I appreciate his openness and his contribution but I feel he is downplaying the cruelty and hatred of the apartheid system. The system was not just about separate development as he puts it, it was segregation and white-first, white-ahead, white-better, etc
Lol, I was born in South Africa. I now live in America and I'm an American citizen now. I grow up during the apartheid years. I was born in 1960. I went to an Afrikaans school. And I learned English in my high school in South Africa. I always felt that apartheid was wrong. I have had some challenges with my fellow coworkers in my hometown .when I was working at Woolworths, when I was 22years old. We worked at Sunneypark shopping center. And my coworkers name was Tabia and she came to tell me were mast i go when i want to use the bathroom because she just tilled me that they put a sign up that said whites only bathrooms. I didn't live very far from Woolworths .so I tilled Tabea she can use my house if she wants to go. Of course I am from South-south Africa but when I get with my friends here in America. Sure I get to ask about apartheid. I'm very proud to be American. A lot of young people in South Africa feel portrayed by the rainbow nation since they were born into this rainbow nation. And they don't know anything about apartheid. They re fell like they are discriminated against . I have family still live in south Africa and my brother and sisters have teenagers and still in school there. But I just hope they're can found each other and and overcome there there differences. My brothers San is in the 11th great. He's in a private-public school.
