👍🏼
Awesome thanks
No problem, hope it helped.
It was very helpful as the manual was hopeless
That's exactly why I did the video. It wasn't clear. 👍🏻
I put back the door but I couldn't lift the left tab back up to lock the door. That left clip seemed loose comparing to the right clip. Any idea how to solve this issue please ??
Was it all the way in? Or maybe the clip needed a bit of wiggling about to get it to lock back in?
Many thanks
No problem!
I have a 5 yr old gas Becko range/oven. Can I follow your same steps for my oven?
I'm sure the oven doors may be similar, even though they are gas ovens. Check it over first though.
Cheers mate quality video , my glass shattered whilst I was waiting for the cooker to get to temp, I got replacement glass but the only problem i have now is that the door won't stay at 90(fully down) it goes to that 45° , it goes down but springs back up any idea ???
Is that since you've fitted the new glass? Because I noticed when I had the glass out, the door wouldn't sit at 90deg on it's own. It's like the hinges are weighted to allow for it. Did you get a genuine glass? If not, maybe it's not heavy enough??
@@charlieshooter just waiting for the glass to arrive, that's with no inner glass inserted so maybe like you said the inner glass weighs it down
@@widowmaker461 Ah right, yes, thatbwill definitely be the issue then. 👍🏼
My Beko double oven cooker is different. There are 3 oval holes at the side on the large oven. I have no idea how to remove the glass for cleaning. Even a professional cooker cleaning company could not help. Any ideas?
I don't know to be honest. I know how this one in the video works, but I don't profess to being an expert with cookers. If the cleaning company didn't know either then maybe it's an unusual design?
Great video. I have this exact model (OIF22300X). But weirdly I don't seem to have the plastic bit you (and the BEKO manual) mention. It's all metal and looks like the glass is stuck on...Any ideas? Thanks, Andy
I've not seen one like that myself, but on most ovens you should be able to remove the glass somehow. Have a look around for some small screws or clips.
Hi Andrew and Georgina, have the same problem I have model OIE22300X and the inner glass is broken but on sides it is stuck on the metal part. I wanted to replace it by myself but the glue part would be most problematic... Also have to clean the glass leftovers before which I don't know how to do fast and easy. I was wondering how did you solve your problem? I thought it could help me. Would appreciate any tips, cheers!
Hi we managed to take door off no problem. We managed to remove glass to clean doo no problem but when we did we also remove the black plastic sides that the top clicks into with out realizing u didn’t have to. Now we are stuck as can not get them back in??? We need help. I’ll send pictures if I can
They should just go back on as they came off i would think? I'm not sure, i haven't taken them off myself. Were they clipped on or screwed?
Hi
I have a beko oven door how do I adjust it as it is not closing tightly to the oven letting the heat put?
Regards Glenda
I'm not sure you can adjust it to be honest. Maybe it needs a new seal?
wish i watched this before i did my neighbour's element, would have made the oven a lot lighter to put back into the tower unit. Diolch
I'm having a problem where the clear middle glass in the oven door will slide out of the bottom of the door, I have checked to see that it is sitting right and it is clipped into place from the top I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Do you have any advice, please?
The bottom part of the middle glass should slide under the metal bar/bracket on the bottom of the door, and then slot in at the top. I think it's shaped possibly to fit one way.
Thanks a looooot
No problem! 👍🏼👍🏼
Hi Charlie,I've found your videos very helpful.Would you know where I can purchase a lid for beko bs530w please? I've been searching everywhere.🙁
Thank you! Have you tried espares.co.uk or bekospares.co.uk? I think a lot of these spares sites are actually all the same company....they are all very similar!!
@@charlieshooterI have thanks.I realise it's an old model that's why I want the top to put down.Couldnt get oven door off.maybe that's why.👍
Charlie, no matter how much I push to remove the glass the clip won't budge, any ideas?
A short sharp push (well, pull towards you) each end should get it off. It might be a bit gunked up perhaps?
I have exact the same oven, the outer glass gets very very hot. Is that normal with this type of oven?
Thanks
Can't say I've ever noticed to be honest. Pretty sure it stays quite cool on the outside.
top ! Sehr gut erklärt. Vielen Dank.
Danke schon!
I needed this I took mine apart to clean and couldn’t put it back to together I was freaking out 😅
Glad you found it useful! 👍🏼
@@charlieshooter would there be any reason why the thing that clips the glass doesn’t go on properly
@@AR-ml9pe The glass may not be sat right maybe?
@@charlieshooter I will have a look thank you
Is that the same for Bosch oven
I've never taken a Bosch oven apart sorry, so I really don't now.
I would like to no.my oven.opens out .haw do i get it out to clean it
To get the whole oven out watch my other video on changing the heating element. It has to come out for that.
great video, just what i needed, 1 question, plastic bit on top, that holds glass in, can you tell me what this is called please, as i need a new one , thank you
Glad You found the video useful! I'm not 100% sure on the proper name but I just googled "Beko oven door trim" and one came up on eBay. Hope that helps!
It's called a plinth
Ah....A Monarch's son...with a speech defect.
😂
My oven opens outwards not down how do I do that one.
I've not done one myself and this video is quite specific to this oven, but the hinges may come away the same way....possibly?
My beko cooker is useless, my top oven doesn't have these hinges, and the bottom oven opens sideways and you have to take it apart to take the door off. So annoying
My door won't close all the way anymore (maybe like 1-2 cm gap), and when I open it all the way up the door sort of just "hangs" if that makes sense...does anyone know how I can fix that, or do I just need to buy new parts?
Has it come unclicked from the hinges at the bottom maybe?
@@charlieshooter hmm no, i tried taking the door off and reattaching it, but it still just hangs.. I dont know if there are springs involved in the mechanism but if there were it would seem the hinges or springs have become slack or stretched out, if that makes sense...
Maybe see if you can buy new hinges?
@@charlieshooter Yeah, might be the only solution..Thank you for answering!
Not all Beko glass is removable FYI
Thanks. This is specific to the oven shown really, but may apply to others of the same era too.
👍👍👍👏👏👏
Ты ходьбы для приличия духовку вымыл , а потом видео снимать...
You can't say "mingin'' it's so 'port!!🤣😂
