The Day of the Jackal probably set him up to be the next James Bond 007. I mean even the soundtrack of the show sounds like a James Bond's one. Bravo Eddie! You pulled that one through, mate! I have been following your career closely since The Good Shepherd.
Finished the season today, this show is SO GOOD! Suspenseful, just the right amount of action and the cast, especially Redmayne, is fantastic. I can see this guy being considered as the next Bond…
Probably a broken record, but he would probably not do it for a couple reasons: it's a huge time commitment and removes him from doing other projects and he's going to be 43 soon. He'd probably be close to 50 if he were to do a second Bond film.
A great big Thank You! to Seth for bringing up the Corrections Jackals. I sat with bated breath through the interview, but there it was at the end. The Jackal meeting the Jackals. What an honor. You've done us proud. PS. Seth ask Eddie if he'd like to be a guest on Family Trips, please.
So nice of Seth to make Eddie Redmayne do a show called after the Late Night Jackals, even getting him a golden globe nomination and inviting him - just to show his appreciation for our collective work (Seth included). Really love it!
What a great interview! Eddie Redmayne is so flappable! 😄 He and Seth are so sympatico, it's a pleasure to see them interact. And the icing on the cake was Seth jackaling 'Day of the Jackal'. It was like an episode of Corrections within the interview within LNSM. A nested gem! Just a delight. The jackals who made those Corrections should be very proud. We all should! 🐺🐾🐾
And, just like Corrections, the corrections come at the very end almost as an afterthought. Even though you just KNOW that was forefront on Seths and all of our minds!
Loved the interview. Thanks for trying to get accountability from Eddie for the errors on his show; without license plate veracity, how can we watch the series without thinking it's all a lie? Oh, and Seth, now that we have you on record for blaming innocent crew members for your own mistakes, we are never again believing that Baze writes all the Corrections jokes that don't land. --A Jackal
I'm one happy Jackal - I _knew_ Seth couldn't resist - (& Eddie Redmayne is our KING afterall - red-mane - 👑🦊👑 - "Day of the *Jackal*" = ) so pleased Seth chose such obscure technical corrections 😂 - as I said one very happy Jackal 🥳💖🦊💖🥳 - thanks Seth 😽 & yes, I am aware that that 🦊is actually a fox - (& so the 'red-mane' also isn't actually accurate) - however... bite me LOL 😂🙃😉😊 - I'm having fun 😘
Just finished watching the series. Binge watched it honestly. Love Eddie Redmayne's work to the bone. Hope we will see more of him in thriller projects.
I’ve had the craziest crush on Eddie Redmayne ever since he did Les Miserables 13 years ago. Seth bringing him into the Corrections world like that was just too good 💙 Thanks Seth!
OMG Eddie Redmayne is so f**king scary good in Day of the Jackal!!! Knots in stomach, heart racing the whole time I’m watching. Great cast and performances, stunning scenery. Eddie, tell your dad you most definitely didn’t f*ck it up! 🫣👏🏻
Bullets don’t disintegrate when they hit water, they just slow down. Forensics labs usually have a water tank that they fire bullets into in order to preserve the unique rifling markings on the bullets’ sides, created by each individual gun barrel’s rifling lands & grooves.
Today is Thursday - a new episode!!! I am going to wait a while and savor it, later in the day, with a Bloody Mary. Eddie is great as the Jackal. I, too, adore the elegant, original movie. In fact, I watch it at least once a year. (You can see it on AM P). I've also read the novel several times, and I rarely ever re-read books. It's such a fabulous thriller. Frederick Forsyth nailed it. FYI: The audio of "Day Of The Jackal" is here, free, on YT. I listened to it a few weeks ago.
I am so happy for this guy. I have been watching his career since his Pillars of the Earth days and even back then I knew he was going to make it big, so happy that he continues to do so 😄🫶🏼
Amazing series :) enjoyed every single episode of it :) One of the rare moments i want the assassin to win, and rooted for him through out the show :) Loved how they blurred the lines between who is good and bad, and the suspense is amazing :)
Brilliant series. Eddie describing himself as '100% flappable' is so effing relatable. I got anxiety just watching the Jackal having to get through some of the situations in the programme.
My Dad and I loved the one with Bruce Willis, Sidney Poitier, and Richard Gere, so I couldn’t wait for it to air. I’ve watched a couple of TV shows that I thought were awesome. But this one left me thinking about it all the time. I wake up singing the theme song. I cheered for him to get away every time, in fact I just looked for info on next season today and found him on Facebook and lo n behold today is his Birthday.
But maaaan you slay the german character.I had to googled if you really speak the languge😂😂.I am in Germany and speaking their language give me a lot of stess😂😂
I would give this season a solid 8/10. Bianca's actress really did not do it for me. As an actress, she is plain and simple BAD, and she just does not suit this character to me either, Eddie Redmayne on the other hand is incredible and portrays "The Jackal" so effortlessly.
OMG The Day of the Jackal 1977 was my father’s favorite movie that we watched over and over again and it was one of 3 first VHS tapes we had. Eddie’s Jackal is a mesmerizing paradox - not just sleek, he is creepy, scary, sexy than suddenly moralistic…
There's nothing wrong with choosing a fictional format for fictional Hungarian license plates, just like there's nothing wrong with the thousands of fictional 555-xxxx phone numbers in tv series. The producers want to ensure they don't use a number belonging to a real person, who might someday have grounds for a lawsuit. Fun fact: No phone numbers in the U.S. have a 555 prefix.
He didn't disappoint, The series is awesome, cannot wait for the next season.
Absolutely.
I loved it.
Same here 👌🏿
He was great, but the plot holes and stupid script was not.
its not over yet
Eddie is just such a likable personality, he and Seth have great chemistry
Need to see Eddie host SNL. I bet he would be a hoot!
Eddie is a married man bud.....
@@michael-4k4000 you do know that people can have chemistry without it having to be in a romantic way right
Eddie Redmayne is such a dapper gentleman. I applaud his sartorial style.
no other way to describe Eddie other than pure class
A yes . . . The Prince of Jackals makes an appearance in the Court of Late Night.
I saw him in Cabaret this summer, and his acting was superb. He really physically transforms for every role, such a talent in everything he does! 😊
And he sounds like such a sweet human being honestly
Miserable showcased Eddy He steals every scene. Brilliant actor
The Day of the Jackal probably set him up to be the next James Bond 007. I mean even the soundtrack of the show sounds like a James Bond's one. Bravo Eddie! You pulled that one through, mate! I have been following your career closely since The Good Shepherd.
Honestly after watching this series i thought the same! He’s just brilliant!
Finished the season today, this show is SO GOOD! Suspenseful, just the right amount of action and the cast, especially Redmayne, is fantastic. I can see this guy being considered as the next Bond…
Is it gory?
@@mickeymcgalliard45 Not gratuitously so, but yeah, it doesn't shy from the violence in any way, or tone down the bloodletting.

