A good friend of mine has a son named Blake and from the age of 5, whenever his son did anything he shouldn’t be doing, my buddy would say “Do you wanna go to war Balakay?”
American here in the southeast U.S. and my wife's name is Sioban. Needless to say NO ONE pronounces her name correctly. But this skit is legendary! I have friends named Blake and Aaron and we have never pronounced their names correctly since this aired.
I work at a school, and in the office there is a clipboard where they list deliveries that were delivered to the wrong building in our district and need to be corrected. That clipboard is labelled “you done messed up A-A-Ron!”
This bit and the other sub teach bits are like watching a movie you know by heart or listening to a song you love... you know exactly what is going to happen and it still forces a grin. You two do lovely reacts... and forget the people who complain about the intro bit... the insights and the side stories are great. And LOVE that the opening music is yours (and your bandmates)!!
You are so right! It's like somebody trying to watch the Breakfast Club with me.....they are either going to love the experience or hate it, because I can and will recite EVERY line. I know it's annoying, but it's gotta be done. Sorry, not at all sorry😅
@@traceythompson1092 right there w ja in spirit... i don't know it by heart line for line but i appreciate the Love... i need to watch that about every 5 years because I forget movies until I see them again and yell "Did you see the size of that chicken" when they were all high on Peyote... YT - Peyote/Spirit World .. 2 mo late to reply but welcome to me.
I graduated in ‘93 & we were calling our friend Aaron A-Aron way back then in high school. It’s not new just new to folks who heard it on this show for the first time.
I always thought it was interesting at like 7:52 he says "why didn't you answer me the first time I said Aaron" correctly. In my own head canon, I think he knows about the names and just wants to be a menace himself.
Isn't Zimbabwean names sometimes are something like Charity, Blessing, Purity, etc.? I don't know if she is Zimbabwean but I have a colleague who's name is Suspicious.
Can confirm, When i was in high school in about 2012, I had a class with 2 black guys in it who teased each other all the time. One of them was named Aaron, at the time I didn't know it was a reference to Key and Peele, but he was called A-A-Ron pretty much every day for several months.
Wait wait wait! She said “can we get a pet and name it TimOthee”, he replied “you’d have to move in before we got a pet” and she said “it can live at mine” 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 that little exchange deceased me! We all have that subject that causes abit of tension in a relationship
Back in high school I had a teacher freshmen year. pronounce my name Dwight like it was dewite. She said my last name cook so I knew it was me. I didn't correct her. The thing was I had her for one class each year for four years. I never corrected her. All the students my friends started calling me it. They would laugh and joke with me. My senior year last week. After class she ask me to stay back she needed to talk to me. Which I was like oh no what i do. She ask me why for four years did I never correct her about my name how to say it. I said honestly I don't know and you knew you said my name incorrectly. She was like yeah I did freshmen year. Honestly I was waiting to see how long before you correct me. You never did so I just kept calling you it. I said well it wasn't a big deal really. She said you like to avoid conflict don't you. I was like yeah I do. She said here is some free advice. Sometimes speak up for yourself. There will be times you should. She looked at me and finally said my name correct. Said have a good rest of your day. Some reason i still remember that teacher. Only teacher after almost 25 years I remember.
There were like 8 Aaron's in class growing up and not once were any of them called A A Ron. I guess you have to do what you can when you're not clever enough to come up with better nicknames.
I will be your vocalist, Dave... we can do it like "the postal service" i can record my vocals from milwaukee, and you can do the guitar from Manchester... could be fun. I have been doing metal vocals since I was 16...
I like you folks. This is the first time I’ve watched one of your reaction videos…. 😂 this was entertaining! :-) Keep up the great work and I look forward to seeing more :-)
lol ppl here in the US definitely use to call our friends or whoever they new with the name aaron A-Aron because of this skit. when this thing came out i use to call my friend aaron A-Aron all the time
Poeple you are my favorite couple, I adore you, I wish that you play more reaction on everything, I love to watch you and listen, send you a big hello from Serbia ♥️🍀🙏
A good friend of mine has a son named Blake and from the age of 5, whenever his son did anything he shouldn’t be doing, my buddy would say “Do you wanna go to war Balakay?”

Watching Key and Peele never gets old.
Great reaction!!

AAron became every Aarons name ever after this
A specially AAron Roger’s!!! You done messed up Aaron !!!😂
I love how A-a-ron looks around the room, as if seeking support. "Here! Aww man..."
😂
My wife got a hedgehog pet and named it “Jquill’n” 😂
Genius and hilarious lmao
Such a classic! 😂🤣
I'm always impressed with all the actors playing the students. They all do a great job selling the skit.
I could not stop looking at this woman's hair....absolutely majestic....
You notice at the end Timothy did say present. The said “pre sent”

Oh snap she's from Zimbabwe🔥🔥🔥🔥
Watching Key and Peele never gets old.
Great reaction

