@@alisaglam2465I didn't watch the original video saying this was the rarest move but we have to talk about what we mean by "rare". I think they mean "unlikely to see in a real game played by two players trying to win", in which case that's probably right. I have no clue how they calculated the odds though if they used that definition
the 1 in 342 billion probability is for getting the move randomly, if ur actively trying to get the move, its the probability is not THAT low but still incredibly difficult
The odds stated in this video, calculated in the other video, is just based on how many times the move has occured in a database of games, so it's in mostly normal play yes, so intentionally trying for it will make it significantly rarer, but it's not the odds of it occuring "randomly"
Low rated players don't resign because their opponents are low rated and might mess up. I'm rated around 750 right now (I'm trying) and there are games when I've blundered my queen and still won. Even if I'm down to only my king, I wait it out and make them seal the deal because they can either run out of time or stalemate me.

I don’t think this move is hard at all, his “probabilities” are calculated by (position occured) / (games EVER played) which is not accurate at all. Also, when you’re actively trying to get that position unlike calculating those randomly played games, it’s really easy to promote to 3 bishops in a game if you think about it, like if your opponent doesn’t resign and you have like 4-5 pawns, you’re getting it! In addition, when you’re getting higher in ELO people often don’t resign in blitz games and have more common sense to play chess, which helps you a lot to complete this position. I would say this would take maybe 30 minutes at minimum and a few hours if you’re unlucky. 1 in 50-100 chance? Not 300 billion or whatever his number was. Just wanted to point that out, this isn’t a hate comment, I hope your channel goes well and you continue achieving extraordinary goals and make astonishing videos amidst this dark chess world. Gl!

The thing is, the data is from lichess and lichess has less games and the reason why he used lichess was because it was not hidden so it is possible someone could have gotten the checkmate before you. Even so, good job!
The thing is... Now that there's at least 2 documented cases of this move happening it it no longer the rarest move in chess
time for Hikaru and croissant to work their way up until all rare checkmates are no longer rare but just a way to flex on someone
people being able to do it doesnt really make it any less rare tho (maybe statistically if we talk about a more common one that has less people that did it).