@@mickeymcgalliard45 Yes, but not overly so.
It was very gracious of Eddie to come onto the show proper so soon after his appearance on Corrections!
Eddie's german was flawless! Especially compared to other english speaking actors that had to speak german in movies or TV. Great coach!
Please have Eddie on Family Trips! I want to keep listening to these two laughing ❤😂
Watched all available Jackal episodes over the last dew days He’s so good. Highly recommend.
Redmayne seems like such a nice, intelligent, well-spoken and classy guy!
This was a gift. Best ever! Thanks to Eddie for coming back. He’s much more flexible and talkative in person.
If this is a reference to his appearance on Corrections as a cardboard cutout, then I tip my cap to you, Jackal! 🐾😂
A great big Thank You! to Seth for bringing up the Corrections Jackals. I sat with bated breath through the interview, but there it was at the end. The Jackal meeting the Jackals. What an honor. You've done us proud.

Eddie Redmayne is a wonderful actor and a wonderful human being.
He's very flappable!
Day of the Jackal you say? I’ve been training over 100 episodes for this!!
Great actor and show! I'm happy there will be a season 2.
What a great interview! Eddie Redmayne is so flappable! 😄 He and Seth are so sympatico, it's a pleasure to see them interact. And the icing on the cake was Seth jackaling 'Day of the Jackal'. Agree! We owe the jackals who thought to send in corrections for that show, to Seth 👏👏🐾

