I had one just like this except mine had a tan leather interior. It was a beauty and the 500 c.i. Caddy engine would move it down the road. So luxurious yet so sporty.
My parents bought one brand new in 1968. I bought a real cheap 1968 Eldo a few decades ago and was rear ended by a 1968 Firebird. It smashed in the rear end really bad. Surprisingly the Firebird showed hardly any damage.
Sorry to burst your bubble but that vinyl top is NOT factory original....In that era, Caddy used a very fine grain vinyl top that almost looked like ALIGATOR skin....This is a vinyl top from the 80's ...
Beautiful vehicle. But this car does have some rust under the rear roof pillar. I can see the bubbles under the vinyl top near the rear deck on the side just above the trunk.
Besides the vinyl roof not being original (as someone else mentioned, the grain is not correct!), the body side moldings are also not correct. Those moldings were added on during the late 1980's/1990's. The original body side molding would of been solid metal !!

Very nice car and a Thumbs Up.
The car comes complete with membership in the local Sicilian Club, a scratched out VIN, and a body in the trunk...
