Same i pushed it down and it got stuck
Lol I laughed so hard
Dude, you are a genius! I was getting very stressed out about calling a plumber and how much it was going to cost and social distancing etc. I had been battling with it with a knife for about 30 mins. Saw your video. Used the suction cup on the bottom of my kid's toothbrush. It came out in 5 seconds. 1 million thank yous!
Thank you for your nice feedback. I'm glad I was able to help. Have a great day and take care!
Isn't it awesome? Who would have thought something so simple could help so many lol I was battling mine for days and broke a knife aswell trying to pry it open
@@TechieBuildsTiny oh, wow .... yeah ... I never expected so many having same issue, but nice to see it helps most of the ppl ;-)))
Ive been poking mine with a knife before finding this video lol
Seriously this is the best hack ever. I blocked two sinks and they have been out of use for over 4 weeks as I couldn't fix it until I came across this video.....much blessings
THANK YOU!! You Saved me from a shouting and tears!!
Glad I could help!
Thank you. You prompted me to use a small plunger reserved for sinks.
Yaaaa
same dude
helped me out so much. except the fact that i used my little sister’s stuffed toy suction pad 😅
OMG genius, this has been stuck for 7 days and I was about to call a plumber before I airtask it. Genius! All done in less than 30 seconds. Daughter thinks I'm soooo awesome now.
Thank you for your nice feedback. I'm glad I was able to help. Have a great day and take care!
Thank you. Saved me a lot of hassle
Your comment saved my life, my suction hooks were too big, I decided to read the comments and and saw your toothbrush comment, and it worked! Thank you
Thousands of thanks. I get stressed too easily and was worried about a big plumber's bill but then found your video. Tip for others that if you have standing water above the drain, first remove it. And you can cut a slightly bigger suction cup to fit a smaller drain rather than having to find and buy a new one. I luckily had no use for one that was 2 cms too wide initially for me and did my best to cut around it on all sides equally to make a new smaller circle. Fit perfectly.
Glad it helped! Thanks for the feedback and for other viewers .... almost any suction cup will work - even without cutting. Even a standard toilet plunger would work ... ;-))
Such a brilliant video, couldn't be more grateful for this hack, has saved me calling out a plumber!!! People like you who post tutorials and such are honestly the backbone of society!
Glad to know, that I was able to help - thanks for the positive feedback! Very nice of you 💖
And people like you who post such gratitude make it all worthwhile for the people who create these vids. Big up 🤛
Thank You,!!!!!I I was at a loss, female homeowner. I was going to call a plumber, seen this video. Read all the post of where these suctions are in a home. I remembered my shower caddy. Unfortunately I had to break apart to get the suction cup. It worked like a charm.
Awesome. Congrats and thanks for the feedback 🌻
Brilliant! I was moments from calling a plumber. After messing with this for over an hour, I decided to check you tube for ideas/suggestions and there you were. Situation resolved. Thank you so much for saving what is left of my sanity and money.
Thank you for your nice feedback. I'm glad I was able to help. Have a great day and take care! 💖💖
THANK YOU !!! DID THIS AT 2AM SAVED ME FROM MY MUMS SHOUTING !!!

This tub is absolutely ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxVoi3B4CB6Oygq1-vo4OTL1M_M5JkrXif . Great quality too. The perfect size for the space in our master bath!
lol
Wow!! I used so many methods and it wouldn’t budge but your hack is a life saver! Thank you so much!! I just avoided paying for a plumber
Glad to know, that I was able to help - thanks for the positive feedback! 💖
Whew! That just worked for me! It raised the plug just enough that I could unscrew it at least. You just saved Christmas at my house! Thank you for posting this.
Thank you for your nice feedback. I'm glad I was able to help. Have a great day and take care!
Amazing!! Thank you! I used my daughter’s suction from a toy! Like everyone else, my stopper was stuck flush over the drain. It came off the rod in the drain and wasn’t the spring type.
Congrats and thanks for the feedback - very interesting!
Thank you! Worked like a charm. I don’t think the drain had been closed in two years, it was stuck solid. This fixed it in 30 seconds. Genius!!
Glad it helped!
Thank you, panic over it worked.
Watched your video, saw the bathroom bluetooth speaker next to me with a big suction cup and it worked! So easy. Thank you.
Excellent!
You are a life saver. I had tried taking it out with a knife, wood and all sorts available on youtube. Spent 2 hours on it til i found you!
