@@shanebell2514 I was referring to what the general public opinion might have been back there. If you allow separate Black states without any control or supervision, why would all the blacks not come together to revenge for the years of oppression against them

@@RushilJain-si2hx The African American population after the civil war even until the "great migration" of the early 20th century were in many counties of the South a clear majority, and yet in these areas they did not take revenge, the only mobs recorded are White, and to your opinion that if the Black population had separate states for themselves that they would take revenge on the Whites, my answer to that would be if the only people in those states were Black then there would be no White people to be attacked in the first place.
But all this conversion is conjecture, with no reality.

Johnson was an abolitionist read sermons of Greenville Presbyterian Church…. This just smear job on a good man who was hated by slave owners … this is why my GGG uncle who was AJ’s personal body guard in TN had to resettle to ill after war… he ran with Lincoln bc he agreed and faithfully carried out Lincolns’ policy and wishes Lincoln was not a land redistribution commie unlike many of todays flaming commies

Johnson was an Anti Negro white supremacist that stole land from the freedmen people. Because of his Amnesty Proclamation he his solely responsible for Negroes not having inter generational wealth today. He is responsible for pardoning rebel terrorists to form new governments in the rebel states to enact black codes to suppress Freed peoples rights.

Unfortunately, to regain à semblance of safety, life, liberty, and justice; a(n) implementation of a comprehensive separation plan was in order--but they wouldn't adhere to it--because of the dominate Black American dollar.
    Desegregation was a dissolution,!

The blacks were no longer technically slaves, but there were laws the South passed that kept them in a subordinate position. That was what Johnson's "reconstruction" made possible. Throughout the late 1800s and for the first half of the 20th Century, lynching as only nominally against the law.

Andrew Johnson’s the Worst President Of The United States ever to reside inside of the White House and even a Real Nasty Guy in Person whom should be Rated with a D for the Disgust of his Actions In supporting white supremacy violence in the south as well and that he shouldn’t have ever gotten away with getting kept in Office after his Impeachment trial had ended in 1868 and that he’s still the worst thing ever when it comes to Historians whom research and teach us about him and those very first chapters of Reconstruction from 1865 - 1869 !

I like Andrew Johnson! Andrew Johnson could have been a good, if, not, great President if there wasn't a hostile Congress bent on vengeance upon the South. Andrew Johnson continued Lincoln's reconciliation policy. Johnson stuck it to the Southern Bourgeoisie. He was a decent, honest man. History will see that Andrew Johnson was railroaded.

Since the South was guilty of enslaving fellow human beings, thus creating a segment of the population without property or education, the Congress was so much bent on vengeance as it was on providing blacks with the means of taking care of themselves -- "forty acres and a mule." Johnson was opposed to that, and was happy to let the South recreate their slave society, with various laws that permitted them to have the former slaves work for lower wages than whites. The so-called Carpetbaggers and Scalawags were often compassionate people concerned with trying to help former slaves be able to lead human lives.

“Before allowing them back into the union” they didn’t want the union in the first place, that’s the reason for the war. Not slavery, taxes.

if we had only done what the radicals wanted to do. not just free the slaves but also give them rights. without rights,no REAL freedom. slavery should have been abolished in 1799 but somehow A.Jackson kept in going. although he was not elected as president(somehow) and saw to it that blacks would be enslaved again. aka welfare. what did the democrats say the "radicals" back then would do if you did not vote democrat. the kkk (democrat founded) said the lynchings would stop if they voted democrat. now they say that the welfare will stop if you don't vote democrat.
