NOW THIS IS How to Fish a New Marsh!!!
Вставка

- In this video I'll show you a few tips and tricks that I use to fish a new marsh. Why fish an unfamiliar marsh? Because every once in a while you just have to challenge your fishing prowess. One way I do that is by going to unfamiliar marsh systems and seeing if I can put fish in the boat. That's the ultimate litmus test!
I'm calling this new marsh system the Ormond Beach North marsh because it's north of the Highbridge Park Boat Ramp and thus its just north of Highbridge itself. It's close to the Flagler Beach water tower that you'll see in some of the footage and just southeast of Gamble Roger's state park. It's actually a great marsh to fish and after watching the video you'll see why I can't wait to go back.

I fished just south of the bridge last year. I like camping at either Tomoka State Park or Gable Rodgers State Park and kayak fishing from there. I will have to check this area out next time I'm up that way. I've been kayak/boat fishing for some time now, but I still find your channel very educational.
I'm glad you enjoy it!
Thank you for being a sane person with your left retrieve baitcaster. I dont understand why most people switch hands with a right retrieve. All mine are left retrieve.
LOL - thanks. I actually think the fishing industry swapped the names. In baseball if you throw with your right the glove goes on your left. So if I cast with my right....
Always enjoy your videos. My confidence bait is my vudu shrimp and the white slam shady. Thanks again.
Nice. I used to fish the vudu shrimp too, it's a fantastic bait. Slam Shady is a great color pattern, I use it on the ZMan Diezel MinnowZ from time to time. I hear the club is a good one too. Tight lines!
Great vid! Always a fun day when u fish from the kayak..
You got that right! Thanks for watching!
A weedless gold or black spoon is now one of my favorite confidence/search baits. I never really appreciated them much when I lived in FL but after living in Louisiana for 11 years it's probably my top go-to and every time I've visited FL, it's produced and now that we're moving back it'll definitely be putting in a lot of work
Ah, the lure of the spoon. Yes, it typically does work well although I haven't done a video on them yet. Question for you, do you use a swivel to prevent line twist?
@@KayakFishingAddict Yes I definitely need a swivel. I use the smallest black ball bearing swivel I can find and usually about 2-3ft of 20-30lbs fluoro leader.
I've fished this in both clear and muddy water and never noticed the swivel to cause any fish to spook but if any of the black paint gets scratched off then I recommend cutting off and replacing it as the flash can attract toothy critters like Bluefish and Spanish Mackerel to bite the swivel and cut you off.
@@alexanderren1097 It's that extra tackle requirement that prevents me from using one more often....but still it's very effective.
@@KayakFishingAddict Yeah, I wish they'd make them with the swivel built in but haven't see one yet
Always excited to see a new video drop from KFA
I appreciate that. Thanks for watching!
Enjoyed your video my friend, thanks for posting.
Thanks for watching!
Bro I love your videos, nice flow 🤙🏼
Thanks! I appreciate your kind words.
Great information, thank you sir!
You are most welcome. Thanks!
Awesome. Just picked up my first kayak yesterday. Can't wait to take it out!
Congrats on your new kayak! Like the rest of us you'll probably become addicted :).
Great video, Ron! Nice red!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!
Just went to your website. Awesome... just bought the shirt you had on in this video.
Glad you enjoy my videos, website, and apparel. Thanks!
Another great vid. Alway's learn a new tip from you. Finally 1st trip out yesterday, for this season. Just to pedal, paddle, and fun fish around, with that tranquility. Tested some new add-on's, and my new J2 Bixpy, to cover more water. Just a awsome day. Stay safe my friend..🙏 🎣
Thanks sir! I’m glad you enjoy my videos!!! I bet that bixpy was fun!
@@KayakFishingAddict Oh yes, it's performed perfect. I love my 120 pdl. But I did say in my 2nd year, I wanted the bixpy. And with all it's great reviews, at approx 12 lbs with the complete kit. I always know, I have 3 ways to get home, if anything were to happen. 🙏 🎣 😎
@@anthonyvespia6662 nice!
hey i met you a couple times in flagler, ive fished that spot a few times and had a good trout day once. ive hit the bridge for sheephead and got a couple.
Awesome.
This is my spot. I have been at these waters the past few weekends and my fishing experience has been good.
I wondered whose spot that was :). It's really nice back in there.
@@KayakFishingAddict I have met people who mentioned they fish the Ormond beach inshore flats because of your videos. Keep up the good work.
@@MarliBlingas Thanks for the encouragement. Tight lines.
Where the hell have you been ?
LOL, around 😊
