Sonic is 9.5x light speed in fucking base and is at lowball a planet level due to the fact he soloed perfect chaos with no issue and destroyed shadow in his rival battle and also beated silver.
I like the debunking on Mat Pat's video. It was a fun video. No idea when i subscribed to you.
Archie actually *did* do a proper Sonic CD adaptation.
*BUT*
It was made post-sgw and was part of that continuity, meaning that MatPat is still incorrect about using the pre-sgw Sonic because there *still* isn’t a great parallel for MatPat to use in the continuity he’s trying to project onto the game canon.

Good job as usual Miku! I do not know why I didn't had any notifications earlier lol. I find it outstanding how Matpat used Archie of all things or even the time travel in this game specifically of all things. Also, I can't wait for Neo-Geonic's video.
I'm pretty sure the Archie comics is just its own canon, completely separate from the game universe...so why the heck did matpat use it?
To help support is theory on Sonic because he believe Canon Video Game Sonic isn't fast enough to be the Speed of Light
Also, is it really hard for MatPat to believe that these fictional characters can use some form of mystical/supernatural power to surpass realistic physics? I mean, he must be confused as to how the likes of Mario and Kirby can travel across whole star systems without burning up...Yeah, for all his claims of being a Nintendo fanboy, he forgets that there are some Nintendo characters that have also been subjected to faster-than-light travel.

I'm late but the time traveling in CD isn't actually magic alone (according to one fo your comments).
It is stated and implied that if Sonic didn't run, the time warp wouldn't even worked and thus he couldn't time travel. Another scan literally says the player had to surpass the boundaries of time itself.
If I misunderstood your comment then please tell me so. I was somewhat skeptical of this theory as well but I didn't see any major problems until this video of course.
woudlnt that mean eggman has irrelevant speed, he outran sonic in sonic the hedgehog 2 and sonic 2 comes after sonic cdd as proven by origins, therfore eggman is one of the fastest characters in fiction.
I don’t really think it’s silly to assume that Sonic can still accomplish the same feats Post SGW, since none of the characters were altered in any way, it was just the events of what they did that was erased, so if Post Super Genesis Wave Sonic is the same Sonic as before, it’s very safe to assume he can still do what he did before no problem.

I know that this is probably a nitpick and isn't really relevant as it doesn't prove Matpat right, but I just wanted to say that while it is true that Sonic couldn't time travel without the help of the time signs, a description of how they work in the Sonic CD Japanese Instruction Booklet (Page 16) shows that the individual still needs to run at speeds faster than light in order for the signs to work, so Sonic is capable of running at faster than light speed in the game Canon. Hey, I just realized something. This is proof that Matpat really can't research well, as there was already proof that Sonic is faster than light in the VERY GAME HE LOOKED AT and he didn't even need to rely on the Archie comics for it, and yet he completely missed it! Oooouuuuuuuuch.
The time post or time signs or whatever they are called, they have like 3 names, they are game mechanics, they are not real objects, they are not talked about in history.
on top of that if you consider that sonic in generations is capable of time travel without any time post
@@Joyscp999 Sonic wasn't time traveling in Generations on his own. He was running to different points in time that the Time Eater dragged into it's void. He wouldn't be able to get to those points in time if it wasn't for the Time Eater.

The real answer? Literally science defying speed magic.
That said, it _would've_ been nice if Archie had done a CD story, even as a one-off, considering Amy Rose just sort of...appears, if I recall. Rando fangirl turned main cast.
Classic sonic from generations was reckoned to be a sonic from another dimension dose that effect anything.
Classic Sonic being from the past wasn’t retconned. As far as I know, there was actually a timeline split after Sonic Generations that caused Classic Sonic’s world to lead into Sonic Mania. Modern Sonic never experienced the events of Sonic Mania, so the world where Classic Sonic is from became an alternate universe from Modern Sonic’s perspective. Classic Sonic still is or at least still was Modern Sonic’s younger self.
It wasn't retconned. Another timeline is no different than another dimension from Modern's point of view. The whole plot of Generations was about time travel anyways. If anything, the past of Classic became another dimension because of Generation happening to Classic Sonic/Eggman/Tails, changing their course of action and creating a new timeline, which is basically another dimension.

