I just heard a big bang while I tried to switch on the light on the hood, the whole vent stopped working now, Im wondering if there's a fuse that I can check please?
Hi I’m not sure if you’ll respond. Just installed my hood, I turn it off then I hear a CLICK CLICK sound as if the chimney is making a spitting down 2x Is that NORMAL?
Moved into a new home. Noticed that the paint by the side of the rangehood is peeling/staining +- small cracks emerging around joint lines. There is silicone/sealant on the edges of the rangehood, which seems to be deteriorating/having gaps. Is air escaping and this is causing the issues? Do I just need to reseal it with more sealant? Is sealant use normal when installing rangehoods?
Instructions are very good, wall plugs will not hold bent hood. I needed to cut plasterboard and put a cross piece of 2x4. I left protection on until the end, and it’s impossible to remove as the protection layer wraps around the back of the vent and main piece. I had to remove the vent then remove the protective wrap and the re-install. I had to loosen the main piece in order to remove the wrap which is wrapped around the back. Very frustrating.
Nice video but I do not feel comfortable installing such a heavy piece with drywall anchors. I would run backer board that is nailed into a stud that way you know its not going to come falling down.
@@claypottinger7372 I feel the same I fixed a tv to a dey wall before wasnt that heavy I think 16 kg ish but smtthubg over 20kg I'd be cautious I understand drywall is used everywhere these days especially new builds but it's all cost saving I'm not a fan undercoat and skim all the way lol
Great video as I'm not an electrician I may install the unit but leave the wiring I'm pretty ok with electrics but as I'm guessing a feed from fiss box may be required that is something that may not be fir me

Our hood is quite heavy. I’m concerned about hanging it with only screws (or even anchors) to the wall. The studs do not line up where needed. Any suggestions?
this video is 10 times better than any install video ive seen from the OEMs, great work!
Fantastic video and instruction. Only flaw was the 20Amp circuit breaker on a 14-2 Romex feed.
Wow, so nicely demonstrated most people can do it 👏 😀 👍 👌. Thanks for the tutorial.
So great, I needed to remove a hood from a house, presto!

What should i do if theres no stud behind the template holes for hanging?

question, so when ur drilling holes in the wall how do u know if there is wood behind the drywall. what if its hollow and cant support the vent?
Use a wood stud finder lmao rookie ..

Certainly you did make it easy for sure. Thanks for the tutorial 👍.

Vent not bent sorry
Looks so easy

Backer board! What a great idea. I never liked drywall anchors.

What do you mean by backer board? You mean a layer of plyboard behind the drywall?
Ugh mine just fell
@@claypottinger7372 I put up 1/2 inch plywood around my kitchen wall area where the cabinets are going and range hood.
Funny you didnt show the nost important step, making the hole in the wall
I know! Right?
Awesome video
i believe you mentioned 2 ft of straight duct before an elbow. The video shows hardly any straight duct. can you verify please

I came to see the part where the vent pipe is installed through the roof, this video appears to vent into the attic.
It vents out the wall or through the roof... Never should vent into an attic lol
There were one black and one green. You said it wrong.

toggle bolts, they will hold the hood up
The EZ toggles is the superior anchor, otherwise open the wall and add wood blocking..
maybe isolate supply before starting job ? Wiring seemed to be bare from the beginning.....ffs
Let’s see your video on how to install ffs

what's with the weird intonation at the end of every sentence?
I am robot man. Align ear hole to laptop speaker.
WTF the wall can be poked by screwdriver alone
U must not live in America lol
this wall is made of paper lmao
This is not how to install a range hood, unless you like scratches all over it, you must leave the protection on until the end duh
Why are American houses built so badly? Literally the big bad wolf could huff and puff and blow an American house down.
Yes it’s possible
