I’ve always enjoyed the look of the steel plate armor, to me it always looked best because looked strong enough to not look like you just put on the first thing you found, but not over the top like deadric or dragon.

Well... they *are* the uncontested (unless put against one another) masters of stealth. If you see them, you either weren't the target (DB), or you *were* the target (TG) and they're too far to catch now, and showing you their asses as they run with your loot is just a bonus objective..

Steel Plate and Nordic are my favorite armor sets from this game. Countless hours spent running around in my OG playthrough with steel plate armor, glass greatsword, bow and like 1000+ arrows lol. Orc go brrrr
I love how the Thieves Guild is all about fooling everyone (at least outside of Riften, there they intimidate), yet every other guard knows how the “thieves guild uniform” looks like.
Suprised guards dont have the same reaction to dark brotherhood armor, as if they arent the only people in skyrim running around in the weird black and red gimp suits. All you get is an occasional "psst ik who u are hail sithis", like its some sort of secret that only a handful of random affiliated guards know about

Thieves guild armour could easily just be regular leather armour, but the dark brotherhood black and bright red is very distinct. @@owenhockley9124 what some people see as “annoying” others see as “immersive”, I agree with you 15 factions compared to 4 is way too many, however not all would need different dialogue, just the opposing sides such as Vampires and Dawnguard or Storm-cloaks and Imperials, would add that sense of realism in my opinion. You could be happily walking along past a group of imperial soldiers with a captured war criminal in full storm cloak armour and they wouldn’t even bat an eye, but in game their hatred is made out to be ‘kill on sight’
Steel armor (vatiant with the shoulder plates) is aesthetically my favorite in the game. Fits the environment with the fur to keep you warm and provide cushioning, practical coverage, no excessive sharp points. It's practical and not flashy, making it my favorite from a role-playing perspective. Second favorite ignores all of those points because as a dragon slayer it's cool to wear their bones as your armor against their brethren
It doesn't have very good defense, the sane as regular iron iirc. There's a nord ruin in the eastmost bottom corner of the map (over near riften) that contains ghosts who drop sets of it. It's also the armor that Aela wears. Hope this helps.
I really wish more games did this. Just having npcs comment on your gear and equipment is so cool. As well as he having them mention your characters feats such as having recently killed dragons or whatnot.
