- I returned to my favourite city in the UK...Glasgow! As I was told there was a place so rough I had to go check out. So myself and @baldandbankrupt hopped on a train and headed to Port Glasgow to a place they call the Chernobyl of the UK! It certainly lived up to this reputation! After this we had a big night out as it was Saturday here in Glasgow which has a notorious reputation! Let's go! 🏴

@@colleenpeck6347 I work for 1 of the top 3 property developer in Scotland and a month ago in daily meetings my boss confirmed that they going to renovate these properties and make the area better and sell these house at really high prices. They will make it like the new gorbals. All the junkies and NEDs are all amost gone, these houses are dirt cheap - we will redevelop it then sell it at high prices. Cha ching

Something similar happened to me on my trip to Italy two years ago I went to a club to check out the night scene there was two women in the club that started dancing with me and a friend of mine then we began drinking and partying they used our phones to record videos and take photos I have many of me and one of the women still on my phone I was able to get her number but my phone doesn't get international calls nor can I do international calls and my best friend would probably get jealous me she's basically my version of Catarina
My parents are Jamacian 🇯🇲 but i was born and raised in the UK. In the mid 2000's i worked for a finance company who sent my black behind to Scotland for work. To say i was a little apprehensive was an understatement. But man, i was shown nothing but love and beautiful hospitality when i was there. Glasgow night life was a trip.
I remember walking into a pub the whole place stopped and looked at us. Our work mate was a local and introduced us to a guy who slapped me on my back and gave me a bear hug. We were only supposed to be passing through as we had a party to go to. They refused to let us leave. Ive never been that drunk in my life.the best ppl in the uk 🇬🇧 in my opinion live at the opposite ends of the country Cornwall and Scotland! Oh and the Irish are also some of the coolest ppl walking!

I lived here in the 80's and it was a respectable area to live. Landlords let the place go to the dogs. The murals were memories of shops in the past.

Those abandoned buildings low-key look better than most lived in buildings I’ve seen in Glasgow (from the outside of course). They definitely could be converted fairly easily at a fraction of the cost of constructing new buildings

Just missed you guys, got back from Shetland a couple of weeks ago. Loved it and saw the northern lights on the return ferry. You needed a few more days there as missed loads of great stuff.

The whole of the UK is smaller than 11 US states and it’s kind of shocking that they have dying towns. With the ability to work remotely a lot of small towns have been revitalized in the US as people escape the large hellholes. It seems like the same would happen there

I live across the river in a town called Dumbarton down the street from the castle and an abandoned grade 1 listed building St Peter's Seminary in Cardross which is amazing to see.
