Man, your statements at the beginning of the video about essentially not "reinventing the wheel" was very liberating. In hustle/entrepreneur culture, there's all this jargon about developing the next big app, service, company and becoming a millionaire or multiple six-figure earner. It even exists in music, art, etc. The whole concept of you've got to the best there ever was.. it's just so toxic and like you said "soul-crushing". I've been dealing with that alot over the past year or so and it's made it tough to get my business to that next level. Love your concept of putting focus on the value you're bringing to a particular group of people and owning that. Very liberating and encouraging. Great content. I'm a new subscriber but I'll definitely be sticking around. Thank you Graham!
These were the best 45 minutes of content that I've watched today! I've been looking for the "unique value" that I was told on one of the business courses for 4 years reinventing the reinvention of the wheel. Now I feel inspired cuz I AM super-valuable already. I was just holding myself back for (as it turned out) no reason. Huge thank you for this video. See you in a month, cuz I tend to forget good ideas.
Well, I must say - you Graham and Phil Ebiner are my biggest inspiration and virtual mentors. Thank's to you I built my niche, here in Poland, Eastern Europe, gave up my 8 to 4 job and went into a full-time entrepreneur with a membership site, almost 30 courses on Skillshare, Udemy, and Teachable, 1500 members fb group and weekly live sessions. Hope next steps will cover Kajabi and your membership group. Best regards and thank you!
The best example is G-mail. The value added through their style of emailing was in of itself, simple just value added through creating a more organized emailing system. They didn't create emails, they just simplified the whole process LOL
Really enjoyed this video!! Great to confirm how I am coaching is creating great value but I also enjoy how you bring everything together in a “simple” easy to understand way!!
Hi Graham. I'm new to your channel. I'm a new to blogging and feeling overwhelmed. Your videos are helpful. I like the way you break things down. It's given me more motivation and confidence. Thank you.
bro Love from India , its really a very nice way of communication , i had to present on Adding value and this helped me ton , i am going to spread this idea ...................
Thank you for that great episode again Graham! One question that refers to your last CTA. Ask your email-list. How can I get some answers back from my audience if no one gives me any answers, reply to my email. One of the last questions of mine was: "How can I help you?" No reply by my email-list. Should I ask them again?
nice video gives insights on what kind of product to make but around 2 minutes in a statement regarding future predictions is not necessarily luck you can certainly learn patterns and many things in the past for reference for the “next big thing” just look at gary vee. not a lucky guy at all he just puts the work in to predict. doesn’t throw 100 predictions out there.
Even then, everything we do is a variation of what was done before. EVERYTHING. We still at the end of the day work for our families and to put food in the table. That doesn't change. The cycle goes until we die, the we go back to the dust. it's so simple. the only important question is, were you abiding in Jesus and serving HIM? That's the key. JESUS IS KING amen
1889, Charles H. Duell was the Commissioner of US patent office “Everything that can be invented has been invented. “ LOL Turns out he didn’t know everything like he thought he did aye? Some constructive criticism: there is a bit of a condescending tone here in that we the lowly viewers know nothing, are not unique and have no way to innovate. Really? I do agree value add is the most important factor and i do appreciate your points made on solving a problem, simplifying the complex, saving time , getting results but here is the thing : value add IS innovation right? its doing something that was not there before, not inventing the chinese restaurant, but transforming it into a product or service not previously available .To me thats innovation-not inventing telling jokes and not stale humor for example-but new jokes , which through trial and error entertain ,which by definition of humor are new innovative ways at looking at things. Motivation? Thats non value add rubbish to me,in a very stagnant and saturated market of self help gurus ,but thats my opinion and to each their own. So in summary, maybe a better approach would be not to dismiss innovation as useless but to redefine HOW it is MOST useful by adding value on a smaller scale , not inventing an industry. That makes more sense to me.Thanks for taking the time to do the video.

Are you serious? What value does having a place to live, work, sleep, eat, etc. have on a person?