Glad to know, that I was able to help - thanks for the positive feedback! 💖
Oh my goodness thank you sooo much!!! Im at a friends house and the stopper was already broken and i closed it and there was no way to reopen it!!! And thank god i found a little suction cup and it popped right out!!! THANK YOUUUU
Thank you for your nice feedback. I'm glad I was able to help. Have a great day and take care!
someone here said about a suction cup on a toothbrush, reminded me I have an ikea scrubbing brush with suction cup bottom. Thinking how am I gonna explain the broken plug to the housemates googled and this came up. I'm actually kinda annoyed this worked as well hahaha but in all seriousness thank you both. Ridiculously simple solution
Thank you for your nice feedback. I'm glad I was able to help. Have a great day and take care!
After I tried several other techniques which didn't work, I tried this technique and it worked right way. Thanks
Excellent!
I am absolutely surprised at how quickly this fix worked! Thank you so much for posting this video---a complete life saver!!
Glad it helped!
This works, at home I didn’t have a suction but I used the same method with a magnet (a strong one) it has the same outcome 😊
Awesome - thanks for the feedback
I just want to add a few extra alternatives. The suction cap, the magnet, all good. but I just had a Plunger work (it didn't pop up, but after plunging it I pressed it (as I had 100 times before) and it popped up!) this was the type of Plunger we use to unclog the shower (or, could be used on a toilet), the classic type. Another idea, a glue gun, you can pull dents out of cars with hot glue and a rod to pull, so that would work also, lots of options for whatever someone has around!
@@jonathanberry9502 Awesome - thanks for these hints. I've already prepared a new / updated video a few weeks ago which include all these additional options, but still have to edit the video, realease it and see, if people find it and then will probably replace this video, but thanks anyway! Take care!
THANK YOU SO MUCH I cannot, thank you enough for sharing this much needed vid 😭 Saved me a whole ton of trouble, god bless you 🥺💝
Thank you for your nice feedback. I'm glad I was able to help. Have a great day and take care! 💖👍
THANK YOU SO MUCH !! I was literally on the verge of tears thinking how I was gonna tell my parents BUT YOU SAVED ME
Glad to know, that I was able to help - thanks for the positive feedback! 💖
Thank you for providing this video. I purchased a similar suction cup from Walmart and it WORKED. I did not have to contact my apartment maintenance to come by for such a minor fix which is very cool. Thanks again for the helpful video.
Glad it helped and thanks for sharing
Thank you mr clever cloggs, you saved me money today !!!
Excellent! lol ....
Amazing solution! Thank you for saving my day fighting to get the stopper!
You're welcome!
Thanks a million ALLCHECKOUT. My daughter's sink was stuck for two weeks and it popped after I tried your method. Many thanks.
Thank you for your nice feedback. I'm glad I was able to help. Have a great day and take care!
Thank you so much!! This worked like a charm. Tapping didnt work and it was stuck solid. Sprayed WD 40, and that too didnt work. But your idea of using a suction cup.. and voila.. it was out!!! So so grateful to you🙏🏼
You're welcome!
This really worked! Thank you! :) thought it was going to be stuck forever 😂
Thank you for your nice feedback. I'm glad I was able to help. Have a great day and take care!
Absolutely brilliant worked like a dream, thanks for the great tip
You're very welcome my friend!
My friend, you're bloody hero. I was losing my mind trying to fix my bath plug that was stuck. It took literally 3 seconds with your method. Thank you very much

Omg this is genius so simple yet effective literally saved my life 👏👏
Glad to know, that I was able to help - thanks for the positive feedback!
Thank you, mate! Now I need to find suction cup though
lol ... there are many options. You will find some interesting options in the feedback are here as well. Good luck!
Thanks for the really good tip. I managed to do this with the suction cap from a sat nav (which attaches to the windscreen). although it did not have very good suction and was not the right size, I found by pushing it over the plug, and then moving it upwards strongly and suddenly, it created just a bit of movement in the plug - enough for me to push something in the gap and then prize it off. Great method. Thank you!
Awesome - thanks and congrats!
This is the best video! Saved me so much time and money. Genius!
Glad to know, that I was able to help - thanks for the positive feedback! 💖
Brilliant! Much scoffing from thed aughter, but it worked first tiem, thank you ;0)

Thank u so much.. u save my life during this Covid-19 . God bless u. It really worked 😁
OMG, life saver! Thank God I searched for this video the very next day. Worked like a dream and I too was about to call for a plumber.