Since this skit came out, these names have been forever altered in my brain 🙌🏻🤪🤣

I used to think "churlish" was just a different pronunciation for "childish," but I learned they're actually different words entirely.
Of all those silly names, A-A-Ron was the only one that went viral to that degree. You gotta do part 2 of the substitute teacher now!
I graduated in ‘93 & we were calling our friend Aaron A-Aron way back then in high school. It’s not new just new to folks who heard it on this show for the first time.
Love the 5.6 minutes of intro. You guys are both very natural in front of the camera, great conversationalist - so chit chat away!!
I'm from the Cook Islands 🇨🇰 and we had a friend called Aaron, and after we watched this skit back in 2013 we started calling him A A Ron.
The way she pronounced Mugabe though..... It was so spot on
7:08 Correct Dave.. This skit first aired on Comedy Central on October 17, 2012.
love them! "trying not laugh when your friend is crying" had me in tears laughing!
"Insubordinate and churlish". That same line is then used by Ty Burrell when they did the Awesome Hitler story sketch...😅😂
I love how infectious is their laughter when they react to great comedians! My favorites are their WWII skits for sure!
I have to look that up.
@@lout3921 You can't miss, them, they're the ones with Ty Burrell, from Modern Family, as a German Officer. 😂😂😂
Personally, your banter is the best part. You guys are open and real. Then again, I am an American. 😅 Keep it up. I've got the time.
Yea ash that’s A A RON joke came from this skit 😂😂 this brings back so many memories from middle school/ high school
I have a 60 year old coworker that calls my friend Ah-aron. I've been entertained for the last 2 years 😂😂😂
I am from Zimbabwe hearing Mugabe here was pretty funny 😅
I beyond impressed with your wife zim roots and she remembers a lot about home. Please pass my greets to her from a zim brother
4:26 - I usually think about Marcus Garvy, Jamaican Activist, founder of UNIA.
This is the #1 skit they did im my opinion. They even spent millions on a Super Bowl commercial with him playing this character.
I always thought it was interesting at like 7:52 he says "why didn't you answer me the first time I said Aaron" correctly. In my own head canon, I think he knows about the names and just wants to be a menace himself.
Every time I watch your reactions, I'm thinking, these 2 must thing we Americans are absolutely crazy. 😂❤
I was called Tim'Othee in school after this came out, still occasionally get called that name
Isn't Zimbabwean names sometimes are something like Charity, Blessing, Purity, etc.? I don't know if she is Zimbabwean but I have a colleague who's name is Suspicious.
I love that
AA Ron sounds like an alcoholic version of Harry Potter's best friend.
Dee-nice is a future Oscar winner. So understated, so sweet, so pathetically sad.
Watch the Key and Peele College Bowl skits: A-aron ends up playing football
The first 2 Substitute Teacher skits are my favorites.
Tbh, I’m here for Ash’s hair. Good God, it’s entrancing.
Great video Office Bloke Da Ve
Great reaction. Now you have to check out part 2.
Great reaction vid, would love to see more Key and Peele reaction vids.
Dying wife and weird landlord are great ones as well
11:45 Roper is my surname 😂😂😂

My God, Ash has beautiful hair!
This is the OG key n peele
Skit changed me forever 😆
Mitchell and Webb are the British Key and Peele.
First time watching, she really likes you. Don’t mess it up
😅😅
I thought the same thing, it's beautiful
Your pet should be a parrot that can say "pree-zent" when you say "tim-oh-thee" 8-)
As someone named Aaron I can confirm for a few Years got that n yelled at me a ton
You guys have to watch Coach Hines. Its from his Mad TV days:)
went to college with a Aron and a Aaron, we called the first Aron and the second Double A Ron
My favorite Key And Peele sketch is Cunnilingus Class, followed by the one about the inner city wizard school.
Nice link to the original video in the description! Im sure thats not against TOS on youtube to not include that.
I saw this back in high school and still funny today😂😂😂
I still yell "you done messed up A A Ron" once in a while
The opening music sounds like Type O Negative
Her laughter is CRACKING me up!!! 😂
The rewatch starts here 4:15
7:02 exact same. I used to call him a-a-ron aswell lmao.
I had a reverse moment of this in real life when I pronounced Devon as Dae von. But it was actually Dee vone.
Hey, 'Dave Clark' maybe one of the catchiest tunes ever produced.🤣🤣🤣
Dave, you gotta show Ash part 2 of Mr. Garvey.
I hope they react to part 2
Even better is the football allstar game sketches they did where Aaron Rodgers appeared as himself and pronounced it A-A-Ron.
The substitute teacher bits are my favorite. They never get old 😂

The East/West Bowl is another great Key and Peele skit that is similar to this one!
I like you folks. This is the first time I’ve watched one of your reaction videos…. 😂
this was entertaining! :-)
Keep up the great work and I look forward to seeing more :-)
They weren’t on SNL. They met on Mad TV. Then they got their own show.
Reaction 4:12 A mention of Mugabe just before. I thought the same thing
I still quote this at least once a day.
Why tf are you not living together, you are adorable
Yes, bud Aaron is ayayron forever, now
Big up the 🇿🇼 massive 💪
Damn Ash is cute. You guys are fun to watch together.
lol ppl here in the US definitely use to call our friends or whoever they new with the name aaron A-Aron because of this skit. when this thing came out i use to call my friend aaron A-Aron all the time
the fact he says pre-sent (pri-sent) , repre-sent english is awkwardly complicated .
These Guys Are Funny 😆
I always wondered if people outside of the US got this bit.
Cute couple! Duh-VEE and Ah-SHEE! I just subscribed on this one video. signed, Che-TON-ee (great town... Frank Sinatra likes it)
I really wish they would make more seasons!! 😭
Your lady is Rhodesian?
Good score
Mr Garvey is in reference to the honorable Marcus Mosiah Garvey go read
Should do the other one with Garvey and the same kids.
