Who in the world wouldn’t love to have Kimberly Jolly do a video on their book? Just marvelous. I love how you always go the extra mile, for example, showing us each quilt as made, and each photo in the book. This woman can sell, and thank goodness for it, because many of us need to buy online for many reasons so having someone willing to really go in-depth is critical to getting me to the point where I can buy with confidence. I love, too, how you mention where to use my Triangles on a roll or a Cake Mix so you can really make the best quilt possible.
One by Two is probably my favorite. Love a simple, and scrappy quilt.
I Love the quilt that uses triangles on a roll. There are so many nice quilts in that book
This video, is another reason why Fat Quarter Shop stands head and shoulders above the rest. I never hesitate to recommend Fat Quarter Shop when someone needs to shop online for a quilting project. That said, I will definitely be buying this book. I need another quilting book, like I need another hole in my head, but now I have to have it, 😂😂😂.
Exactly!!
Beautiful book and the quilts are gorgeous!! Wonderful job Kimberly showing the quilts!!!
Thanks Kimberley. Looks like a wonderful book. 🇦🇺
I really liked the Susan Ache Halloween quilt.
Their quilts are beautiful! TY, Kimberly Jolley, for taking us on a trunk show showcasing quilts in this new book!
Mistletoe for the win for me!
Thank you! What a great run through! It's Windjammer for me: I love paper boats. 🤗
Wow, these quilts are stunning!
Spooky waves is my favorite
Love , love ,love the Roundel pattern! I can't wait to get the book!
Thanks for the great video. They have some beautiful quilts. I love the medallion quilt.
Great presentation! Book looks very interesting. Thanks.
What a great book! The quilt behind you, in the beginning, really caught my eye.
Fabulous book! I really enjoyed the video and your insight into each quilt. Thank you
Thank you for sharing this book.
Several of these are on my list but Roundel is first. Thank you for the great show.
Such a beautiful book can't wait to get my copy I love the red and blue quilt. Thank you for the trump show beautiful.
I love the Garden Path quilt. I would make that one if I ever get that far lol.
Thank you Kimberly
They are all gorgeous and i would not know which one to choose first
Great video!
Great video. I plan to make the One by Two quilt first, then make a decision on the second quilt.
I too loved how Kimberly shared her tips and insights on how to approach each of these projects. I loved the wonderful photography of the quilts in the books too. They must have been outstanding to see in person.
Love the quilt in this book. I really interested on reading the fabric choices. You girls, hit it out of the park with this book !
That's a fun book! I love how they mixed fabric collections. I'm always doing that and now I don't feel like such an odd duck! Lol
Haven’t bought a quilting book in a long time but this one sure is tempting! Great trunk show!
This is a wonderful book. Thank you Kimberly for all you do, you & your team provide thoughtful insight to each project. You all rock!❤️
Thanks Kimberly for trunk showing this book and it's quilts! I have two favorites; Sunshine Day and Garden Path 😯💗. Your extra tips and guidance helps always.
Beautiful book, quilts and your explanations. I almost passed on this video, but glad I didn't. You did a great review. Thank you for the video 😊👍💕
Beautiful quilts. Wow, the designers are so talented. Thank you, Kimberley.
Thank you, Kimberly, for the detailed input you give on the complexity of the designs. You obviously give tlots of thought to your videos, your help, and all you do.
I love how you make quilts so easy. Thank you for all the beautiful fabric also!
Thanks so much for the up close look at all the quilts! I just can’t decide which one to make! I love both of these ladies designs and love there process of picking and choosing fabrics and colors! ❤️
What a beautiful collection. Can’t wait to see what you make, Miss Kimberly! Great job showcasing them all!🥰
What an incredible quilt book. I can see making all of the quilts for they all spoke to me. I only wish that more quilt books did the spiral binding like you do.
All the quilts are beautiful! I’m interested in making Roundel and reading the longarm quilter’s tips.
Great insights and love seeing where the blocks are in the quilt!
So fun! I am often pulled to a quilt by their fabric choices and especially color. So I prefer more plain patterns that show off those fabrics and color. So my two favorites are the Christmas quilt and the stripes. Oh to be as talented as these two and their two long armers!
I love this video, trunk shows are always appreciated. I don't have a knack for using colors, your video serves to inspire and exposing me the new quilter to a varied color pallet. i hBe watched this video at least 3 times.
The cross quilt is a take on antique Red Cross quilts. Ken Burns has a Red Cross quilt in his icollection.
Looks like a beautiful book! And of course the quilts are lovely as well. Thanks for sharing.
I love the Daisey squared and Roundel
I love this detailed look at the quilts in this book. Thank you!
Wonderful video and so many tips - great job! I love Rounded and Big Wreaths (to use up my 2-1/2" squares and mini charms).
Hello. They are all beatiful, but I liked Mistletoe by Lisa Alexander, for its Christmas colors, and I would like to do it. Thank you for showing so many optios.
Marvelous quilts
Thanks for the in depth review of the book, not sure which one I'll make but will definitely get it, i was on the fence prior to seeing this review, i especially look forward to the quilting details since that is where I'm getting stuck on finishing some quilts...
I ordered this book yesterday from FQS. Can’t wait to have it and try some quilts
I am enjoying your review of this book. Obviously I am just starting to watch but I feel that I need to share that I almost didn't watch because I rarely buy books. That said, I love the addition of embroidery and the inclusion of which fabrics worked and more importantly which ones didn't and why. I see a new book in my future.
Fantastic quilts!
I enjoyed this video.
Kimberly and team…great review of this quilt book…I like that is has the behind the quilt fabric selection…I am just starting to quilt and can use as many pointers available…Kimberly, do you give quilting degrees through FQS…lol…it would be nice❣️
Hmmm, I need a new book!
💜☮️
On the 2nd quilt, where embroidery was included, was the quilt top embroidered or were all three layers done so that it showed up on the quilt back also?
It looked to me, like it was just the top.
Hello Kim! It was just the top that was embroidered.
I NEED A VERY BEGINNING QUILT BOOK...ANY SUGGESTIONS ?
I don't have suggestions for a book but Kimberly does have a fantastic youtube series
on making your first quilt. I would also recommend Donna Jordan's youtube videos
Donna has several patterns that are free and she shows how to make the quilts.
Hope this helps.
@@IRISHLASS273 THANK YOU JANET, YES I WATCH THEM ALL, BUT WOULD LOVE AN ACTUAL BOOK THAT HAS NUMBERS, SIZES, ETC FOR THE NEWBIE.
What I meant trunk
Why is there so little hand quilting shown? I've noticed this with other tutorials. I find the process of hand quilting a quilt very relaxing. I would not want to send my pieced quilt top to a machine quilter to do the most important step of making a quilt my own. Just wondering.
Hello Karen! This trunk show is featuring quilts from Lissa Alexander and Susan Ache. We do not show hand quilting because Kimberly prefers to send her quilts to a longarmer but that's just her personal preference.
Instead of saying they "used" a certain quilter, maybe you could say they worked with or hired or teamed with...