Glad to know, that I was able to help - thanks for the positive feedback!
Thanks so much! I didn’t have any suction cups but was inspired by your idea.
Instead, I dried out the surface with tissue and used brown tape over only the plug and slowly lifted either end of the tape and it works for me! Thanks so much!
It may not work for all but as
Great job and thanks for the nice comment 💖
Didn't have a suction plug but I used paper to dry it and then used duck tape to pull. U a genius bru
Oh - wow - worked with the duck tape only? Amazing - thanks for the feedback!
Brilliant!! Thank you so much!
Glad to know, that I was able to help - thanks for the positive feedback!
This actually works it took me 2 days to find a content and this tops the bill thanks 😊
Glad I could help
Thank you so much! Moved into a new home and the plug got stuck saved so much messing about
Glad it helped!
I don’t normally leave a comment ! BUT THIS IS A LIFE SAVER 😭 I was almost about to get killed by mom 😂
Thank you for your nice feedback. I'm glad I was able to help. Have a great day and take care!
I tried this and the whole thing came out 😂 LMAOO currently texting my landlord
The whole thing? Wow - are you Chuck Norris?
ALLCHECKOUT hahaha no, the stick it’s attached to was corroded and snapped. It was about time it got replaced 🤪
I had to trim the suction cup a little with scissors to make it work, but it did work. Thank you very much
Glad to know, that I was able to help - thanks for the positive feedback!
OMG, THIS LITERALLY WORKED IN LIKE 5 SECONDS, TYSM!! U LITERALLY SAVED ME A BUNCH OF TROUBLE!
You're welcome!
Ffs don’t have a suction plug my mum is going to kill me
No reason to be mad. Can happen to anybody. Can't you go and buy a suction plug. They are available everywhere. Sometimes it also works with strong magnets (if the plug is metal).
Try a piece of tape
A magnet works better than a suction cup
Thanks for the input, but cannot really agree, maybe in some rare situations. Problems:
1. Where to buy fast / local super strong and cheap magnet wit holder?
2. Lots of sink plugs are not made from magnetic metal. Just checked mine and it was not
... but if suction cup won't work or can't find suitable size - why not as an alternate option
Thank you so much for this demonstration.
The plug had dropped into the hole about
2 mm and I thought it was impossible to get out. Plug dia is 40mm. I used a 30mm dia suction cup. It came up like magic!!!!
Now just need to find the cause.
Thank you again.
Excellent - You're welcome!
This clip may be old but the hack still works like magic! I just unplugged the damn stopper using this trick after texting my plumber SOS late at night. Needless to say I deleted my text to the plumber immed. THANK YOU FOR SAVING ME MONEY AND FROM SLEEPLESS NIGHTS!
Glad to know, that I was able to help - thanks for the positive feedback! 💖
I hate these plugs.
They are designed to fail.
They should be banned.
Lol - couldn't agree more ;-)
They are total shite
It worked!!! I was going crazy. Lol. You are the man!!!
Awesome thanks for the nice feedback
I didn’t believe that such a small suction cup will be able to pull it. Well, it did! Now looking at another video how to clean the inside of the mechanism so it does not get stuck again soon. Thanks!
Glad to know, that I was able to help - thanks for the positive feedback! 💖
Thank you very much! It worked! Did not have to wait for the plumber to come after all!!
You're welcome and no we just cleaned it properly and hence the problem didn't come back ;-))
It worked!! My plug got stuck earlier today and I have tried pushing it a few times every time I went into the bathroom and was just washing my hands with the bathtub tap all day. I thought I'd have to brush my teeth over the bathtub tonight, but this worked!! Thank you!!
Glad to know, that I was able to help - thanks for the positive feedback! 💖
You literally saved me from a sleepless night!! You’re the best :)
Glad I could help!
It bloody work!!! Had it stuck for weeks on end. You saved my sink buddy. Thanks. Now why don’t I think of that?!!!
Thank you for your nice feedback. I'm glad I was able to help. Have a great day and take care!
I can't believe it turned out to be this easy, BUT IT WAS! Sure saved me a lot of trouble, and money, from what I was afraid I would have to do. THANK YOU A MILLION!!!!
Congrats - good job and thanks for commenting 👍
Thanks saved me hassle it worked on my bathroom sink the drain plug was not connected to the pull-up valve and it got stuck with foul water in the sink. This took a few tries finally to my surprise it worked . I was pushing and pulling the open close vale but it was not hooked up to it so nothing happened. Thank you so much.