@@goldenboybenny7511 Why can't it do both? Every time Silver time travels, it usually fixes the future. Solaris gets defeated like this because they erased Solaris in the past when it was just a flame, affecting the future. But then Generations comes in, and suddenly, changing the past doesn't change the future (otherwise, Classic Sonic knowing how to do a homing attack or at least the beginning of a homing attack makes no sense since he couldn't even do that until Adventure). So I propose that the time travel from Time Eater doesn't have the same rules as time travel from Silver/CD
I mean it effects nothing that it was reckoned to another dimension because in sonic generations both of them moved fast enough to fix space and there was no time in white space so they would have immeasurable speed immeasurable speed > infinite speed> speed of light so it doesn’t effect anything
Running faster than time doesn't mean you can time travel, that's all I'm saying

As someone who knows Miku, I think it’s highly unlikely that she’ll cover either one of those videos, I’m afraid. She’s not much of a Kirby fan and the other video isn’t exactly in-line with her brand.

I'm in the process of trying to watch the other series, so I might come back to this idea after that but, right now, I don't think I have the proper knowledge to take that one down. Sorry.

I mean even the fan base thinks sonic has become a joke in the gaming world can we really be mad at him for that reason anyway. Anyway I feel like I need to remind you that matpat likes to be more realistic with his theories and not just relying on " it's just magic". I seriously don't get why you hate the guy so much😒.
I'd say that's an overgeneralization; the fandom I see is very supportive of the franchise, even if we do acknowledge the series has taken a dip. We don't treat the series as a joke, we just want a bit of improvement, is all. It certainly doesn't mean we take kindly to the thing we love being ripped on in such a callous manner like it's stupid and undeserving of anyone's love.
Furthermore, I'm not arguing with MatPat being realistic. What I'm saying is that, *very blatanly canonically* the time travel in Sonic CD is straight up magic and that the things MatPat was trying to say about the series don't line up with what's actually seen in the series. It's wrong to push real-world science where it doesn't belong and then try to call it a legitimate theory.
Finally, I don't hate MatPat and I'm about to have a very informative video come out stating why, tune in for that when it comes if you want my reasoning.

I dislike the Archie comics because I find fault with them. This is because I've read them and I've come to formulate my own opinions. Every comic I covered in this video I've actually read, and then re-read to write my script. I also harped on the pre-Super Genesis Wave point because the Super Genesis Wave reset the entire Archie universe, making any point using pre-SGW content shaky at best and flat-out wrong at worst.

Not to be rude but mat pat only cracked a simple joke and you acted like it was the spawn of Satan.
Thought I do agree mat pat should stop acting pretentious about some of his theories.
The joke was the least of my concern, I just wanted to use the joke as an in to rant about matpat's attitude because the whole thing comes off as condescending to the audience he's supposed to be addressing.
Being "whatever you said" isn't a excuse either their are a lot of mat pat debunking channels like the metalblade5 or dafawfulizer and they don't act so salty about it.
Still though screw Mario is mental.

If I were to give you advice go and watch some of these debunking videos and try and structure your videos like this so that you don't come off as condescending.

RedQueenMiku2 I can understand the persona but in the MIM debunking you compare mat pat to actual scientists and say indirectly that he should've been fired, even thought that theory is now 7 years old, ,my advice would be to debunk theories in the 2 or 3 year demographic
Because some of the those videos maintain some relevance.

As Miku stated on another comment and in the video itself, she talked this theory because Matpat got stuff wrong, and worse so, stuff wrong that couldn't even matter to his theory because he uses Archie canon to explain a Game feat. So even if Miku had some stuff wrong about Archie (which she hasn't), it doesn't matter because Matpat using Archie stuff to explain Game stuff is useless and dumb.
Furthermore, I don't see why the number of subscribers matters in this? and I don't get the last part of your comment
No she got stuff right you want to think she got wrong was the dimension destroying and the UltraForm but he knew about the girls because he just left it out to get people interested in the Archie comics

Hi! Allow me to step in here myself. One: no, this theory is not true, i went into great detail explaining all the fatal flaws with this theory and why it can't possibly be true. Two: subscriber count should not matter because if that were the case then you shouldn't be able to touch me with your 1 subscriber; it should only be the content at hand that matters and I should be able to criticize MatPat regardless of my sub count. Three: my disclaimer plainly states: "I want to make it clear that this video is not an attack on MatPat as a person outside of his chosen UA-cam profession (meaning I'm just covering his videos, not his person)" and "I only wish to show the flaws in his theories and practices while creating theories". I really don't hate MatPat. I just find fault with his theories and wish to shed light on the reasons why, specifically because of people that take them as absolute truth when they're clearly fatally flawed.
Also, I don't know what you were trying to get at in your reply to Drake about "wanting to get people interested in the Archie comics", but that was not the point of that video, nor should it have been the point. The point of the video was to present a theory about Sonic CD's time travel and, in this argument, the Archie comics should not have mattered in the slightest, much less "getting people interested in them".
One yes if you eat too I have also read every single article, and every speak with you know what’s true you are allowed to have your own opinion hating on someone else helping something because you don’t think it’s canon is not right
