    Elvis had a great instinct when it came to best sing all types songs.

    I like the song and thought your reaction was great. It is not a high rank for me, but still enjoy it once in a while. Priscilla left when she realized that Elvis didn't want her anymore. After she forced the marriage and started to show her real character, after Lisa was born and she had an affair with her dance teacher, he was ready to move on, but kept her in his life because of their daughter. She is a cold, phoney woman. Seph, you are the best. You bring so much love and joy to our lives.❤❤❤

      Priscilla had affairs and then left after Elvis did the same more than once. He didn't want her to leave and was never quite the same afterwards but they remained close and often talked. I don't judge Elvis or any celebrity I'm a fan of but I also don't have a double standard where one side is blamed and not the other.

    Some of the early Elvis people don't like this album much, but I do. The title song of the album is my second favorite on the album. Some of the songs are very old ones, others are new (for the 70's at least). "I'll take You Home Again Kathleen" from this album is my favorite. This is about a husband taking his wife back to the home she misses and Elvis singing it will melt you into a puddle.

    On my playlists, in other words top 330, its soulful and groovy, and as you say the guitar break and the back up singers top class as per usual. Again it is that bit different from what has gone before which IMHO is the strength of the guy avoiding outright repetition.

    What was so special about Elvis beside his great voice, looks, stage presense style was he loved so many different kinds of music and dident get stuck in one genre, if he liked it he sang it.

    Elvis had difficulty finding really good songs after "Burning Love." Part of the reason is Parker's reluctance to pay song writers. This is ok.

  • @MarkRogersVOCFB

    Like Three Corn Patches, I kinda like it even though Elvis is far from on his game. He would never be the same vocalist again. Still worth a listen once in awhile.

      @@jjbud3124 I'm as big an Elvis fan as there is and let's face it. He was tired, sick, under the influence, smoking - all of that took it's toll. Elvis clearly hit his vocal from 1961-64 and was still the best until 1970. But then there is serious decline.

    • @jjbud3124
      @jjbud3124 18 днів тому +1

      @@MarkRogersVOCFB That's your opinion. Most of us like his later stuff just as much as his early stuff. Several of my very favorites of all time are still ahead.

    • @MarkRogersVOCFB
      @MarkRogersVOCFB 18 днів тому

      @@jjbud3124 Of course it's opinion. Everything on here is opinion. That's kind of the idea. If everyone is just going to come on here and say every song is the greatest and his vocal was masterful every time, then it's kind of a waste of time and it's all pretty disingenous. We all know he smoked cigars throughout the 60's. That damaged his voice. He was a drug addict. That damaged his voice. His diet was atrocious. That damaged his voice. His manager ran him into the ground with ridiculous touring schedules. That damaged his voice. He was under incredible stress and was depressed at least some of the time. Stress is not good for the voice and it is noticeable unless your tone deaf. I like Elvis and defend him as much as anyone on the planet as the GOAT. But let's be honest.
