Yep! Key & Peele are comic geniuses...!!! Their skits are not only funny, but they make you think as well... ... Funny as it may seem, I'm sure there are lots of people in real-life with lots of questions like these...!!!
I almost couldn't place him since he's wearing glasses, but the guy who keeps asking about the gay songs is Lance Riddick from "The Wire" and the John Wick movies. The faces he makes are priceless...he's trying so hard to understand the whole concept haha
Key and Peele is always fun. When gay marriage was legalized in the USA, this was how my aunts reacted, and somehow, they felt my mom was the one with the answers. She would ask me and pass info on to them. They thought she was some sort of gay genius.
I’m going to a gay wedding in a few weeks, so I’m taking careful notes. More importantly, Lance Reddick is a legend for 100 different reasons, only one of which is on display here. He is and will be missed.
K& P is not slapstick comedy. It is sketch comedy. Slapstick refers to comedy that requires physical action, like pie in the face, stepping on a rake and having it hit you in the face, tripping and falling etc.
The funniest part is that the person who seem informed is the most curious one. He disguises his questions thrown from other family members 😂😂😂😂😂 Peele is a freaking genius mehn
I think the Euros reference was that gay people must have a separate currency other than US dollars, so they used Euros. The whole sketch is about them believing gay culture is the opposite of straight culture.
I think most American think that the men from European countries always dress nice, always looks stylish, the stereotypes of gay men, that guy think Euro is the gay currency
I don’t think it was trying to imply that Europe had more gay people. I think it was playing on the assumption/stereotype that gay men are fabulous and fancy and in the sketch they considered Europe and Euros fancy.
So I think the whole euro reference is because it’s different than dollars which would make it gay …. Also when I was younger it seem like Europeans where more excepting of gay culture .. it was like gay people only came from SF or Europe
This cast was great: Vernee Watson (Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air) Danielle Gaither (Mad TV) Romany Malco (40 Year Old Virgin) Gary Anthony Williams (The Boondocks) Lance Reddick (The Wire) RIP
The Euros comment stems from the fact that more Europeans wear skinny jeans than Americans do, and that many Americans view skinny jeans as the preferred jeans within the gay community. As a side note about throwing rice at weddings in the US, it is banned in many places because rice hurts birds after eating it. Now many people throw birdseed instead. Good reaction.
@@ESUSAMEX I'm a real man and I'm tempted to try since I love wearing lycra a lot but I hate denim stuff Also I'm so much of a man, I can even take it like a man
Oh damm ! there is Lance Reddick in. R.I.P Love Key & Peel. And the fact Jordan Peel have made several good movies but in different kind, not in humor was also amazing.
Key & Peele are comic geniuses...!!! Their skits are not only funny, but they make you think as well... ... Funny as it may seem, I'm sure there are lots of people in real-life with lots of questions like these...!!!
I think lonely island is great for us who kind of grew up with them or well, saw them come up. Perhaps it doesn't capture newer audiences... Love them tho.
Key & Peel are almost always amazing! Even in the strange clips they put out, they would still always nail them! RIP Lance Reddick! God i loved watching him in everything! 💜😭❤
Regarding the Euros jokes, Americans sometimes refers European currencies to be more vibrant (colour) compared to American currencies where it's just green. The joke is the European currency is colourful as the gay flag. Therefore, he asks where get gay currency to buy gay gifts.
A lot of stuff that's funny or interesting when you're younger doesn't stand up with time. And it's an interesting thing because some shows have to hit you at the right age or it will be too late to ever really feel them. You might have liked them at fifteen but you've already outgrown them by the time you've heard about them.
I think the euros for the gay gifts part is the assumption that the couple would be try to be extra and exclusive, expecting special international gifts that required euros. It’s subtle and fitting jab at that particular stereotype of gay men this family is buying into out of ignorance and media consumption.
Dave I don't know if you remember the joke Anez J - My Brother Rodney But I think it would be an absolute classic reaction for Ash.. she's gonna love Rodney
Dave, Love your content. Gotta admit, I'm 35 and single - I hope one day I meet a beautiful women who looks at me the way she looks at you. You're a very lucky man.
she seems to think "slapstick comedy" means silly or something like that, as opposed to physical comedy, like falling down,or a pie in the face. slapstick refers to people tripping each other, using props, masks, smashing watermelons etc. this is in the satire family (making fun of how stupid some people can be). this isnt slapstick.
Out of context, you’d probably never watch my suggestion, but given the gay/european moment, I recommend watching “Gay or European” from Legally Blonde, The Musical. Even off camera. It’s quite entertaining.
Dave, please explain to her that this is not "slapstick" comedy. Slapstick does not mean simply silly. Slapstick involves exagerated physical actions: hiitting, slapping, falling down, running into walls and each other, etc.
Dave, this is my first time meeting your lady, she's beautiful! Why is it, that gingers always pick dark haired partners 🤔 i myself am a strawberry blonde ginger and have always preferred dark haired men 😂
That lady is the right person to do these comedic reactions. Beautiful, cheerful, smart and authentic. The guy reminds me of me. Good dude but he isn't a reactor at all.
The whole sketch is about gay people being different, so they wouldn't use dollars; they would use a different currency like euros or something. It's in the same vein as couscous instead of rice.
it's the subtle things that make this so funny lmao. the fact he keeps moving away slowly, "well he's not really a friend, he's my coworker" LOL
"cunnilingus" 😂
Yep! Key & Peele are comic geniuses...!!! Their skits are not only funny, but they make you think as well...
... Funny as it may seem, I'm sure there are lots of people in real-life with lots of questions like these...!!!
And Romany Malco's complete inability to make eye contact throughout the sketch.
“I took the, uh . . . (replaces “liberty” with “initiative”). Brilliant writing.
It's pretty crazy they got other veteran actors/comedians for a small skit. And I almost spit my drink out when he said couscous😂
Skittles..
When he asks if they pay for gay gifts in Euros is where I lose it.
I couldn't believe all the actors A/B actors they got for it.
They didn't add the second 'cous' until 1979. 🙂

