This is one of the only recent reviews of Be Our Guest that is fair. I think the price is high, but based on what you get is worth it for me. And you can't beat the ambiance. I go to Be Our Guest on every trip and I have never been disappointed with the food or service. I do wish they would bring back the photopass opportunity with Beast before or after your meal. I only experienced that once in 2019 and I feel that would be the perfect addition to the experience.
I am extremely disappointed that the opportunity to get photo taken & meet the Beast isn't available. I'm going to Disney somewhat soon & have reservations for Be Our Guest, being a huge Beauty and the Beast fan it was my hope to be able to get the opportunity to have my picture taken & meet the Beast. I'm not a big meat eater & only like white meat chicken, so I wonder if adults can order off the kids choices or not, does anyone know???
The food when we ate there in 2021 was really good. I wish they went back to the Chip edible cup w/ the grey stuff. I agree with Craig's assessment, it's one step away from being special. If they made it a true character meal it would be special, such a missed opportunity to only have the Beast walk around and wave. Would love to see Chip, Mrs. Potts, Lumiere or Cosworth. We may try Artist Point next year instead of coming here.
I was there just a week ago. We ate in the West Wing and arguably had the best meal of the week. This takes into account the whole experience: ambience, service, the Beast (appeared twice), the decor of the space, the food and its preparation. I had the trout amandine, and potato leek soup. The grey stuff was every bit as good as I’d heard!
On our last trip we did be our guest, Ohana, steakhouse 71, le cellier, tusker house, and several others. Be Our Guest was the unanimous favorite. I don’t understand why people say the food isn’t good other than perhaps they haven’t been there recently. I understand the price is considered steep by some, but I think it is worth it without a doubt.
Just went to bog and we absolutely loved it. One of the best dining experiences of our trip. This place gets more unwarranted hate than any other restaurant on property.
Used to love this place when it was a quick service location for lunch. Now it just doesn't fit what my family and I are looking for when we go to the Magic Kingdom. I know some people love it and for those people I'm very happy, but secretly I'm always hoping they go back to quick service for lunch.
Thanks for the fair review. I feel like many of the reviews can’t get past the price & that it was once quick service. But I think your review is more useful to those who visit WDW more infrequently
I'm so happy I was able to eat here a few times when lunch was quick service. The food was really good and you got to choose where you wanted to sit. Erica was totally ripped off on this meal.
Agree! I loved our lunch there when it was quick service: decent value, good food and a nice break for kids during the day. No way I could fathom a $60+ lunch
We went a few year ago and had dinner in the ballroom. The noise level was unbelievably loud to where it was hard for me to hear my daughter and granddaughter talking . The server was polite , but the atmosphere was extremely rushed. The soup was good , but my main dish of shrimp was watery . I definitely wouldn’t go back here . The Beast did a quick walkthrough twice . I think the main characters be in the room. On another day , we ate at Cinderella’s Royal Table for lunch . Excellent attention from the princesses who would visit with the guests so you could get a picture . Food was excellent and you didn’t feel rushed .
I loved the dinner at Be Our Guest before it changed. The food is still good, but to your point it is expensive! I don't know why it's not better. The old menu had a kids dessert where they "painted" a white chocolate Chip cup and then Grey stuff on the side. My daughter loved that.
Pete’s dream team nails the food review again…we’ll done, sharing ,tasting different food items is the best way to give a thorough review…everyone gets along great, giving all of us a heads up on the restaurant…Kinda like the castle , for the kids ,one and done…thanks, can’t wait for the next one
My aunt Jody made a reservation for Be Our Guest restaurant for my parents, Grandma, her, her boyfriend Kim and their son Quentin. We got to our table in the West Wing dining room and just started looking at the menu and the lightning struck and I completely freaked out so we left
Been to Be Our Guest three times (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) and ate in all three rooms. My favorite was the West Wing room at dinner. Breakfast was the worst option. Worth it for the experience, but probably wouldn't do it again.
Me and my partner dined there for the first time last week, and it was his favorite dining experience! (And that was up against Jiko.) We genuinely don’t understand why it gets hate the way it does?!
@@BeautyInTheMagic I think I know why. Ive been there twice. They definitely changed the presentation of the grey stuff. It used to come in a white chocolate mold of Chip, which was edible. Maybe they stopped doing that because nobody was eating it and they were wasting white chocolate. For me, the experience was nice but I would not do it again
Although I’ve no food allergies nor am I vegetarian, I think the price for these meals should be cheaper. It really does cost a considerable amount less for veggies than meat. This should be reflected in the pricing. They could also have put more food on Erica’s plate for Pete’s sake! 😂❤ yes pun intended!