1:00 - Fashion note: Eddie's suit is cut in a way that is so very early 1970's. Which works well for a guy who is recreating a classic of 1973.
Love him! He's brilliant in Day of the Jackal.
Eddie is PHENOMENAL as The Jackal! YUM!
Nice try, Meyers. Corrections Jackals know that's just a cardboard cutout of Eddie Redmayne!
This might be a case of the boy who cried jackal.
I was hoping they were going to talk about his corrections cameo 😂
100% we want the real Edmond
Eddie Redmayne is so great in this role. He disappears into it so well.
I clicked on this so fast hoping to have us Corrections jackals mentioned 😃🐾🐾 loved that Seth read some out and Eddie blamed his crew!
Was also hoping Seth would do his Wilcommen dance 🤣🤣🐾
Best show of the year! He did such an amazing job with total respect to the original.
The white Alfa Romeo convertible & the practice shooting with the water melon painted the same as the film. Plus the name Duggan 😊
The Hungarian license plate one gets me every time
He deserves an Emmy for that performance, best I've seen, requires a lot of language skill.
Literally only watched this because of “jackal”, but now I want to watch the actual show! It sounds great
It's amazing

who knew vampires were glittery & loved climbing trees 🤷🤷♂🤷♀
Say it, say your right words...
I wish the goblin king would take you away. 😂
Surprise appearance by AOC in the clip.
He's talented. He's good in a lot of roles.
Everyone let Meyers know your Day of the Jackal corrections
We’re jakal jackals!
What a show, he did a magnificent job playing it. I'm so happy the decided on second saison
I wish I lived in New York to see Eddie on stage ❤ damn I love him
And, just like Corrections, the corrections come at the very end almost as an afterthought. Even though you just KNOW that was forefront on Seths and all of our minds!
Look at him talking ...OOzes class ...that's a great Pedigree right there .... Parents should be proud !! Much Respect !
I hope he wins the Golden Globes! 🏆
The best part of this interview is Seth bringing up corrections. To the uninitiated (Non-Jackals), it is weird.
But as a follower of Corrections I felt seen!
Weird but worth it. Join us 🧟♂️ 🐆
Loved him since the Danish Girl, my son came out to me the following day ❤
Correctiooms segment starts at 9:14
I loved him in the movie "The french girl" wonderful actor.
I was hoping someone would mention that film, it's a favorite and it introduced me to Eddie Redmayne. He's such a talent!
Maybe the danish girl ?
*Danish girl
Here for the Jackals,
I'm a little disappointed you didn't do the Willkommen impression for him.

❤ Eddie 😍 from his early works (like minds, savage grace, yellow handkerchief) to the dashing/driven sniper P.S love the tie

Eddie is fantastic in it, definitely recommend for any fans of spy and assassin stories.
Better than Edward Fox, or better than the Your Mind’s Eye Theater (r) version of Ludlum’s novel?
The warning worked... He killed the role and then wore the suit to match as the cherry on top😂
We love eddie redmayne and seth meyers
OMG Eddie Redmayne is so f**king scary good in Day of the Jackal!!! Knots in stomach, heart racing the whole time I’m watching. Great cast and performances, stunning scenery. Eddie, tell your dad you most definitely didn’t f*ck it up! 🫣👏🏻
Its so friggin awesome I love it , whenever he is on screen its just wow
Eddie Redmayne is sucha great and impressive actor. He's kinda scary as the main protagonist of this series. I'm just mind-blown by his performance.

Was a great movie. Don't have TV, so won't see this, but did want to watch what his dad said. 😁
OMG Eddie Redmayne is so adorable.
Really enjoyed this show. Can't wait for season 2.
Eddie is the best!!!!!!!!!!! And can’t get enough of the jackal
I spent a very late, drunken night 10 years ago in a small bar in Mons with Dan Snow and Eddie Redmayne. Complete gentlemen the pair of them.
When I lived in South London ( Elephant and Castle ) I saw Eddie having a coffee in Cafe Nero - such a normal thing to do
For our generation, this is our Jackal.. excellent tribute to the legendary masterpiece
Outstanding work Eddie on the day of the Jackal. He is incredible
Congratulations. 👏Eddie's transformation is fantastic.🤍

He is perfect as the Jackal!👏🙏
What a series absolutely masterpiece 👏😊 just loving it
I have nust finished watching the series and all I can say is WOW, when is series 2 coming out!
I love him!! The day of the jackal so good!!
Huge fan of you Eddie! Loved you in the day of the jackal!
he's just stunning actor and man!
I’m glad I gave it a chance because it was good. I binged the first 5 episodes and then watched weekly.