Thank you for your nice feedback. I'm glad I was able to help. Have a great day and take care!
THANK YOU! I spent way too much time trying to figure this out before I found this and it worked!
You are welcome!
Thank you!!! Thank you!!! What a clever idea. Saved me so much time and a plumber call out.
You're welcome!
I just tried this and it worked like a charm. Many thanks!
Glad it helped!
Omg Thank you!!! I was worried bc mine got stuck in my brand new sink. You rock.
Glad to know, that I was able to help - thanks for the positive feedback! 💖
Thanks very much for such a simple solution. Saved me taking off the trap and trying to push the plug up from underneath.
Glad it helped and thanks for the nice feedback 👍
That totally worked. A good squirt of corrosion x and it's all perfect again. Thanks!!
Glad it helped!
this was very helpful thanks..although when i used it, it did not come completely up, so what i did was i pulled up and stuck a small scissor under it and it worked..but thanks for suggesting the suction cup because the suction cup pulled it up enough for me to stick the scissor under and pull it out.
Awesome - thanks for the feedback
Thank you SO much. This saved me (and family) lots of hassle. Bless you practical person!
Worked like a charm. Saved me so much trouble
Thank you!!! Really simple and effective. Saved me! Was brushing my teeth in the bath for a week before this video.
Lol - Glad it helped!
It really worked... saved lots of hard work for me... Thanks for sharing....
You're welcome!
Thank you so much this worked so well for me! I watched other videos and tried lightly tapping it with a hammer and WD40 and it still wouldn't move. I used the same suction pad as you and turned the cap anticlockwise and it finally came off. I can't express how grateful I am for this tip! Thank you so much :)
Glad to know, that I was able to help - thanks for the positive feedback! 💖
Absolutely brilliant idea saved me £30 in plumbers call out, after weeks of trying to remove, two seconds and jobs was done with this tip
Glad it helped
Thank you so much!. Saw many videos but THIS ONE! it saved me
You're welcome!
You're very clever! I was going to try to pry it out with a screw driver. Thank you!
Glad to know, that I was able to help - thanks for the positive feedback! 💖💖💖
took me literally 30 seconds from watching this to undo that pesky drain plug! Thank you my friend!
Glad I could help!
Ah, thee almighty suction cup!! Excellent idea, Sir! This solved my issue with the stopper stuck down and a sink full of water.
Thank you, Thank you, and THANK YOU!!
Excellent! Thanks for the nice feedback!
Thank you!! I have a lever action plug that was jammed - even unscrewing and repositioning the levers (no mean feat) didn't work and I was getting very stressed. This worked beautifully
Thank you for your nice feedback. I'm glad I was able to help. Have a great day and take care!
ThankYou!!!! Such a simple thing to do and it saved me worrying what to do 😆😆😆
Glad I could help!
Honestly didn’t think this was going to work but when I tried it omgggg it worked first try
THANK YOU! ❤❤❤❤ It worked on the first try and it was SO easy (I spent more time remember where I'd stored the suction cup than actually popping this out).
I was seconds away of making a mess attempting to take the whole sink apart (which I wouldn't have been able to correctly reassemble), or calling a plumber.
Thank you for your nice feedback. I'm glad I was able to help. Have a great day and take care!
Thank you! I had no idea how to fix this and your solution was sitting in the drawer right next to my sink!
You are welcome!
AMAZING, I would never have thought of something so simple, worked first go, thank you very much, will remember this cheeky little trick
You're welcome!
THANK YOU LITERALLY SAVED ME I THOUGHT I WOULD HAVE TO CALL A SPECIALIST

Thank you big time! It really worked! I was thinking to drill my sink but good thing i saw your video.. you saved me! 👍😅
Thank you for the confirmation - very helpful! 💖💖💖
Ok I'm now the 539th thankful comment. Bathroom sink stuck fast with not even the tiniest gap to wedge it out. Was resigned to paying 100s £££ on a plumber or even a new sink...... Then in desperation I found this video. Problem no obvious suction cups. Then I noticed a tiny suction at the base of dishwasher brush. Had no confidence it would work, but hey presto! First go, up it came. THANK YOU!
Congrats and glad to know, that I was able to help - thanks for the positive feedback! 💖
It was right in front of my eyes... it works! life saver!
Thank you for the confirmation 👍