Disney needs to step up with a grand dessert tray or your choice of dessert prepared by a gourmet pastry chef!

They don't serve breakfast or the previous lunch menu anymore Kyle, as they are now only doing the prefix expensive dinner menu for both lunch and dinner.
I had some wonderful meals at lunchtime, before the shut-down, when it was still quick-service. Whether it is "good" or not right now is irrelevant to me, as there is no way that we would pay that sort of money (for an 11 year old, no less!) for a meal like that. Outrageous. Nope. Makes me sad; I used to enjoy going there.
"Roasted 'Poulet Rouge' Chicken"....UHM OK... after translating the two french words in that phrase it is: "Roasted Chicken Red Chicken" ....Excluding the redundant 2nd english "Chicken" which was obviously done for the usually culturally illiterate american audience basically... you get "roasted red (with perhaps 'vin' or "wine" implied?) chicken". I can see the debate, perhaps days long, around the menu committee table about how to name that particular dish.)
Seems noisy,, overpriced, and a bad value...it really was designed as a people eating quick service....so that's what you are getting really.. its not signature....or quality on any high level....save your money for a down payment on a house....or invest it...
Dear friends, and I consider you friends.... First: Endive is pronounced "On-DEEve" in French, "EN-DIVE" in English. Second: GRUYERE cheese is "Groo-yair" Third: DuRoc pork is a BREED of pig, a very good one, hence mentioning it on a menu. Now then--I love ya, truly...but: You guys are connected to the internet. You have in your phones the ability, before going on camera and butchering stuff like this, to find out the RIGHT pronunciations, the FACTS about the pork, etc.etc. and thus share them with your audience and not look like either (a) you're stupid, which I know you are not or (b) you don't care, which I know isn't you. It seems to me that not doing that basic "spadework" and research when it is so EASY to get it RIGHT and thus expand your mission to educate your audience is, in fact, disrespectful of your audience. One might say "But yeah, the average American tourist doesn't know these things" and I think that'd be wrong, but either way, isn't it your DUTY as GUIDES to things to know more than the audience and cheerfully share it with geniality and expertise, not just stumble in blind and screw it up? Please work harder--it is so easy to get it right. Thanks. Meanwhile, re the price of this place? You have to remember that Disney, with their fetish for numbers and efficiency, has already figured out before you walk in the door approximately how many patrons will get the pig, the beef, the chicken, etc. etc. and worked all that into the equation to say "Hey, we take a lesser profit on the meat but make it upon the veggies and chicken" etc. etc. and come up with their "Nut -plus- margin" price, then figure out how much they can thrown on top because it is a "unique" experience and hype the heck out of it. IF I were a party of four and EVERYBODY ordered what Erica did? I'd be feeling gypped. But over the course of the whole lunch service for several hundred guests it balances out. The place is STILL overpriced (and yeah, that silly little dessert sampling is how they REALLY make it back because for their huge pastry dept. to churn those little one-bite-wonders out in multiples AND for them to "keep" for a day or two if the count goes over or under is a real bargain, plus it takes the pressure off the kitchen when EVERYbody is getting the same thing) and not for our family ever, but as you said, if you're a B&theB fanatic, it is a "once" but repeat biz is probably very, very slight. Thanks!
It still shitty food for the price of gold. Only people who thinks Olive Garden is fine dining would consider this on the same boat. 😂 go back to Applebee’s. The theming is superb, that’s what I love about it. That’s about it. It’s a waste of money. Do it for the first and last experience.

