In the words of Alexandru:
"When I started putting music together for this debut EP, I had a lot of emotional baggage to sort through. From addiction, to different depths of depression to inspirations from other people's lives and past experiences, I tried to encapsulate each feeling throughout those six songs.
This project was never meant to be a ''happy'' one and I never intended it to be that way. As humans, we tend to pull a lot of creativity out of the darker portions of our lives and as we do, we often medicate that way.
I would also like to dedicate this project to Mitel - I hope you finally found peace, wherever you are, from the demons that you carried for so long with you and that never let go. For anyone that battles drug addiction - please stay strong - there is a light shining at the end of the tunnel".

Kennel....I wanted to cry, go outside and punch the dirt and come back inside to cry some more. Slum garden was a beautiful exit to the album as well. I found its honesty soothing. Thank you.

I lost my good friend to it as well. He was my biggest fan and inspiration. He sadly left us before I finished my solo album. I could feel his presence pushing me until I finally finished it. I hope Jake and your friend are listening to frequency together. ❤

Wow. I have not heard something this good in a long long time. This is solid, lyrics are purposeful, deep, darkened, raw. Sound is gritty but clean. Perfect amount of harmony / Screamo. Really really good. You’ve made my ears happy in Australia. 🤟

This is probably the finest example of "nu metal" you will ever realy hear. The reason I say this is, like dry kill logic, you guys have stripped away the commercial bullshit and kept it real. People like scooter ward from cold could learn a lot from you. Very, very well done guys

I also tend to listen to nu metal for the realness and the pure, non commercial emotion artists put into their songs. The commercial aspect was a reason nu metal slowly died off in the mid 2000's imo.

im in tears of how amazing this is, as a person trying to start my own band solo only using garage band and my limited knowledge. Hearing this makes me feel so happy and it pushed me in a stronger direction musically. Ashes like rain is the best thing to come out of 2023 so far and i strive to be on the same level.

Was this a 2022/23 release? If so then WOW i am absolutely blown away, it's so incredibly hard to find raw bands like this now days with that hard early 2000's ALT/NU metal sound.

Paint Your Target is one of my favorite songs from fightstar
Fun stuff! I have mixed feelings about the clean vocals. Sometimes they seemed to try to sound a little too "pretty," in a sense. But I loved when they picked up (and the dirty vocals weren't too bad). "Cighid" was awesome. I really liked the final songs of the album, too. Really dang good.
I loved the instrumentals, too. A bit industrial, which was cool.
The overall sound made me think of Blue Stahli and Celldweller. I hope these guys go somewhere and put out a lot more content. Really cool.

🤣🤣🤣, nah..they should be begging you to allow them to play it. Radio plays on rock stations now don't pay the artists anymore. That is why it's a stagnant rotation of music they payed for back in the day. A college radio station or indie station would be the best bet.
