He drilled an extra hole for a stud and the anchors. And he will pull it down to run the duct and cut the hole. If you listen to him he said this video was just for hanging. Not a video about duct work. If you don’t like the video don’t watch it. Keep your opinion to yourself. These range holds also are self venting. So you don’t have to put duct in. Watch it a second time. Take notes this time.
It’s both. You can duct it to vent out or you can duct it into a charcoal filter, which means you’ll have to replace filters or filter media pretty quickly since it’s less effective the more it gets gummed up by greasy smoke.
Can i install in twin duplex 2 kitchen cooker hood exhaust ducts into 1 no of already laid 100mm conduit pipe. That is 2 hood exhaust sending fume out through only 1 100mm pipe
Lots of great physical installation pointers BUT.....according to the 2020 NFPA-70E code, Article 422.16 (4)(4) requires the receptacle supplying power to be "accessible", on a separate circuit and the cord length can only be a minimum of 18" up to a maximum of 48". Seems most manufacturers fail to address this electrical power requirement.
@@djjoydeep1194 you can either install the filters or the exhaust pipe like I did in this video ua-cam.com/video/tDzsOKYaflg/v-deo.htmlsi=R_nxOz6qTYDKWfQV

Moved into a new home. Noticed that the paint by the side of the rangehood is peeling/staining +- small cracks emerging around joint lines. There is silicone/sealant on the edges of the rangehood, which seems to be deteriorating/having gaps. Is air escaping and this is causing the issues? Do I just need to reseal it with more sealant? Is sealant use normal when installing rangehoods?
Awesome video. You think Cosmo would have one. I have a higher ceiling and I’m having trouble finding extensions to bring the ducting higher. Gonna try calling them
I can't imagine doing this before the vent duct is through the ceiling. Don't know how he's getting suction with the vent going nowhere. I also can't imagine anyone anchoring to drywall. I don't want to be critical, but saying you don't have to find or install studs to anchor to the wall is just plain wrong.

Who cooks that much stinky stuff ? Just vent inside for as little cooking most of us do nowadays . Venting outside is expensive and maintenance is a pain .
Thank you. Very clear. I installed my range hood by myself, these videos are a great help for single mums!

Agreed. I hate the music and time wasting.

Any thoughts on a flange that goes around the square housing at the top to cover space? Similar to crown molding? Something simple, please?

Shut up boomer
This qualifies as accessible.
Hi. Is it ok/safe to leave the outlet/plug behind the vent ?
That's how mine is setup and was told by the building inspector that it is acceptable
Hi, what happened with the smoke? Where that smoke going? You not supposed to lead the smoke out from the wall chemeny?

What if you don't want to run the duck outside? Will the fan work as good?
If you don’t want to vent the fan to the outside you’ll need a ductless exhaust fan.
Did your chimney go all the way to the ceiling?

Hi if a motor is broken is it reasonable to replace the motor only or change the hood completely ??
You can replace the motor I had to replace one once and used a motor from a bathroom exhaust fan
These don’t require to vent out. Filter traps all u need to clean filters about once a week
Is this okay to be ductless, any problems?
I did run a duct to the outside but you can buy a charcoal filter for this model and can be run ductless

I went with 26 inches

Some people recirculate the air using carbon filters with no vent
Some of these come with carbon filters as an option to not vent and these things are relatively light l, like others mentioned
