Brezneff - No Nukes (Netherlands, 1982)

Hengelo, Netherlands new wave band Brezneff contributed a pair of songs to the 1982 compilation "Maar Toen Gebeurde Er Iets.. De Vrolijke Krisis!" aka "Merry Crisis". This compilation was released by VARAgram Records, a label associated with the "social democrat broadcasting organization" VARA and appears to be connected to an October 30, 1982 TV appearance of the same name which showcased the various musical ambassadors of the DIY youth counterculture. Brezneff's live performance at Merry Crisis is well worth a watch.
"No Nukes" also appeared on their 3-song demo tape "Remains of Me" from the same year. Read more about the band on super cool site Diggin' Demos.
