I mean tbh they're both economically and socially privileged and attended schools that pretty much guarantee success so it's not surprising that they'd both end up in the public eye. Show me two successful actors from the same state school in a deprived working-class area and then I'll be impressed.
@@hanonhold Class doesn’t matter to me when judging a person and one of the things I really admire about Tom is that he doesn’t seem to judge anyone based on their class or ‘grade.’ He’s pretty damned high class but he doesn’t let it get to him and treats everyone kindly and with respect! I’m sure Eddie is a nice chap as well but I happen to know more about Hiddleston. He’s a humble gentleman and *not* an ‘arrogant snob’ like some probably perceive him as to be since he is well-spoken and well educated. He doesn’t like people thinking of him as a ‘snobbish toff.’ He’s actually a pretty laid back, friendly and approachable guy who is known to do just about anything for his fans and just to try and do his small part in making the world a *slightly* better place who is also a great role model with some truly inspiring and motivational quotes.
The elite English actors all went to Eton (West,Laurie,Redmayne,Huddleston) the second most expensive private school in Britain. Unsurprising therefore that they all reached the top of their profession but Eton does encourage risk taking to complement their confidence. Too bad that 98% of other talented British actors have to struggle to make any impact.
Ayyyy somebody else actually said this for once! Chapeau. And to expand on this, in case somebody decides to get weird about it, nobody's claiming these gentlemen don't work hard or lack talent; it's simply that they're the only ones who actually get the opportunities to thrive in their chosen profession. The number of working class people working in the arts is absolutely dire right now, as recent studies have shown. It's abysmal.

Eddie is an amazing actor! The fact that he just happened to go to school with another excellent actor, Hiddleston, is kismet.
And Tom was inside of an elephant leg while carrying Eddie who was dressed as a woman! 😂
