This drink has a bad rep, but if you drink it responsible it is actually really tasty. I love that you don't make the mistake almost every Barkeeper makes and just added a little bit of Cola. Mostly it just looks and tastes like something with Cola when I order it on the night out.

I am planning to buy a 14 oz highball for making this drink and other similar ones such as dark & stormy, cuba libre etc. Do you think 14 is a little on the higher side given the ice cubes that go into the glass !! Thanks.

huh? A hangover has nothing to do with the cocktail and just the overall amount of alcohol you are consuming along with if you are drinking lower quality spirits with unfiltered toxins. A long island is only 2oz of spirits and .5 oz of typically lower abv liqueur. Even if using cheaper shelf bottles isnt hardly enough to give a hangover to the average adult.

Ideal is what ever you prefer. I would say 14-16 to safe up on the ice. Let us know how it works out! Cheers
