I’m putting in my first simulator and have a couple questions / concerns: Do you have anything below your hitting mat ? Looks like you also cut out the floor mats below ? So want to make sure I’m at the same elevation as the entire floor / putting area. What is your floor / putting mat ? Just don’t see that in the description. Also, I’m thinking of buying the SkyTrak+ (which you have) but… I’ve got concerns with how it works with GSPro, I see that’s what you are running also. Does that work efficiently and are those working & comparable together ?
What about stance mats? I am not sure if my turf is good for even standing on. I have strips for hitting already that I will put in, but I am not sure about what is best for standing on. Thanks for the great videos.
You just need something more firm and sturdy when it comes to a stance mat really. The Tee Turf that I have comes in a larger size and is fine to be a stance mat as well as a hitting mat. Thanks mate ⛳️
WTF? I have a Country Club Elite mat. I love the thing. I have no problems with my joints and I play almost everyday and am 52 years old. Where does this stuff come from?
The CCE destroyed my elbows. I could not finish the winter hitting indoors and did not completely heal until the end of the outside season. Cut out a chunk of the CCE and dropped in a fiber built player preferred strip. No physical pain since that switch
@ thanks mate, think the surround I’m looking at is 11-13mm and tee turf around 30-32mm I was looking at 20mm gym mats as didn’t want the ball below my feet. Easier to build up the tee turf with it being smaller I guess.
@ Hey mate I’ve recently done just that, 20mm mats and eagle putting turf which is 13/14mm with the tee turf off the role both from inswing golf( 32mm maybe). The mat sat a little low so I’ve use a piece of 5mm underlay to lift and it’s perfectly flush pal 👌
I did the same thing works great I went with a Sigpro hitting strip. Feels like real turf and no more elbow pain.
I haven’t tried those mats but believe they are pretty good 👍🏼⛳️

No issues with mine either. Best mat I’ve ever had.
Man, wish I could do this. My mats have to be mobile so my wife can still park in the garage. I'll come up with something though. Great video! 👍
Thanks mate 🙌🏼 good luck! ⛳️
Great advice! Did you use anything to stick the tiles do the floor or putting mat to the tiles? I am afraid it may move once the pressure is applied.
Personally I haven’t - but I know pro install companies use adhesive spray to stick everything down 👍🏼⛳️
Hi Mitch. What’s your overall room dimensions? Looks huge!
Ps. Loved this video format, definitely saving it out for when I do this next year.
Hi mate, thank you 🙌🏼 my space is 2.9m high, 4.9m wide and 6m long ⛳️
@@hcpgolf awesome. My build will be 4.2m wide, 5.4m long and 3m high.
Is the other grass outside of the hitting zone putting turf?
Thanks for the info
Hope it was helpful 👍🏼⛳️
great vid!
Legend thanks mate 🙌🏼⛳️
Hi,
What thickness gym mat did you go for and what thickness was your mat and surround turf ?
Gym tiles: 10mm thick
Tee Turf: not 100% sure (about 20-30mm I’d guess)
Putting Turf: 14mm thick

@ sounds like you’ll be ok! good luck mate 👍🏼⛳️

Do you stick that strip down or anything?
Personally, no I haven’t. I know others do though 👍🏼⛳️
@ thanks
