bro, love your content, have done for so long now. Please please please, make an indepth video about the primordial wave build currently being used by the No.1 resto shaman.
I’m already having a blast with my holy pal - got tired of resto shaman after SL and wanted to roll something new. Hpal had been so fun … although lots of button mashing. Lol. Looks like the fun is just going to increase! :)
I've started maining hpal this patch, and fell in love with the avenging crusader playstyle. But it seems that now the build will get heavily nerfed with the rework and I'm scared they'll suddenly kill my favorite playstyle after I've enjoyed it for just half a patch. I've started gearing my MW in case I don't like the rework, but I'd like to hear your thoughts on how avenging crusader is going to perform in 10.1.5
All i'm thinking about is the extra keybinds O_O. Giga changes though. If they dont nerf the healing overall we are going to stomp over the other healers tbh.
i love range holy but losing out on dmg just from not smacking the boss means it will never be BIS sadly, for it to work they would have to make an alternative option to melee(maybe concecration dmg buff and castable on a friendly but cant melee anymore) idk something
In my SL experience, Hpal works great with a team or with decent friends, but with PUGs Rsham excels on holding on. I do love melee healing, utility and instant casts, but I feel that he suffers a bit because of teammates. That rework could be interesting, lets see. Too soon to say something
If you already had your glimmers out couldn’t you daybreak divine toll with resonance? You can get the mana and the burst without dropping all your glimmers but for a couple seconds?
I think that's gonna be the play most of the time. Big burst heal, mana return, then instantly get most of them back up and running and have some chunky ones to finish getting them back up with rising sunlight.
im a bit confused, on your latest video u explained how damage on healers does not matter right now because healing checks etc. but i came to see this and i hear otherwise, can you elaborate for me?
I wonder how Rising Sunlight works with Divine Toll. What happens if you set up a bunch of Glimmers before AoE damage, cast Daybreak, then cast Divine Toll? Do three of the Holy Shocks from Divine Toll cast two extra times? If not, you could apply Glimmer to 5 people with Divine Toll (after Daybreak), then your next Holy Shocks will trigger Glimmer a bunch of times on all 5 people.
I don't heal much on my paladin, mainly Ret. However, when I do I enjoy the Melee build far more than I ever did enjoy the caster build from back in the day. I healed some back in Wrath. I'm sorry, I'm a Paladin, wearing plate. Not a cleric in mail, or a Priest in Cloth that both need to be farther from the fight for safety. I don't mind if they do something that makes the Caster build viable. The key world Viable. However, I believe that the Melee version should be far superior, because it lives up to the Class Fantasy of the Paladin. A Holy Warrior that is in the thick of battle, dealing out holy damage to their enemies, supporting and healing their allies on the frontline. If you think a Paladin should be in the back just casting, you have be wholly mislead in what a paladin is. No where in Fantasy do you see a Paladin supporting from the rear. Why this was ever a thing in vanilla to Legion? Only shows Blizzards ignorance of what a paladin was from things like Dungeons and Dragons, where the Class was inspired from. You want to sit in the back and cast heals. There are plenty of healer specializations in the game that do so. If you want to heal through the Holy Light like this? The priest has two playstyles for you. one that is offensive, and proactive, and one that is reactive, and has an overwhelming amount of tools to do this with. I mean seriously if you have healed as a Holy Pally over the years, you have constantly hit wall, and been like, "Damn I wish I had something I could use here, here, or here." At first it I need an instant heal that i don't have to wait on a proc for. Holy Shock was born. "Damn i wish I could aoe heal." Well the best they at first gave us was Beacon. "I really F**King need aoe heal." Light of Dawn was given to us. "ok that helps, but its still not aoe." Lights hammer was born. I'm rambling, what I was trying to say is that every wall that Paladin has hit in its healing kit, Priest has always had an answer for. I'm hoping that these changes really help out Holy Paladins, but I also hope it buffs their damage. They horridly over nerfed Holy Paladin's damage in shadowlands because of an ability they put in the game. Ashen Hollow. They also nerfed our mana efficiency at the same time and Holy Paladins went from must have to well they still got good utility for raids. I think Avenging Crusader should be changed into something similar to Templar strikes from the Retribution Paladin tree. Makes it a two step combo, that either heals some close range aoe, or heals those that have Glimmer on them. For me its makes Crusader strike less of useless ability for the spec out side of damage. Makes it fun, and makes it fit into the spec even more. First argument I hear in my head is. "Then why even have Crusader Strike in the game anymore?" its a base ability that will help the player leveling up get use to the flow of the priority systems that is Paladin. "This wouldn't do much for the Caster build." Duh, if you are sitting back and casting, you are already not using the ability almost at all.
@@ThomasBachler01 Maybe you could be less of ass, and explain what you mean before you open your mouth. I already admitted I don't main the spec, but I keep up on the class of Paladin as whole as much as I can. I know what I enjoy and don't enjoy, and that is what MY suggestion was based upon. Now. Can you elaborate? because I'd love to hear other ideas, I honestly really do enjoy theorycrafting. Or is a STFU in order?
Melee holy Paladin just is so much better in my opinion. Doing +22 and +23 keys as a caster would feel terrible from a dmg stand point and in raid I love being in melee but in pvp a viable caster build would be nice
As a healer main who likes doing 20+ keys (although this expac has been trying its best to remove that fun...) I just keep looking at the dmg and wondering how the changes will affect it. I don't think any healer has been "dead" this expac in high-keys (not talking about the top 100, just pushing past 20) but nothing feels worse than doing everything in your power, ending a dungeon at 30k, then seeing an RSham or Dragon pull double that just because of the spec design. HPal had it rough S1, S2 def looks way better (IMO S1's boss designs were the issue) but that feeling of inadequacy is the worst. That and the insane reliance on DPS to properly time every DR in their kit (which we know they don't...their DPS for a reason) because of all the unhealable excessive dmg at those key levels is just...iuno. Show me new HPal can do RSham dmg, without losing their current solid burst healing and I'll be a happy mofo.
So even A Holy Paladin can get an absorb shield rework that seems simple and effective. That's now Both Evoker and Paladin, yet Blizzard seem to share no love for Disc Priests who have 894889043280943 buttons to press for half the output/reward.. Nice..

Not rage spent like the paladin one. Wich by the way never procs on bosfights Stupid. Just stupid Other than that. Good video 🎉❤❤
I enjoying holy paladin as it is now, maybe a little bit more dmg will be required. As the Holy paladin main for a really long time this changes probably will make me to switch to another healer. The ppl who does not playing holy paladin constantly would not understand how strong they are in M+
Why because you actually have to think out side of should I holy light, or should I flash of light? which Flash of Light being the answer 9/10 times. I'm sorry, but I think Holy Power, or "combo points." is one of the best things they ever did for Paladins. Moving them to the frontlines, was the 2nd best thing they did in Legion.
@@nthnthms1212 Casting Holy Light, and Flash of light with Holy shock on Cooldown is brain dead. In Vanilla when a holy paladin with a enough crit literally would spam Flash of Light and never go oom, and heal like a champ. That is brain dead. On top of choosing when you might need to spam some Flashes of Light, or time a good Holy Light, is not brain dead.
