That will then go to the developers to fix, its the publisher / company that decides when the game gets released, they set a date and if the game is not in a release state during that time its up to the company to push it back in many cases it cant be done as they already signed deals to print the game on the disc and other obligations. Can't blame the testers or the developers when its the company that refuses to hold a product back to give it more time to be fixed.

Unity was peak AC. The technology was fantastic, very little awkward glitching when parkouring and the god awful role playing crap hadn’t infested the series yet. Funny how AC regressed so much when odyssey was released.
The parkour looked great, but still wasn't perfect and had some glitches. Although that's nothing that couldn't have been refined in later entries. But Ubisoft just has a knack of not actually building on its gameplay systems and instead discarding them if they don't work properly.

Unity was, is, and always will be the pinnacle of AC gameplay, it gives you the assassin fantasy in a way none of the other games could. Despite the bugs and story issues it remains my favorite and most replayed entry in the series. The recreation of paris is a masterclass in game city design and the parkour system was the absolute best and hasn’t been topped since!

Unity was actually the perfect next step for assassins creed but the studio didn’t realise how much the new systems at the time could actually handle graphically. Game had the best parkour and the Co op actually worked well. Felt like it was downhill from there.
im not a big ac fan, but that thing that always stood out for me is how next level and serious ubisoft was in recreating a certain time and place in history. easy to overlook for gamers who dont have a interest in history. its a shame what have become of ubisoft
People generally didn't notice as a player but as someone who is working in the game industry, I can clearly say one of the most important features in this game that it feels so great is the character movements and fluidity of player controller. Instead of just moving in the direction of the player's input like AC games nowadays this game has very advanced movement control and feeling which was great. Also, combat and cinematics make you really feel like a badass assassin which we don't have this feeling anymore. I don't have any clue how Ubisoft went down from having the most badass movements and animations to the Knight online combat mechanics which you just hit and remove the health of an unrealistic looking enemy.
The work and technology that went into creating that Notre dame area for that assassination area/mission is crazy. Literally used blueprints from the official building before the Notre dame burned down. Incredible.

I would give so much for this game to either receive an update or to be remastered. AC:U was such a genuinely advanced and beautiful game, especially compared to where AC is now.
I still think its amazing when they were making Unity, they scanned the entire inside and outside of the cathedral for the game. Now after the fire they were able to use those same scans to rebuilt Notre-Dame with 100% accuracy.
You can see the care they gave this game it still holds up and even looks better than a lot of games today. The fact they made a 1/1 real life model of Notre Dame interior is crazy! It's truly sad seeing Ubisoft falling over the last years. They need to go back to their roots.

back when I saw Disney's Quasimodo doing parkour, I really wished a game where we can parkour at the magnificent Notre Dame. It was a dream come true when we got AC Unity.
It's seriously crazy how Ubisoft has added support for this game 10 years later. I have my criticisms of them, but that's an awesome way to be a developer.
This isn't really support, though. It's just a cross promotion for the re-opening of Notre Dame. But I also wish they'd give it the same treatment as Syndicate a few weeks ago.
I don't care what people said about Unity when it first came out. When I played it a few years ago, it was the best one. The coop missions were actually the best part of the game in my opinion. If we could get an entire AC co-op game (should have been Syndicate), I'd play that.

They were so accurate they used a version of AC in school to teach about history and now they include Naruto toys in their newest AC Deluxe Box that plays in Japan.