Duroc is the breed of pork. It’s an old American one. In Belgium we have the duroc d’olives breed which is a combination one and even better.

Tuxedos and all.
Good Food, Great atmosphere but when you are a family of 5, it just doesn't hit right when you pay the bill.
I wonder why the Beast is not a meet and greet here anymore?
Gree-Air, panda! 😂
Miss Congeniality! Ryno is my hero! $67 for plant based? Geez. Yes, it is not acceptable to have only a scoop of sorbet for dairy allergy. I would have much preferred the Beauty and the Beast trackless dark ride in this spot than a restaurant.
Love the dining reviews!❤❤❤
Not a fan of Disney’s prix fixe only obsession. A clever way to force every customer to order appetizer, entree, and dessert.
No, it's so some cheapo doesn't book an ADR to only order just a drink and occupy a table for an hour and a half.
I agree, I personally don't like desserts, so it doesn't work for me.
they do it to keep costs down. definitely annoying
@@alexherbst9477 It's for cost savings.
When I went in 2015 I got soup and a dessert. It was great!
I think it's worth it for the steak, escargot, and theming. If I had food restrictions for those things, probably not.
Ryno you are not a cheaper person , just more discerning

Paying close to $100 for 1 vegetable option is no go for me. Did it. Not going back until they expand or adjust pricing for vegetarians/vegans.
I’m glad I’ve been before. Not worth the money for me now. The old lunch menu for lunch with sandwiches was my favorite part of there. Thanks for review. I won’t be going now.
It sounds like the middle of a train station.
It's very noisy.
YES!!!!!
The prices are beyond ridiculous
Loved our experience there but it is very noisy.
I agree with the very noisy part...not relaxing
We've never gone as my whole family is vegetarian. I wish Disney would introduce a cheaper option for those of us who eat no meat. I don't think it would be very hard.
When it was quick-service I had a wonderful white bean cassoulet. Delicious! And infinitely more affordable. The prices there now are obscene.
Oh my god, it’s happening

Yeah , they should have a better dessert menu ….and they gray stuff should just come with dessert …just for theming .
They changed the vegan entree to something else that quick 😩
For the price, they should serve a seven layer chocolate cake or a fancy cheesecake, at least. The food looked good, just not worth that price tag😢
I can’t get over Erica’s all veggie small portion meal for $67. The filet was good a few year’s back and like $60. Not worth it for the other entrees
They really should just the lower the price for the vegetarian option
Any word our breakfast is coming back??

The food is great here
Ryno you need to add pork to your menu!
“Anh-dive”
The menu needs to be completely redone along with the lunch. I would say the best value is breakfast here. It’s a beautiful restaurant that is held back by the menu. It’s a shame.
Yup, I really wanted to come here when we were at DW last September but nothing on the menu looked appealing.
need to have the al-a-cart lunch menu back. I won't eat here until they do.
They don't serve breakfast or the previous lunch menu anymore Kyle, as they are now only doing the prefix expensive dinner menu for both lunch and dinner.
Yes. I feel the same.
Is this place the worst value in WDW? If it isn't, it's at least in the Top 5.
Love the filet... Don't get the hate this place gets
I’m not sure I’d return to be our guest based on a dish considered “pretty decent” at the costs charged
I had some wonderful meals at lunchtime, before the shut-down, when it was still quick-service. Yeah. Just not worth it if you've been there before.
If you were diabetic it probably wouldn't be worth it either
You're being too generous. With a price like that, the dessert selection should be way better than what is offered.
Crème Brûlée would be nice
Love you guys, love the review, but absolutely EVERYTHING was pronounced wrong haha.
Seems noisy,, overpriced, and a bad value...it really was designed as a people eating quick service....so that's what you are getting really.. its not signature....or quality on any high level....save your money for a down payment on a house....or invest it...
perfectly stated
Dear friends, and I consider you friends....
First: Endive is pronounced "On-DEEve" in French, "EN-DIVE" in English.
Second: GRUYERE cheese is "Groo-yair"
Third: DuRoc pork is a BREED of pig, a very good one, hence mentioning it on a menu.
