It's a beautiful car, my granddad owned one exactly same colour, split screen and front bench seat. It did not have a self start motor so had to be started with big key that went straight into the front bumper hole and connected with the engine. I spent my whole childhood travelling in it during the 70's.

Thanks Joshua-wonderful old cars-Ive had 3-last one was a rare van-bit slow so I put in a 1500 b series motor and gearbox then twin carbs-easy conversion-went great and carried any load-loved it and now miss it

Love this car. My friend's dad had one when we were in high school in the early 70's in of all places Saskatoon, Saskatchewan! Had great times in the old Morris!

Nostalgia this was the first car I owned in 1967and it was a 1953 model. I loved it but it failed the MOT. The bench seat was great and column change was good.. It cost me £23.10s from a friend at college. Happy days. Thanks for posting.

By the looks of things, the cooling system does without a pump and works by convection, drawing cool water from the bottom of the radiator and feeding it back into the top. Hence the large coolant capacity. Power output was a modest 40 bhp at 4.200 rpm (so not much to get hot about).

Very cool. Its funny how the Ignition interferes with the Camera. As soon as the Hood was closed it stopped.
Ford had an issue in the late 80's or early 90's with the Police Radios shutting the Engines off when someone would Key the Mic. Glad they figured it out.

This is the car I learnt driving about 50 years back. This was known as Hindustan 14 also in India.
    Reliable car.

My first "decent" car in 1960. Nice comfortable transport , but very sluggish. The official handbook quoted 0 to 50 in 30 seconds!

The Morris Oxford MO, manufacured 1948-1954 is really a big Morris Minor, but not as well known or as popular. I don't know how many remain in Britain,

I note the noise on the soundtrack at 4:16 when the bonnet is opened. This is probably electrical interference from the ignition system. There probably isn't a radio fitted but if there were you would need suppression capacitors.

The interference is a nuisance when making these videos. No radio, but provision was made for one by Morris.

A video comparing it to a minor would be interesting. The look so similar it is hard to see how much bigger it is.

The best looking Morris ever produced but they do need a modern running gear redo.