Imagine Charon asking John Wick questions like this at the reception desk at the Continental, lol

Throwing couscous and Skittles at the gay wedding 😂😂

I freaking LOVE "four lions," actually the first thing I saw the delightful Riz Ahmed in. :D
I forgot Lance Reddick was in this. Rip to a great actor.
K& P is not slapstick comedy. It is sketch comedy. Slapstick refers to comedy that requires physical action, like pie in the face, stepping on a rake and having it hit you in the face, tripping and falling etc.
I think she was mislabeling farce as slapstick, which is an honest mistake to make, I’d say.
Then there's Weird Al Yankovic's "White and Nerdy" with a cameo by Key and Peele.
The funniest part is that the person who seem informed is the most curious one. He disguises his questions thrown from other family members 😂😂😂😂😂 Peele is a freaking genius mehn
Lonely Island is always awesome. She knows what’s up.

Four lions it's pretty funny the very end is a bit dark I can't believe it wasn't more popular
The couscous comment was definitely the highlight! I lolled! :)
Right at the end you realise Stefan was standing out in the hallway the whole time haha I guess they didn't want to invite him inside 😂😂😂
RIP Lance Reddick
I think it's sweet how open the family is despite how ignorant they are to the subject matter :D
The stupidest K&P you reacted to was the Terrierist Attack one. If she likes stupid she'll love that one.
Love lonely island especially the songs w Andy and Timberlake
when people from the uk say innit i can't stop saying it
This is one of my top favorites of K&P, every line (and the acting behind it) was freakin' hilarious.
If I ever go to a gay wedding, I'm absolutely taking a couple of bags of Skittles!
I don’t think it was trying to imply that Europe had more gay people. I think it was playing on the assumption/stereotype that gay men are fabulous and fancy and in the sketch they considered Europe and Euros fancy.

Well done, sir.
So glad to see you guys react to this! Love the music, but looking forward to more content like this!

Love a reaction to the British comedy "Come fly with me". Now the was funny as neck to me.
You get me?
Great reaction. Watch the Office Homophobe by Key and Peele also hilarious.
Euros is in reference to the stereotype that gay men are sophisticated and world travelers and different… is my guess.
Regarding the Euros jokes, Americans sometimes refers European currencies to be more vibrant (colour) compared to American currencies where it's just green. The joke is the European currency is colourful as the gay flag. Therefore, he asks where get gay currency to buy gay gifts.
